  1. Maybe it's more somewhere between the two. It's been a long time since I've played FE10.
  2. FE10 Hard is a better comparison to FE13 Hard. Most DLC maps scale with file difficulty. The main exceptions are the three standalone bonus monster maps where you get gold, Exp, and ultimate weapons, respectively; the first two are meant to be pitifully easy, but the third is meant to be more of a challenge. As a result of the lack of scaling, it seems less impressive on the higher difficulty levels, matching up more with maps in the later end of the story rather than postgame. The other exception is the final Ultimate Training DLC, where all enemies are at absolute full power on any difficulty level, although that map also has a harder version you can play on any difficulty level for an additional reward.
  3. It's the only promoted class with three weapons, and a mounted one at that. I guess they felt the need to give it some penalty in exchange?
  4. All stats are not created equal, and caps are virtually irrelevant until postgame anyway.
  5. There's no point in having the option of a 10/10 score if you can't use it for anything. It's a rating that should go only to the best of the best games, but it can go to those best games even if they aren't perfect in every respect. If someone considers FE13 one of the absolute best games - a reasonable standpoint - they are well within their right to call it a 10/10 game. And of course it makes sense that such a person would frequent an FE board. We should expect the sort of person who would frequent video game forums to pay particular attention to the forums pertaining to the games they regard as the best.
  6. No; only FE9/11/12 use chapter deployments for determining support points. In FE13, support points are gained specifically by having the characters work together: by having them fight as a Pair or adjacent, or by having one heal or dance for the other.
  7. There are no secret shops. All shops are on the world map; you unlock a new one after every chapter you complete. The random traveling merchant items sort of correspond to secret shop-like items, I guess, but you don't need them for these. You can buy the regular versions anytime after Ch12 and the upgrades versions anytime after Ch23. You get extras of the regular versions from bosses in the couple of chapters before Ch12, although if you excessively use Panne or Nowi before that point, you can end up getting them briefly stuck without a weapon until you get the second copies. Of course, once you've reached Ch12, that's never going to be a problem anymore.
  8. Renewal heals you reliable at the start of each turn, even if you don't kill anything, but it heals you less than Life Absorb does on the turns you do kill something. Sol is even less reliable due to randomness and depending on the damage you actually do, but in the right situation, it can have potentially even better payoffs. Like all skills with a stat-based activation rate, it gets much better in postgame when that activation rate goes way up.

Nothing I got out of my later reports is useful right now. Guess we're waiting on 13th then?
  10. The Kid Icarus results were pretty much the greatest thing ever in video game writing so this would be fucking awesome.

Elieson didn't even claim a role; he claimed an ability. A role is like Kiryn as English Fool, BBM as Felt Voyeur, etc. Are we to believe Spades Slick is a "Felt 1x Deathproof"? Unless that's the case, he's hiding what his role is really called. ##vote Elieson
  12. So I survived N1 but then got a third of the game trying to kill me. Ouch.
  13. Staffs are good. Dark magic is good. Extra movement is good. It's just a matter of which capabilities best fit what your team needs.
  14. Basically, you don't need to actually give them any support levels, just more support points together than with any of the other candidates. The support points are what build towards support levels; any support levels with Sully, Sumia, Maribelle, or female Avatar will trump that, so you'll need to have kept them all far away from Chrom up to that point to avoid that. It's worth noting that this is probably a near-futile endeavor if you go with a female Avatar on the higher difficulty levels, unless you have her marry someone else before that point.
  15. They keep their weapon equipped, like in every game other than FE10.
  16. All characters who were on the Japanese site also have their profiles up on the English site. Tiki, Say'ri, Anna, and Validar have their profiles hidden right now; you can only access them through changing the character number in the URL, but they're there; it's just a matter of the gradual announcements.
  17. The total per file is 49 "actual" characters and up to 20 "guest" characters.
  18. Long story short: if you have 100% Weapon Saver, you can freely use any legendary or forged weapons you want with that character. If you don't, you're going to need to severely limit your use if you're planning on using that character for hundreds of maps, a feasible scenario.
  19. The Intermission really doesn't count; it's story stuff rather than any real gameplay.

Wait yeah hold on a sec. 13th, if you cleared Prims when he said he was a mason with Shinori, why the hell would you investigate Shinori next?
