  1. Can confirm it still exists in the Display Name history on a user's profile. There's an arrow beside the name there and that shows it.
  2. Makes sense. That does have a CG for it in the credits, I tend to forget about those. There's also one for Roy and Zephiel, but I wonder how close they'd come to that in game. Okay, this is an acceptable answer. That too, would they have it after the map?
  3. I don't think it has actually. I'm going to go over Genealogy through to BlaB, three examples each. Sigurd meeting Deirdre is such an obvious cutscene, no matter how Genealogy handles itself it should be able to be fit into the game even mid-map. Eldigan's return to Syvale or death in Chapter 3 also makes sense, while I'll also mention Ishtar's arrival in Chapter 8 as a possible one. From Thracia, I'd have to bring up Chapter 5. You know what event. I'd also probably bring up Chapter 13, for a wide view of Tarrah (As it's spelt now? And I thought Leonster was the most egregious changing of the names from just Irish province. When this start happening?) Also probably the end of Chapter 20, considering what happens there. For BinB, the fall of Hector I think could be an easy pick, because if you're going to make it matter show him in some form going down fighting. Probably the first reveal of a Fire Dragon would also make sense, while as for lategame Zephiel after you open the door in 22 seems about right. BlaB has a couple of CGs that would likely get expanded into cutscenes, like at the end of Cog of Destiny but imo there are others to consider: There's at the end of the trials for Durandel/Armads, I'd argue Lyn finding Hausen alive when they take back Caelin in Chapter 16/17 and I'll also mention the reveal of the Black Fang Morphs. Not that these all would or necessarily should be used, but I wanted to avoid ones with CGs already. (Also, TIL there's prototype CGs for BlaB and while the difference is likely due to the backlightless screen of the GBA and wanting to make it easier to see they look better, no question.) Edit: let's add SS. Not Monica, the unknown is kinda the point of that scene. I'll mention the end of Chapter 15 with Eirika and Ephriam meeting again, the first time they face monsters in Chapter 4 and the reveal of Morva in Chapter 20. As for one for the route split, Vigarde at the end of 14 maybe on Ephraim's? There's a CG for Ismaire already at the end of 14 so that can't be counted for mine, but I can't think of a better answer on Eirika's route.
  4. GBA FFIV is cool like that for endgame, though you have to go back to switch him in after Babil. I've heard the PSP version is more solid in challenge and also has that content and the ability to cycle party members, so maybe that should be the consideration for emulation?
  5. For a non FFXV pick, I'm going to bring up Vivi. To be vague, there's the arc he goes through, how he fits in the world of FFIX, his being a good little black mage with solid offence and interplay with another party member and look at him:
  6. Teehee seeing dead people. This isn't endgame and certainly not BR, stop that. Keaton would consider it a point of pride. Though I think asking if it's getting out of hand would be understandable. I think they're turn based, or after you cross a certain point. Either way, least you never had to see them. They really don't help when trying to clear this map. Oh jeez that's a bad sign. And then it kept happening. Considering I never do well on this map, I think I'd have been dead several times over. She can certainly use those in another class. That being said, her options could be better: Strategist makes no sense for her, I don't know if you want a Maid to begin with and Hero.... could be fine but I don't know if you want that for your final class or even to get Axebreaker. Does Beruka have D Lances for the next map? Least all's well that ends well.
  7. Thracia Ballista were imported into Elyos, that explains this paralogue.

    1. Punished Dayni

      Punished Dayni

The only way to outcheese Thracia: Fates Cheese.

(Specifically Qi Adept's Ice Wall to block Leif from pretty much anyone at risk of getting Quad hit while I cleared the NE part of the map with three units, which was everyone not named Goldmary or Diamant I guess)

  8. So, what did we get? TL:DR: Almost got excited there on an anime, POKEMON SLEEP IS HAPPENING and the SV update was pretty much like Sh/Sw's similar reveal, but admittedly I think there's more detail in this one. But yeah, no hint as Gen 1 on NSO? Wow, that just puts the first video in a worse light imo. I'm off to get my ass kicked by Leif's paralogue.
  9. Well, it's that time again. Just an hour off from this topic. Some people seem pretty convinced we'll be getting NSO/ports like the 3DS for the first gen, but we'll see if it takes that much of the time and if it'll even be that. Edit: No link to a countdown or a livestream in advance? Will it just be dropped on the channel than?
  10. Crossbow? What's the full list of weapons that don't disappear after breaking? I have no idea with this game. Wait, I swore she was dead. What fun, right? So she tried, only to be blown back by her own bow. Did the string just rip her arm to shreds? This is why you wear a bracer, Leonie knows this What did the prisoners do to deserve his wrath? On the one hand, Garm break on Green. On the other hand, about half a dozen gift-wrapped captures for some reason. Looks pretty good here. Get his sword rank to max. Dew it.
  11. From what I recall, there was a leak from the internal data that revealed the DLC emblems' identities, which has been argued as why the reveal for both waves were made during the direct 2 weeks ago. For all we know that might have always been the plan, but I know less than they did. But that aside, Maddening being out at launch unlike with 3H does make me suspect that there's not going to be much in the way of delays due to work on post-launch content.
  12. Say'ri's dead eyes can see you have managed to avoid one bunch of foes, but she can't see her brother coming That's looking heated- The Vaike just got fired. Sorry to see him go. Rinkah of course is Rinkah, but Charlotte is a shame indeed. ..... Losing Atlas sucks less than anticipated, mainly because there's three other DFs and while he was the strongest Kamui was several clicks faster. Thankfully that crisis was averted but the Demon's Ingle was looking for blood sacrifices for sure. Considering it's supposedly tied to Duma, I think he's mad at me for only losing Catria thus far Definitely too soon.
  13. It's been 5 years and this quote still applies: I'll add this fanart though
  14. I remember one of my playthroughs I had as much paired as I could and Virion and Libra were the only guys who weren't paired. That's kind of the thing, any of these guy's success is based on how the player interacts with the game (Sain can have paired endings that don't leave him alone, Forde has similar behaviour and similar fates), if there re chances for them (Another more suitably divisive case would be Saul from BinB imo, considering how he uses his position to do so) Ike doesn't seem to have much of a class-based disgust at the Senate in PoR, of course tends to hold positive relations with Elincia and at least works with royals like Caineghis and Sanaki.
  15. RIP Adel, accidentally spoiling me that this was his time. Spoilers: More the former, but the self-sabotage won't help. Aethin 👏 did 👏 nothing 👏 wrong Well that's an error. Not necessarily surprising that few are going testing this stuff? But would be good to have that be correct. Breaking an axe in a man's skull, certainly forceful way to get the job done? He's popping off offensively apparently, which is good considering he has Pursuit. So least you have him for however long that's allowed in your plans? With no crossbows, the bow boys have to show up somehow. Estebuff And apparently he won't? That'll be something to see I suppose. So, you get to keep the ballastician? Good to go for the rest of the game at that? Great success! Teresa is certainly a reliable employee to run both places.
  16. I feel like Micaiah's character might have been in the past as well (), but I wouldn't have been there in RD's heyday. I've seen a fair few dislike RD!Ike's prominence in said game but don't know for sure if that's sufficient to be counted here. I'd also second the other avatars as well, moreso Corrin and Byleth considering their popularity in the fandom while others take issue with them (It's me, I'm one of those)
  17. Doesn't feel like that happens often. doubles for 0-low damage Setsun O'Clock Wait is your Orochi fast? Missing Res though. She really is going to be the fastest Orochi there ever was.
  18. The useful Divine Retribution? Not even then. *Sigh Did the Rainbow Sage make SS Phantoms all along?
  19. Jesse was over 50% though, admittedly with Saber support. Maybe Azama doubled the berserker or even 1-shot the guy on counterattack and that got factored in? I'd doubt it, but maybe? Maybe the hit rates were that bad? They're certainly something alright.
  20. I feel like I got that across, especially with Duma Gate. Hard disagree on Valber, his high defence and range (I reclassed him to Archer before he died) would have been useful here. The fliers always kinda feel a bit underpowered for me, but they certainly have utility. The DFs were effectively essential here but they were still all getting doubled by other DFs in the tower (Or I could fuck up hard like I did on the fourth floor and nearly lose Kamui), the two mages I have left in Sonya and Mae were still plenty useful and Conrad (slower than the mercs, weaker than all but Jesse of them, solid defensive stats but Apotrope is a good boon for them) and Est (slow enough to be at risk from more foes and not strong enough to 1-shot all terrors) existed I suppose. Takes another two gold coins to max it out like I did. That is why I planned it as an item to make on that side and pass over using the peddlers. Even ignoring combat arts it has enough going for it on Alm's side of the divide and 6 might will be fine on stuff like witches or gargoyles. Sure, Brave Sword is higher crit. As I have expressed throughout this part, that doesn't mean guaranteed crit, Jesse. Well, they also didn't program them to not block the stairs in skirmishes, so I feel like either or fits. I have personal experience of that pain. And Rev's has a few promoted enemies, but is somehow the most straightforward map of the bunch barring making sure you recruit Shura and Nex. This chapter is less a test of the characters and more a test of your observation skills. Not even an upset from the 52 Atk Berserkers?
  21. I want to go into my perspective on this. It's obviously intentional when you could reorder characters in some form in prior titles, that the forced order and minimum deployment numbers are a planned part of Thracia's design. However, as someone who immiserated himself trying to get a good first turn with Chapter 19 over 6 months in the pre-good patch days, I find this map in particular to be a case of going too far. Trying to get units down while also dealing with all the small side-objectives going on was a bit much personally. I get this from a game design standpoint, but having the option to move characters was a genuinely positive addition to Thracia imo. You can bring up how this would encourage low deployment or just leaving scrubs at the bottom and Leif retreat, but having a compromise akin to MotE where you only get certain deployment slots depending on how many units you have, that each position is fixed based on who you deploy where as is already the case in this game, would I think at least try to prevent going for low-manning or cause players to account for the consequences of same in these cases. In a game which already has a fair amount obscured by design, it makes sense. Doesn't mean those playing the game will all agree with it. There's QoL that may add clarity, but that information being obscured from the player was part of the design, even if for many they'd find that to be a decision that harms there experience. Giving the option to move deployment does, though then again I personally do find removing that choice from the player to be an aggravation in and of itself. (For a narrative reason, why wouldn't the units who are in the southern half of C19 have been determined with Leif's involvement?) That choice does impact how I might play a chapter, so taking it away is restrictive imo.
  22. And officially I'm writing long enough replies that I don't want to risk the wrath of the mods like in the Berwick LP. D'Oh I missed:
  23. Alright, let's climb Duma tower and end this sordid arc. Now, the thing about the tower is that you have mandatory fights at the stairs, four of them to be precise. There's also a bunch of fountains you want to hit up for the stat boosters, but in the way of all this are fights I'd rather face as few of as possible. I sadly have to bring Celica so I choose to leave Leon behind (he'll only add 10 damage to Mogalls and with this party I suspect I'll be playing more directly anyways with so few ranged options to begin with that he'd be kinda on his own and his max 9 Spd with his options (No Killer Bow for one) could be an issue with doubling arcanists higher up anyways. So how did this go? TL:DR couple of close shaves, but Celica Act 4 is done. Alm's side now has a Rapier with 18 Mt on the right foes and a maxed out Killer Bow. This shall be very helpful.
