  1. For SNES, Earthbound, Plok, Rock 'n' Roll Racing, Street Racer, Taisen Puzzle-Dama, Panel de Pon and Jikkyou Oshaberi Parodius are the first coming to my mind. The last three are JPN-only, but you don't need any Japanese knowledge to play them (first two are Puzle games, third one a Shoot-em-up).
  2. I'm horribly late, but thanks to everyone who wished me happy birthday back in November !

  3. Other alternative you can try to get the book: Nippon-Export. Their big advantage is their service where you can ask them to search for a specific item you want and order it for you. Just make sure to give them the item's references (in this case, the book's ISBN) and ideally, the Amazon link, and there you go. I highly recommend them, as I'm particulary satisfied with their service: you're in contact with an individual person (and not a bot) who informs you about the items' details and prices and answers to your questions; and I got the items without fail and in excellent shape, for a very satisfiying price.
  4. Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side 1st Love on DS got very recently (June 2010, if memory serves right) a full translation patch, and I've heard fans are already working on the 2nd DS Girl's Side, if that can be any comfort for you. I'd love the same to happen for the standard branch of the saga, if only for more people to discover them (as for me, I can manage with my Japanese skills), personnally. T_T
  5. Yep, professional refinishing machines that can repair or reduce CD scratches exist. I know several used games shops in France that have those machines and offer the service, so why USA shops wouldn't have those ?
  6. Why not a Fire-Emblem themed Panel de Pon? After all, there was a Pokémon one before, and both Fire Emblem and Panel de Pon are games developed by Intelligent Systems. :P
  7. And if your game disk still doesn't work after cleaning, and has slight scratches, go to a DVD rental store or a game shop with the needed hardware and ask them to fix your disk.
  8. Not only Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side and Love Plus are games in a genre far too niche for the western world to be ever released there, they also are Konami games. And they got severly burned off by their failed Brooktown High attempt three years ago, so...
  9. 1°) Eltshan, Ishtar, Arion, Musar (the Tornado-wielding Mage Knight of FE4's Chapter 9), and Selena 2°) Alec and Noish 3°) Sigurd, Cuan, Ethlin, Leila (of FE7, not Leilia of FE4), Greil. 4°) Ummmmm... The boss guarding Silesia Castle after it's captured by Andre in Chapter 4 or FE4. Donovan, if I remember right. 5°) No idea and opinion on this, so I'll pass. 6°) Adan and Hannibal, when I want to manipulate RNG via the Arena, in both Generations of FE4.
  10. I meant Briddgit and Jamuka, sorry.
  11. I got much better deals in Japanese stores than in French ones. So most of the games listed were bought in Japan. Here goes : (Yen conversion table used is the one of back when I bought the games, i.e. in 2009, so around : 1 Euro = 130 yens.) * "Colony Wars : Red Sun" (PS1) : 3 Euros * "I.Q. Final" (PS1) : 250 yen (1.90 Euro) * "Powermonger" (Megadrive) : 2.99 Euros * "Mitsumete Knight" (PS1), complete copy with manual and all stickers, everything in excellent shape : 150 yen (1.15 Euro ; according to several Japanese sites, that game is not easy to find) * "Mitsumete Knight R : Daibouken Hen" (PS1) : 500 yen (3.85 Euro ; pretty rare game, I've only seen it once in store in Tokyo during my trip there, doesn't go under 1000 yen at both Yahoo Auction Japan and Amazon Japan) * "Snatcher" (PS1) : 500 yen (3.85 Euro ; strangely the most expensive version of this game in Japan, doesn't go under 1100 yens in both Yahoo Auction Japan and Amazon Japan) * "Tokimeki Memorial : Forever with You" Limited Edition Box (Saturn) ; complete, excellent shape : 105 yen (0.80 Euro) * "Tokimeki Memorial Drama Series vol.3 : Tabidachi no Uta" Limited Edition Box (Saturn) ; complete, excellent shape : 105 yen (0.80 Euro)
  12. Sorry for the double-post. Marthur, no new translation for now (working on it), but I have something important to report regarding the application. I just tested it with those settings : * Patty and Faval are the children of Briddgit and Jamuka * Lakche and Skasaha are the children of Ayra and Noish * Patty and Shannan are paired together, * Lakche and Faval are paired together. Normally, in that case the game would do the following : Faval would inherit Verdane and Lakche would follow him, while Patty wouldn't follow Shannan (who inherits Isaac) and would take over Jungby in Faval's stead. However, the application give me out both Patty would follow Shannan speech, and Patty takes over Jungby speech. Me thinks it's a problem related to Jungby and Freege's special inheritance cases, right ?
  13. FE4 subs : * Daisy : Hoo boy... At least +4 in Strength, Skill and Defense, +25% dev. growth in Strength, and +10% dev. growth in Skill, Luck and Defense. * Amid : He just needs the Pursuit Skill to jump from low to great. * Femina : Pursuit Skill for her too, and +10% dev. growth in Strength and Skill. * Asaello : +20% dev. growth in Skill and Speed. * Dimna : +20% dev. growth in Speed and he's great.
  14. Well, aside from Sigurd x Diadora, Cuan x Ethlin, and in Thracia, Levin x Fury, if we want to be technical. :P
  15. Yep, that's the Oosawa one. Beowulf is in the Fujimori one, but he has a minor role in there, and this manga is geared towards Lachesis x [spoiler=Lachesis' suitor]Lex anyway.
  16. The third is Nea Fuyuki. Those three manga ARE officially endorsed by Nintendo (and thus not mere doujinshi), but their stories aren't considered part of the FE4 canon. Think of the Suikoden Light Novels for a similar example : officially endorsed by Konami, but Konami considers the protagonist's given name, Tir, as not his official one.
  17. The good : I'm pretty good at Puyo Puyo and its variations. I also fare well at Light Gun games with a little training. Back in the days, I mastered a good chunk of my Megadrive library (like Shinobi 3 on Expert Mode with no Shurikens for example), but I haven't played them since long ago, so I'm sure my skills have rusted. Same for Colony Wars 1 and Final Doom on PS1. Among my most recent games, I've pretty much mastered Mitsumete Knight. The bad : I'm terrible at shoot-em-up games. I do enjoy some of them, such as Thunder Force 4, Twinbee or Parodius, but I can't finish them without continues to save my life. And since the programmers of the Tokimeki Memorial series seem to be shoot-em-up maniacs, they included at least one of those as a mini-game in each of them, and I can't help but cringe each time I realize I'll have to go through one. I'm also not good at rythmn games. Beatmania is a litteral torture, Pop'n'Music is too much for me, and I can barely manage at Dance Dance Revolution. In fact, currently I'm playing Tokimeki Memorial 2 Substories: Dancing Summer Vacation, which is an Adventure game heavily geared around Dance Dance Revolution, and while I easily manage in the story parts, I'm laughably bad at the DDR part (doesn't help that "Hero", the main DDR song for this game, is an evil song. Why couldn't them allow the player to choose the other songs, such as the easier and much pleasant to hear "Tokimeki no Orugooru" or "Anata ni Aete", even if those Dancing Summer Vacation remixes of them are worse than the original versions ?!). I'll show you my pitiful performances soon on my Youtube channel, since I'm currently recording the run.
  18. Cool, glad they worked. :) I'll work on the Thracia scripts this week-end. Going for them first instead of Jungby, due to Asaello's hilarious lines. :P
  19. * Get lost Lilina bashers, I'll use her no matter what you say. * FE9 Ilyana is a nice char to use IMO. * I pity those who think Adan/Edin is a bad pairing, Adan!Lester is a cool char to use when you make sure to make him inherit the Pursuit Ring and the Killer Bow, and Lana's improved defenses don't hurt either. (Sure, it's weaker than Midayle and Jamuka/Edin, but a bit too underestimated considering the advantages it offers other non-bow wielder fathers). * I actually like Levin!Corpul, with the Leg Ring and a little Reserve Staff spamming he's good to go. After all, I have no qualms rotating Holsety between the three possible inheritors in my various playthroughs. * And also, get lost Leilia fans, I much prefer Lynn's looks and item inheritance advantage (and Holyn!Lynn is a guilty pleasure to play with a 50-Kill Hero Sword). Charisma and Barrier Sword sure are cool, but Lynn all the way for me. * Rodohlban doesn't get tons of credits to due to being Skasaha's sub, but I think he's one of the best substitutes out there. Ambush + 50-kills Ayra's Hero Sword = great.
  20. FE1/3 : Abel, but in a "meh" way. In FE3, if Paladins count, Sirius gets my TOTAL support. FE4 : ARES, my fave Cav in the whole series !! FE5: Haven't played it far enough for an opinion. FE6: Noah. FE7: Lowen. FE8: Franz. FE9: ASTRID, by far. I really like Makalov too. FE10: Haven't played it yet.
  21. Meh characters IMO. Only Ross and Dart get my thumbs up, and that's a stretch. I'd say I'd pick Ross as my one final choice.
  22. Yes, the Jugdral saga. 2 games (with one of them being the only FE game in the series with a Deluxe Limited Edition Box), at least 4 artbooks and guides (Treasure Book, FE4 Playing Guide, FE4 Nintendo Official Guidebook, Oosawa Mitsuki's Gekka Ginyu artbook), three different official FE4 manga, a series of three Thracia 776 Light Novels, several Jugdral TCG series, the Exceed a Generation set of figurines... And I may have missed a goods or two in the lot.
  23. This video speaks for itself in my case : Aside from those, I also got in 4th Gen two Shiny Bidoof (both in a chance encouter), a Shokotan Pichu (which I got by reserving my ticket for the Arceus Movie back when I was in a study trip in Japan), and a French Spring Pichu (got via Wi-Fi Mystery Gift). And recently, appeared as a non-capturable opponent in my Emerald's Battle Tower.
  24. So, Marthur, did you have a chance at testing the save files I gave you a few days ago ? On another note, I discovered Megatokyo recently via TV Tropes, and found out its forum was a hive of Tokimemo fans back in the 2000 to 2006. I had fun at reading their various past threads, and an exchange in particular made me so laugh I just couldn't resist changing my sig to add it XD
  25. Marthur, I've put some savestates for you at the FE4 Ending Generator thread, please check them out. ;)
