  1. I'm going Hoshido first for the same reasons. It's easier but has the new classes and weapons, so I figure I'll go through it first before getting into the real meat of it with the harder and more exciting Nohr path.
  2. Well, I made it because I wanted to see it. Can never have information in too many places, so I have no complaints. :p I haven't been able to load yours, though. Does it have anything I missed?
  3. Got it, thanks. Anything on Villager? (I'm leaving out Corrin and Aqua for now.)
  4. To be sure, magical status has been implemented very poorly in the series so far, but that doesn't mean it can't be used well. The Freeze staff sounds plenty effective for the player while still being limited enough in scope to be available enough that there's no reason for the player to hold back, while also not being too obnoxious for an enemy to use.
  5. Thanks. So the promotion trees are like: Samurai --> Trueblade / Weapon Master Oni --> Shura / Blacksmith Lancer --> Spear Saint / ??? Spellcaster --> Exorcist / Basara Priest --> Yamabushi / Exorcist Priestess --> War Miko / Exorcist Pegasus Warrior --> Holy Pegasus / Kite Warrior Archer --> Bow Saint / Puppeteer? Ninja --> Jonin / Puppeteer Kitsune --> Ninetales Villager --> ??? Cavalier --> Paladin / Great Knight Knight --> Great Knight / General Axe Fighter --> Berserker / Hero Mercenary --> Hero / Bow Knight Thief --> Adventurer / Bow Knight? Dragon Knight --> Dragon Master / Revenant Knight Dark Mage --> Sorcerer / Dark Knight Rod Knight --> Strategist / Butler / Maid Garu --> Mana Garu A few holes but does that seem right?
  6. If you're hit with a sword, you're bleeding. The game already accounts for that; there's no reason to add anything extra. Deliberately inflicted statuses via skills or magic are cool, though, and in fact it sounds like they're back.
  7. Less extreme status staffs? That's fantastic!
  8. So do we have a full list of (known) classes anywhere?
  9. I don't see it impacting the story; I think it's just bonus content for people who want the feature. So Outrealm stuff fits best.
  10. The situation just wouldn't exist. In Awakening, characters could inherit transformations but would only be able to use them in the proper class. No one class has access to multiple transformations, so you'd only have access to one at a time, if they even could get into Corrin's class for dragonstones. And even if they could, the fact that they don't stack means it's hard to see how it could be broken in the first place.
  11. Nah, I checked because I couldn't believe it either but Normal really does have 5 and Lunatic definitely has 11. It might be an abnormal situation but if Hoshido Ch7 is another intro-type map it'd have just as much reason to get treatment that extreme.
  12. Woah, I forgot it was that extreme. Shows how appealing FE13 Normal is. :p That kind of treatment could definitely make this chapter a plenty reasonable challenge.
  13. Ahh, that's fair. Maybe I was mixing it up with the previous couple games; I remember some complaints about them not messing with enemy layout at all?
  14. If any more chapters around this point have this pitiful of an enemy layout even on Lunatic, they won't be particularly hectic. By this point in Awakening we had to be shielding Emmeryn from a whole bunch of enemies. Hell, even Awakening's Prologue looked more intimidating than this, so while it does get a bit of a break if it's tamer than the ones around it to ease into the Hoshido team, that still doesn't completely excuse it.
  15. Even ignoring the stats, that was a pathetic amount and layout of enemies for what, Ch6?
  16. And it's the only reasonable way they COULD show up. Bonus content for fans is one thing, but another game with story-relevant kids this soon would be madness.
  17. You're fine with timeskips of 15 years minimum being forced into every game, but not some potentially irrelevant-to-the-main-story time zapping. Y'all need to get your priorities in order.
  18. I don't know what a "dream island" is but I like the sound of that. Thank fuck.
  19. You would rather shove a ~15-year timeskip into the middle of a game with no evidence of having a need for a timeskip in its main story and have all the characters somehow not age at all during that time than have a bit more magic in a game FILLED with magic?
  20. Are y'all seriously saying that time travel or Outrealm stuff would be worse than finding a way to shove the kids into this game WITHOUT time travel?
  21. Doesn't sound like it. Someone said there was a mention of them being in both main paths, and the third path replaces the other two rather than following them chronologically.
  22. Awakening was the most successful FE game and Fates has a reasonable claim to bringing the most new stuff to the series of any game since Thracia.
  23. I'd almost prefer characters to get married without any on-screen conversation about it, like in FE4, than rehash the disaster in Awakening.
  24. We know there will be some dialogue associated with this, but otherwise we don't know how this will be handled.
