  1. I'm starting to get there, but in fairness a decent number of my favorites were shoo-ins. Not counting the main lords/protagonists, characters like Nils, Joshua, Caeda, Finn, and Marianne were always getting in. Gregor had to wait a pretty long time, though, and I'm still waiting on Brom. Actually, I think Brom might be the last one I'm waiting on.
  2. I managed to get the final merges I needed to get Young Rebecca to +10 and Mark is now +2, I think that's good enough for now. Gonna start saving my orbs again for the next Tellius banner, hoping for Brom.
  3. I'm happy to finally see Mozu, and Yukimura is a nice bonus that I certainly didn't expect. I'm surprised to see Candace, and...kinda wish she wasn't here? I feel like it should be Shura there was the GHB, not Candace. But, with Mozu and Yukimura there, I guess I can't complain.
  4. This month's batch of New Heroes is from Fates. We're getting Attuned Azura, Mozu, Yukimura, Hayato, and a GHB with Candace.
  5. I'll also throw in Melady from Binding Blade, and Cormag from Sacred Stones. Melady is clearly inspired by Shadow Dragon's Minerva (who is also awesome), but I feel Melady is more overlooked. Her loyalty to Guinivere and her relationship with Galle both add some layers to her character, and I like her supports with both Yoder and Lugh a lot. She's yet another solid character in Binding Blade that feels like she isn't really given her dues. For Cormag, I love how they actually gave him a minor story role in Eirika's route. He remains minor and doesn't overshadow anything with the twins and Lyon, but it serves his character really well. The stuff with Valter is elevated, and his battle quotes against Valter are freaking great. His supports with Duessel and Tana and, well, pretty much everyone else are enhanced in Eirika's route, it feels like it adds an additional naunce to the conversations going on. I feel Cormag is very similar to Nino (another favorite), a minor character that was given a little mini-story within the game, and just like Nino I feel like Cormag's mini-story was handled very well. Nino is way, way, way more popular than him, though, lol. Eh, I don't think there's a lie in the second story. His sister died after the first story and right before the second. What happened before the first story is his dad up and left without a word, his mom got sick after birthing her ninth kid, and he was forced to go out and try to find ways to make a bunch of money to support the family and get medicine for his mother. Enter Shadow Dragon, recruitment by Caeda, gets money, gets some medicine, returns home only to find his sister sold herself to make some cash, goes to find her, finds her on the brink of death and can do nothing as she dies. Mystery of the Emblem and needing money again enters aftert hat. He's absolutely swindling some people and working off the goodwill of others, but in this case, I really can't blame the guy one little bit. I'll second this one, too! Fiora is awesome and one of my favorite characters in Blazing Blade. Such a great multi-faceted character.
  6. A couple other minor characters that are among my favorites are Gregor and Selphina. When I first played Awakening and recruited Gregor, I took a liking to him almost immediately. The way he spoke instantly made him stand out, and that made me want to dive into his supports. And when I did, I was happy with what I found. Gregor is a great, well-rounded character, and his "gimmick" isn't nearly as played out for laughs or pushed into your face or anything like some of the other character gimmicks in Awakening. He simply had good chemistry with pretty much everyone, gave both himself and some others some good backstory, and was a good and endearing dude. He's one of my favorite characters in Awakening. Sometimes I think he's my absolute favorite in Awakening. With Selphina, there isn't a whole lot to go off of simply because Thracia 776 was before the era of support and/or base conversations, and a lot of the cast only got a few lines of dialogue, if even that. But Selphina was lucky enough to get a little bit more. She has a history with Finn through Ethlyn, and her attitude towards him makes her stand out, whether or not the attitude is justified. She gets just enough in the game that I can get to know her character, enough that she leaves some sort of an impact. She's cool.
  7. Another minor character I really like that I want to highlight is Isadora. She's criminally overlooked among the other Blazing Blade characters. She's a really fantastic character with a multitude of surprisingly varied supports, they range across several different topics that are all personal to her and really define her character. She's one of the most developed characters, but it's understated and hidden because she's a minor character and by the time you get her, you'll probably already have Kent, Sain, or Lowen trained up. I also really like Castor. Almost all of his backstory is in material outside of the games, but actually knowing what his backstory is really made me appreciate the character a whole lot. Tragedy surrounds this man and it really makes you understand why he's doing what he's doing, and why his portraits always look so melancholy. He's a guy I root for to get what he needs for his family, darn it! Dorothy is another character I've really come to appreciate, for many of the same reasons as Brom and many of the reasons you listed. She's so ordinary, but it works, she has genuinely good supports and is unique in how un-unique she is.
  8. 712. Castor: Loving Son 713. Caeldori: Perfect Angel 714. Yuliya: Princess of Grust 715. Rhea: Loving Matriarch 716. Caeda: Marth's Faithful 717. Merric: Wind Pontifex 718. Peony: Cherished Dream 719. Edelgard: The Future 720. Claude: Golden Breeze 721. Camilla: Alluring Darkness 722. Mycen: Zofia's Champion 723. Ike: Of Radiance 724. Hana: Focused Samurai
  9. I'm thinking we'll get Lloyd this year to go along with Linus from last year, and Male Byleth to go with Female Byleth. The other characters I expect to be women, probably one of the remaining maidens from (New) Mystery (Nyna, Lena, or Elice), maybe Eyvel, and maybe Veyle or something.
  10. The New Heroes in May is undoubtedly this year's batch of Fallen characters. I'm more curious about April's NH banner, to be honest. I firmly believe that the NH banners for April, June, and July will be Tellius, Fates, and Three Houses/Hopes, I'm just not sure what order they'll be in.
  11. I see what you've done here, hahaha. Resident Brom guy here. Brom is my personal favorite character in the Tellius games, even over Elincia and Ike. He's just a simple family man with a friendly personality and an innocence about him. Everything about the man is just kind of wholesome? His supports with Zihark are a good showcase, where Zihark even tells Brom directly how big of a heart he has, and you can see it in both his casual conversation and encouragement of Nephenee. But his Base Conversation with Ike in Path of Radiance about the sack of rocks his fmaily gave him as a good luck charm is perhaps the best example of his character, it really showcases what makes Brom Brom. Aside from just being a generally pleasant fellow, I like his physical design a lot. It's something you really don't see very often in Fire Emblem, at least not in the characters you recruit. A 38-year-old (41 in RD), overwight, normal-brown-hair-color man is not the norm for FE. He looks plain, and it matches his personality. It's understated in how unique that is to FE. Brom is more or less an actual everyman, and it just makes him stand out to me in a series full of teenagers and young adults who are all super-powered in skills with the blade, and it makes him stand out against some of the older characters in the series you recruit because they're all by and large war veterans in the army or some big loud warrior of some kind. I don't think there was another Brom-type character prior to Brom, and I'm not sure any future character like this would stand out to me in the same way, because...Brom was first.
  12. Well, at least the Black Knight got some really good art. Mine is already at +10 so he'll appreciate the stats.

  14. True, Celica would be too honorable to ask for the dagger back to upgrade it to the Beloved Zofia blade, lol. Ladyblade works just as well!
  15. Oh, no, there's a large number of launch units without a Resplendent. Camilla, Tharja, Hawkeye, Maria, Catria, Laslow, Leo, Cherche, Lissa, Raigh...
