  1. You realize those are encountered before the route split, right? Not only do they exist in every route, but Takumi would have personally seen them.
  2. Other way around. If an enemy with Counter smacks you on Enemy Phase and you hit them back, you don't take Counter damage.
  3. Saizo actually has a 45% personal Mag growth to 50% Str.
  4. This is correct. Stats from Guard Stance are the sum of the character's personal Guard Stance bonus and the bonus from their class; support level increases the personal bonus.
  5. With the exception of Ike, your levels are roughly where mine are, but I'm on Ch20. You might be a bit underlevelled overall.
  6. Also worth noting, since he says it's "this forum" that thinks Rolf is bad - /r/fireemblem rated Rolf the single worst character in FE9 when they made a tier list. So there's that too.
  7. Personally, I changed her to Archer at 10. Having a second serviceable bow-user made hard mode Conquest Ch10 a good bit easier.
  8. My understanding is that only Boo Camp gives XP in Nohr; other extra and DLC battles don't give any XP.
  9. You also make the choice in game if you've added at least one route as DLC.
  10. While I agree with your point, your examples aren't that good. Perceval isn't royalty, he's an Etrurian general; Elincia is actually never generic, she has a unique class in each game (Princess Crimea -> Queen) Also, I think the only people in the GBA games to get unique classes are the Lords, the main antagonist, and the final boss, plus mechanically unique stuff like Dancer and Manakete. Not that that's an invalid approach; just starkly different to what, say, Radiant Dawn did.
  11. Counting Xane and the Manaketes is a bit silly IMO, since their unique class isn't because they're important to the plot, it's because they're unit types that function differently from other units - Xane with his transformation, GBA Manaketes with their limited uses. You might as well count Dancers if you're counting those. The RD characters in question are all the rulers of their countries - worth noting, every country's ruler in Radiant Dawn has their own unique class (see: Elincia, Pelleas, Sanaki, Caineghis, Nailah, Tibarn, Naesala, Dheginsea) but Radiant Dawn's roster is also huge. Revelation's roster is a bit smaller, and the other routes' are smaller still. Besides, unique classes feel a good bit less unique when you're getting so many of them throughout the game - in Radiant Dawn they're mostly at the very end (ones gotten before that tend to not have constant availability - Elincia isn't usable in most of P2, Nailah isn't usable in most of P1, etc.) but in Fates you'd be getting unique classes as early as Chapter 5, which kinda kills some of the effect IMO.
  12. Yeah, one of the only things I dislike about the 3DS is that streaming or recording from it is a huge pain. I wish they'd release some official way to do so, I'd stream 3DS games almost constantly if it wasn't so difficult.
  13. I like it, but there are a number of Hoshidan names where Treehouse seems to have chosen the intent of the name over the Japanese theming, which a bunch of people are unhappy over. (see: Kaden, Rhajat, Caeldori)
  14. Actually I've been under the assumption that it's "kay-den" as a wordplay on "brocade", which is what "nishiki" means anyway.
  15. Even for the Japanese release, we got nothing about Flora until the game came out. Hell, we actually learned "Flora" was her English name before we heard it was her Japanese one too - the first time we saw a name for her was when Treehouse showed the English version of Conquest Ch7 at E3 just before the Japanese release.
  16. Also, "Nishiki" means "brocade". BroCADE -> KADEn. I actually like it. For all the crap people have been giving the localization's name changes, I think most of them are actually pretty clever - barring that, they're at least the best that localization could do in context. (see: Rhajat, Caeldori - keeping both the Japanese theme and the anagram of the Awakening name is more or less impossible, so they picked one)
  17. Late reply, but I didn't see this answered elsewhere. Kodachi is a throwing katana. Think Javelin or Hand Axe, but it's a katana. Same drawbacks and whatnot.EDIT: I hate you, Blue. :P
  18. To a point. Dark Blood has a lower maximum tome rank than Sorcerer does. If you reach S Tomes as Sorcerer and then reclass to Dark Blood, you'll be reduced to Dark Blood's cap (B Tomes) but would regain S on reclassing to Sorcerer again. So: the WExp stays, but you're still stuck with the cap of whichever class you're in.
  19. As I already said, the gap in stats is unlikely, not impossible - it can be caused by, for instance, extreme RNG one way or the other, stat boosters, or XP grinding (even Conquest can get XP from the appropriate DLC) - and that's still irrelevant. All you're doing is nitpicking the example, not actually countering the point he's making, and the means you're using to nitpick is already an incorrect assumption. And just for fun, Awakening uses the same rating system, and this sort of stat disparity is entirely possible there, especially with a water-tricked Robin. EDIT: Back to the point at hand... What does stat priority look like, anyway? For a combat unit, I'd imagine it'd be something like: Str/Mag to deal nonzero damage > Skl to be able to hit (this one's weird) > Str/Mag to 2HKO > HP+Def/Res to survive a hit > Spd to not get doubled > Str/Mag to OHKO > Spd to double > Def/Res to take 1 damage > further HP > further Skl > further Spd > further Str/Mag > further Def/Res. Skl is weird since I'm not sure how to weight hitting semi-reliably or 100%, Luck is weird since I'm not sure how to weight not getting crit.
  20. This will usually be true in practical gameplay, but is also a silly and overly pedantic argument to try to make, since it is not only possible, but its possibility or impossibility in practical gameplay is wholly irrelevant to the argument at hand. The overall point is that Speed is extremely valuable up to the point that you can double every enemy, and then not very valuable past that point.
  21. Corrinsexuals have three, to make up for their lack of variety in Marriage/Buddy possibilities.
  22. Flora has Maid/Mercenary/Dark Mage as I recall, so she gets nothing from A+ Felicia.
