  1. In terms of difficulty of training Meg is probably in second tier. 1st Fiona Astrid Lyre 2nd Meg Heather (as an attacker) Kyza Ena (as an attacker)
  2. Had Meg switched with Leo or Edward she probably would've had a lot more use. Personally I just give her most of the kills on 1-4 on normal. After that she doesn't need much more babying than Leo/Eddie.
  3. Most of my enemy stats are found in Interceptor’s Hard Mode Enemy Stats on GameFAQs. http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage....;topic=44905604 First let’s begin with giving Meg a level up in bonus experience. Using bonus experience on hard mode is a negative, but with that level and Meg’s growths she will likely get the point in speed that she needs to avoid to get doubled and by extension ORKO by the level six tigers. Besides there isn’t that much competition for bonus experience other than getting units to 99 experience. This level up helps Meg and the player as she doesn’t have to hide from those tigers. So assuming she gets a point in her three highest stats (HP, Luck and Speed) her stats are. Meg lv 4 (Iron Sword): 22 HP, 16 Mt, 9 AS, 113 hit, 27 avo, 10 def, 5 res Meg needs one more point in strength in order to use a steel sword without losing AS. Let’s take a look at the enemy stats in 1-4. Tiger lvl 6 HP 41, Mt 26, AS 12, Hit 125, Avo 31, DEF 10, RES 2, Crit 7, Ddg 2 Tiger lvl 5 HP 40, Mt 24, AS 10, Hit 125, Avo 27, DEF 10, RES 2, Crit 7, Ddg 2 Tiger lvl 4 HP 39, Mt 24, AS 10, Hit 120, Avo 26, DEF 10, RES 2, Crit 6, Ddg 1 Cat lvl 5 HP 34, Mt 18, AS 14, Hit 128, Avo 34, DEF 8, RES 4, Crit 8, Ddg 1 Cat lvl 6 HP 35, Mt 18, AS 14, Hit 128, Avo 34, DEF 8, RES 6, Crit 8, Ddg 1 Meg faces up to 95% true hit provided she doesn’t get completely screwed by biorhythm. This might make Meg look terrible considering she’s only doing single digit damage and get two RKO, however everyone in the DB is looking bad in this level. Sothe is the only unit that can ORKO enemies while holding the beast killer. Sothe is your best tank even though enemies have display hits in the 50s it would take three level six tigers to kill him anyways. Nolan gets two rounded by level six tigers and may get two rounded by cats if he’s holding a steel axe. Edward also gets two rounded by everything, but he may barely survive against cats if the RNG likes him. Aran also gets two rounded by level six tigers and maybe level five if he’s unlucky. Cats three round him until he gets a point in speed. In the damage department Sothe kills everything in sight, Edward does one more damage than Meg (4 if he’s using the steel sword), he can also double the level 5 tigers, Aran is only doing 2-3 more damage, Nolan does about 5 more damage, Leonardo also does the same as Meg, but he can also use the steel bow without worrying of being attacked and doubled, and Micaiah and Ilyana are doing massive damage because they are attacking the weaker defence of laguz. Even though Meg is the worst unit on the field she’s pretty comparable despite being about four levels (after bexp) behind the second lowest levelled character. Also consider the structure of the DB; most of the main units are unable to one round enemies which is where Meg comes in either dealing initial damage or finishing off the enemy. On hard mode a half shifted Volug is having a hard time one rounding enemies and really only Muarim, Nailah and Black Knight are the ones that are one rounding by endgame. As for supports Meg can’t really go wrong with anything the DB has to offer, however heaven affinity isn’t really a wanted support unless it’s for endgame. A Meg/Leonardo combo would work as Leo can damage opponents and Meg can finish them off and vice versa. Now let’s take a look at endgame. Meg lv 18 (Steel Sword, Leonardo A): 30 HP, 26 Mt, 18 AS, 157 hit, 55 avo, 17 def, 12 res By endgame Meg’s heaven support basically gives her and her support 100 or near 100 display hit. Meg has also had the ability to one round mages since around 1-7 and given her resistance compare to the rest of the team she is usually one of the first in line at getting the right to kill the mage. Again because this is hard mode the DB even with them breaking second tier loses its ability to one round reliably whether it’s from enemies getting faster or enemies getting more HP and defence. Meg while hits often because lack of avoid support bonuses and Jarod’s authority stars is able to do enough damage for other characters to finish off the enemies. Because Meg is the lowest levelled character in the DB it seems fair to give her a master seal because a) it helps her catch up and B) promotion bonuses helps her a lot. By 3-6 Meg has almost caught up in levels with the rest of the group. Meg lv 20/1 (Steel Blade, Leonardo A): 33 HP, 33 Mt, 20 AS, 143 hit, 61 avo, 20 def, 14 res Cat lvl 14 HP 41, Atk 22, AS 20, Hit 136, Avo 46, DEF 12, RES 10, Crit 10, Ddg 6 Cat lvl 15 HP 42, Atk 27, AS 20, Hit 137, Avo 47, DEF 14, RES 10, Crit 10, Ddg 7 Cat lvl 16 HP 43, Atk 29, AS 22, Hit 141, Avo 51, DEF 14, RES 10, Crit 11, Ddg 7 Cat lvl 17 HP 43, Atk 31, AS 22, Hit 142, Avo 52, DEF 16, RES 10, Crit 11, Ddg 8 Tiger lvl 14 HP 48, Atk 32, AS 16, Hit 132, Avo 38, DEF 18, RES 4, Crit 9, Ddg 6 Tiger lvl 15 HP 48, Atk 39, AS 16, Hit 136, Avo 38, DEF 18, RES 6, Crit 10, Ddg 6 Tiger lvl 16 HP 50-52, Atk 39, AS 16, Hit 137, Avo 39, DEF 20, RES 6, Crit 11, Ddg 7 Tiger lvl 17 HP 51-52, Atk 41, AS 18, Hit 141, Avo 43, DEF 20, RES 6, Crit 11, Ddg 7 With the steel blade and her heaven affinity offsetting its terrible accuracy Meg can now two round tigers. The bad news is that those tigers can also two round Meg, but those tigers are two rounding pretty much everyone not named Volug. Again like all other DB chapters everyone needs to work together and Meg can finish off or weaken an enemy. Meg continues to serve the same function through the rest of the DB chapters and where’s Gareth through all this? Oh yeah doing nothing until the final two chapters of the game. Let’s take a look at those final two chapters. Enemy stats are from Prognosis4’s enemy stats. Meg lv 20/20/10 (Alondite, Leonardo A): 54 HP, 51 Mt, 30 AS, 193 hit, 90 avo, 38 def, 32 res Gareth lv 31 (S strike): 82 HP, 62 Mt, 14 AS, 150 hit, 48 avo, 42 def, 18 res Thunder spirit lv 20 Hp 38, Mt 36, Hit 165, As 28, Def 23, Res 30, Avo 101 Wind spirit lv 20 Hp 38, Mt 39, Hit 176, As 30, Def 23, Res 32, Avo 105 Fire spirit lv 20 Hp 40, Mt 36, Hit 171, As 30, Def 25, Res 30, Avo 95 Sephiran lv 20 (creiddylad) Hp 50, Mt 51, Hit 220, As 36, Def 35, Res 40, Avo 119 Aura lv 20 Hp 90, AS 35, Def 30, Res 30, Avo 135 Ashera lv 20 Hp 120, Mt 55, Hit 245, As 32, Def 35, Res 40, Avo 144 Let’s take a look at attacking first. Gareth can OHKO thunder and wind spirits which would be great if he didn’t have about 50% display hit rate. I mean it’s great that you can do so much damage, but when you’re missing about half the time and the times you do miss you lose almost 50% of your health that’s not something to be proud of. Meg two rounds by herself and one rounds with help from Nasir. The spirits barely do any damage to her plus her hit rate against them is about 90% display hit. Gareth’s main attraction is his blood tide skill, but how much does it really help? On endgame 4 spirits are everywhere and on the first turn Gareth can only set up against two spirits max and throughout the rest of the chapter he’s only helping a few characters at a time. The same can be said about endgame 5. Most characters are overpowered and would rather want Nasir’s speed boost than Gareth’s strength and hit boost. First the only people who are doubling auras are trueblades, whispers, Volke and units using white pool Nasir. While everyone wants to be beside Nasir he's only one person and can't be everywhere at once. Also Ena having the same ability does not make Gareth any better as she gets credit for her blood tide while Gareth gets credit for his. Gareth will miss about half the time and when he does miss the spirit will generally attack him again because of his terrible speed. Meg's heaven affinity functions the same as Gareth's skill boost except trading for being useful on only two units for a lot more hit. Also Meg is the Pink Power Ranger.
  4. With work and school I probably won't post my argument until Thursday night. Just so you know that I exist.
  5. It does seem that Gareth vs. Meg has been deleated. That sucks, I think someone has something against you prog.
  6. Yup Ena is level 25 and has S strike during 3-E, I'm not too sure about base stats though. Kurth and Ena would have been so much better if they had S strike during endgame.
  7. Make sure Aran has at least 13 speed (IIRC) by part 3 or else he's going to get doubled by tigers, though there are some with 18 speed as well.
  8. If the mages had a higher strength cap I don't think Tormod would have mind if he was forced to use knives. Especially for a mage playthrough where you have more than enough staff users.
  9. When ever I use Heather I tend to battlesave abuse so she can grow in strength, same with Mist if I want to use her as an attacking unit. The problem with Heather is unlike in FE9 there aren't as many chests/items to steal. Many people chosed to use Volke (or Sothe) because many chapters had chests and since he's on the field for so often you might as well use him. For Heather there are no chests except for 4-4 and if you've been saving you chest keys you'd have enough, while there are great opportunities for Heather to steal from enemy units there aren't many chapters that need her and for the chapters that you do you can bring her at base level steal what you wanted and have her hide for the rest of the chapter.
  10. Another laguz chapter for the DB, I'm guessing right after 3-7 where the DB has to escape from the laguz army that's on the middle of a field while the escape pad is on the opposite side. The DB needs the chapter if it wants to be comparable with the GM in terms of levels.
  11. It's only really useful on flying units to avoid getting killed by bows/crossbows. Mages aren't numerous enough to have a need for a 20 point skill for laguz, Haar and Jill and there aren't many specialty weapons such as horseslayers and hammers to give it to anyone else.
  12. Well unless you haven't trained Ike by 3-7 he's probably capped skill and maybe strength and you can always reset if you don't get the desire bexp level up.
  13. Is this your second PT because you get nothing on your first PT.
  14. For Ilyana I give her the gems, arms scroll, seraph robes and sometimes an energy drop. The energy drop is usually for Ulki while I sell everything and buy enough weapons for half price to last me through part 3. Brom/Nephenee/Heather/Haar bring the talisman to sell, a hammer, and the brave lance being the notable things.
