  1. Presumably, the variable parent's modifiers are the stat mods of the parents who aren't set in stone: fathers for Shigure and M!Kanna, mothers for everyone else. So if Midoriko's mom has a +2 Spd modifier, it would add 2 to Midoriko's starting speed.
  2. I'm aware of why he's bad, I just say "apparently" because I haven't played it for myself yet. :PBut yeah. Joins much later in Revelations than in Conquest, gains very little in stats to show for it, joins when a bunch of better units are also joining, and is ORKO'd in his join chapter (even on Normal, I think). Doesn't have great growths or anything to even try to make up for it.
  3. 2. No.3. Flannel's apparently amazing, Zero's good in Conquest but kinda bad in Revelations. Conquest Odin is ok, not great, but Revelations Odin is apparently the worst unit in all of Fates.
  4. 1 depends on where you're preordering, but GameStop definitely lets you do it in parts. 4 should be a yes for anywhere with physical stores. 2 is hit-or-miss; generally they're out of stock, but they've been restocking fairly often. No opinion on 3.
  5. No one is likely to cancel preorders unless something goes horribly awry with the distribution on Nintendo's end, to the extent that there literally aren't enough made. That's technically always a risk with preorders anywhere, but it shouldn't be an issue. The only game that I can think of where it happened was the Ghost edition of Destiny.
  6. Kamui can Buddy everyone, since Kamui only needs an A support to use a Buddy Seal. Everyone else requires an A+, which you can only have one of.
  7. This. Their main problem, honestly, is being late to the punch; the article itself seems pretty good.
  8. All three of the Awakening kids refer to their deceased parents at some point, if I'm not mistaken; at least one of them (in fact, I think it's Lazward) then gets asked how he met his mom so recently if she's dead, to which he replies something like "well, we went back in time and met her when she was younger."
  9. The only one that sticks out to me is that Amiibo!Marth has "MINNA MITEITE KURE!" as one of his crit quotes. I'm wondering if he doesn't just have all his Smash taunts.
  10. This. Or, the swimsuit is too tight and caves a bit there. But no, it's not the same color as her skin; to me it's similar, but a bit more gray.
  11. That, or he doesn't rejoin in Hoshido. The latter is my guess, given that he's a famous Nohrian knight.
  12. My understanding is that these battles are limited in number, unlocking every so often; as such, XP is still limited.Dunno for sure.
  13. Those are promotions, not reclasses though.
  14. I'm not so sure it does, since previous games with infinite resources also had buyable stat boosters. Dunno that If does, but it doesn't seem like a stretch.
  15. Hoshido already has infinite resources, so I don't know how relevant it is for Hoshido anyway.
  16. Dunno, but you'd still have to contend with limited XP. Plus, I'm given to understand that they aren't cheap, and Nohr has limited gold too.
  17. Aptitude is also only half as strong as it was before; plus, classing to get Aptitude seems expensive, which makes it pretty tough for Nohr players to justify I think.
  18. EDIT: Ninja'd by a lot. That's what I get for posting on my phone.
  19. I accept your answer to the question I asked, though it wasn't quite the question I meant - that's my bad. What I meant was more along the lines of "how is this entirely the same plot as FE7?"
  20. This is nitpicking your wording super-hard, so, apologies in advance; however, Cyrus isn't a wrong translation. Both Silas and Cyrus are correct, since they both have the same sounds aside from l/r, which isn't differentiated in Japanese. We simply took the opposite interpretation from Nintendo's.
  21. I mean, Hoshido was even said in the advertising to have a plot similar to older FEs, like FE1. I don't see the FE7 parallel though.
  22. Cyrus into Silas isn't a change, just a different translation; to my understanding, it can be read either way.
  23. Damn you, you edited in the joke I was going to make! Twitch chat already ran with it last night when the streamer fed Lilith a rice ball...
  24. Yes to both.EDIT: I misread. Sylphid is correct.
