  1. I think it took me at least a year, but probably longer to finally +10 this one. It will be nice spending less time pulling interchangeable healers and gen 1 healers
  2. I could have worded it better, but my main complaint is not that the units are bad, but that they are very boring. Forrest and Lena’s kits are both mostly day 1 stuff. Day 1 staff, assist and special. They bring ploys, but those aren’t very new and exiting either. Fortress res is also old and not something you easily slap on someone. There are other staves to create or to reuse. Such as Maribelle’s. These staves and assists are already available everywhere. Its all very meh when compared to someone like Mustafa. If I don’t want to use him, then he has the ever useful bonfire, a new axe and def tactics. I think he and other non healers just add much more when they demote.
  3. Well this Banner is kinda lackluster. the good Julian. I think Rickard is more funny, but the OG thief is a good edition that should have been in a long time ago. The bad Oh Lena, what did they do to you? First Forrest, then Em and now this. Why do they insist on making healers as boring as possible. Its like they only remember their boring day 1 staves. Her other skills are just as lame. I’m not a fan of Kris either, but I find the Lena situation just a bit more tragic.
  4. Ingrid: She sure looks loaded, but i'm not too interested in another blue lance flier. Ingrid herself is ok, but not someone i'm going to pull on. Dorothea: Now here is someone I will pull on. Her skills looked unimpressive enough for me to briefly consider her the 4 star, but I like Dorothea. So most orbs on colourless. Sylvain: The actual 4 star of this banner. I like Sylvain, but he's not high priority. I might go for a green if I see it. Byleth/and Rhea: Nice to see Rhea join her even with less hips. Shame she's not in the lead, but I like her as a duo hero. Seeing her on vacation could be pretty interesting to see. Lorentz: I did not expect to see Lorenze, but it actually makes sense to put him on the banner. I'm getting some Raigh vibes from his stats though.
  5. A busy week left me with a bit less time to work on this clear. Abyssal is probably gonna be a skip this time, but I do have a delayed infernal run. I must say I had a harder time then usual. Teleporting mages are the worst. @Diovani Bressan: Nice clears. I thought Nowi doubled almost everything because Marth was playing speed chearleader, but it was less that and her just being absurdly fast. Did't expect to see that base speed on her. I always thought she was a bit slow. The infernal version in particular stood no chance. @Landmaster: Is that Pokemon music? OG Elise seemed to be the superstar of this run. The palm staff works pretty nicely with all the speed you already gave her. @SatsumaFSoysoy: Brave to kill of Seliph on Player phase. That was a lot of damage Kagero shrugged off with her personal. Celica was also good at shredding through everything. even blue units. @Maaka: Good to see that even pity breakers can be put to good use. Ouch at seeing that +5 though. ------ As for my own clear. I had some difficulties with all those teleporting mages. They're pretty fast and both hit hard. Especially that green gronblade one. So it was time for me to dust of Julius to laugh at them ( @DLNarshen for that one). I still barely pull any Gordins, but that gave me enough recources for another colourless project that is almost done.
  6. I'd say give some characters the echoes treatment. Merlinus and Elphin are the main advisers of the game and I don't see that changing, but that doesn't mean they should continue being the only people that get screentime. Right now Binding blade's plot is very focused on the basics and getting Roy from point A to point B. Having characters like Wolt or Lilina fill a role similar to Gray/Tobin or Boey/Mae could give the story a bit more charm. Roy's character might also benefit from not being chained to Merlinus all the time. Gameplay-wise everything is more or less fine. Maybe add some modern stuff to it. I'd keep most of it the same other then maybe tweaking some of the more extreme bad cases like Gwendolyn.
  7. Sephiroth is the first character that springs to mind. He's a iconic gaming villain from one of the most highly regarded games of all time. Yet in all the non ff7 stuff he came across as pretty boring. My not having played the original ff7 probably doesn't help me get Sephiroth, but he did't correct my low expectations in the remake. I was pleasantly surprised by all the characters I had little interest before. Cloud, Tifa, Aerith. Even Shinra and the Turks turned out to be enjoyable. Only Sephiroth remains as someone I f find a complete bore. I don't know if Xenoblade's chronicles 2 Jin is very popular or not, but i'm going to name him anyway. No Xenoblade 2 I don't find this mass murderer a 'splendid soul'.
  8. I would't go so far to say I disliked Xenoblade Chronicles X, but I did drop it out of annoyance. Its probably the highest rank game that I did't like all that much. The game making changing characters both annoying and counterproductive was something that kept bugging me and the game as a whole was kinda bad at explaining itself. Loads of tutorials, but I always felt behind.
  9. I did't expect much for this BHB and it matched those expectations completely. The Fates princes minus Kiragi did't have a hard time. I also don't bring Soleil out enough so she could help out. @SatsumaFSoysoy: Good thing that healer was around. I started to feel a bit bad for this map after seeing all those 0's @Maaka: Mustafa's forging bond rewards seem to be getting put to good use. Also good to see Bartre wasn't one point stronger. That might have messed up the galeforcing @Diovani Bressan: The two video's show pretty good how helpful Bride Micaiah is to Saizo. He can just go into murder mode immediately without having to set things up. Both clears where cool. @Landmaster
  10. This is a weird, but pretty decent banner. I'm a bit low on orbs so i'm probably going to skip aside from a few Lute pulls. Lute and Joshua are pretty well liked and I can see them working well for a beach banner. Good art too. Selena is a bit odd, but sure. I suppose she still wasn't in the game and it'd be a while before another Magvel banner comes along The new Duo hero is weird. I think its interesting how this opens the door to some character interactions from different games. Mia/'Marth' would't be my first choice, but I'm looking a forward to see where theý will take this concept. THem deciding to go with 'marth' rather then Lucina is a bit odd though. You'd think it would be harder to stay in disguise in that swimsuit. As for Rhys. he sounds about right for a tempest trial unit. A good character, but one that probably would't set the world on fire. I'm just hoping he brings some non launch skills with him. The base game staves/heals are starting to annoy me.
  11. Gordin has been my surprise MVP in a lot of clears. His renowned boy packs a lot of punch.. And nope no pity breakers i'm actively trying to get one whenever he appears....the last tactic banner wasn't kind to me. Siegbert's refine is not nearly as exiting as Blazing Durandal, but few weapons are. While its not very flashy I did think it helped out Siegbert a lot. With all the speed creep going around Sieg's ability to double hadn't been as consistent as I would have liked. Now he can go back to tramping all over stuff. I was also a bit confused about why that flier moved towards Gordin. I think he prioritised him because Gordin would never be able toc ounter? Same thing with the Cleric. I thought it'd be able to kill Gordin, but it went for Sieg instead. Ai is odd at times. Bullying mages by trapping them to the wall is always fun. Sieg's been doing pretty well as a galeforcer. I've seen other builds recomended over that, but it feels weird not having galeforce on him.
  12. All those debuffs and tries made for a tricky map to move around in. Still my new team managed to do things pretty easily when I got it all figured out. Mustafa and Brunya are helping Little Caeda with this map. Narcian meanwhile has never been more Narcian. @Diovani Bressan: You really did't have any trouble with this map. Mini Marth and Saizo cleaned house. Even Gangrel got one rounded immediately. @Maaka: That mustache looks really great on Fir. Also nice use of the Batre galeforce squad again @Landmaster: Interesting to see a dancer without dance. A good introduction to your new avatar since she held the line pretty well. After that the Elise's could get out of the corner and kill stuff again. @SatsumaFSoysoy @DLNarshen For my 'use' of Narshen
  13. Wow. Sophia is quite the punching bag. Even without cc she could stand there and soak up everyone's attacks. I can easily see why buckets where more handy then duckies in this map, but i'm surprised to see the green egg being brought along. Meanwhile I finished my Abyssal round too with some of my go to units. @Diovani Bressan @SatsumaFSoysoy @Maaka
  14. This map brings some challenges with it. Isolation kind of hits home just how reliable repositional skills usually are. Sabotage skills messing with your entire team is also a big pain to deal with. But Infernal is done at least. After my mom based team failed I decided to let a dad handle it. I don't often bring armour units along, but Brave Hector was a good fit for the top half of the map. With Roy/Wolt/Lilina handling what was left over. Not my flashiest clear, but it gets the job done. @Diovani Bressan: Nice clear. Little Marth really went to town on everyone up north. One shotting almost everyone with some help from micaiah/Nage. Also bonus points for using Octopath music. @SatsumaFSoysoy: Thats one loaded Celica. Perhaps her prf needs a bit of a upgrade if a slaying edge allows her to do her job even better. @Landmaster
  15. @Zeo Thanks for the big praise. It was certainly a challenge to get the team through, but the Sharena team has had enough experience under their belt to adapt to Edelgard and her solo battlestyle...My matthew still could use some work though. Also nice clears on your end. Especially the team Ostia one. One shotting solo Edelgard is no mean feat even with Hector's bag of tricks. Its also not every day you see a +10 Serra one rounding multiple guys. I can also see you got a soft spot for Ross. Those are some pretty high investment skills on him.
  16. Some characters such as Edward/Leonardo and Laura/Aran are the natural options for supports and they should give them. But i'd also like to see some less natural partners. Titania for example doesn't have a single support out of the greil mercenaries in Fe9. She used to be in the Crimean army so perhaps Geoffrey or Kieran are a good options. She might also want to chat up with tauroneo. I'd give Sanaki a support with Nolan or Leonardo. She kind of messed up with Dain and I can see that being a interesting support conversation with some of the more serious Dawn brigade members. I can also see Tanith spending all her support time trying to hunt micaiah down for trying to set her apostle on fire. As for others Soren/Pelleas Mia/Edward Haar/Sigrun
  17. Siegbert's refine is a bit boring, but it does a good job. He can use the stat boost now that everyone get thougher. She has atk/res solo too. I had a goth idol that I had no use for and Mae's attack is big enough to make good use of it.
  18. Seeing Fallen Corrin always brings a frown on my face. Whenever she's in in TT or in other game modes' someone in my team is going down to that big ball of stats. So I decided to make things easy on myself with the best dragon slayer. I completely forgot that at one point I was trying to go for a tanky Tana build. Perhaps I should get back to that one day. For now she did a good job helping out Marth and my +10 projects. @Diovani Bressan: Thats one though baby Merric. I doubt his older self could have solo'd the map as easily as he did. Also first time seeing Xander in a while. He did a good job too. @Maaka: Even with Brash assault, its still amusing to see Bartre of all people quadding Fallen Corrin. @Landmaster @SatsumaFSoysoy @DLNarshen
  19. Well this was kind of sad. You'd think a final boss would have a more difficult GHB. I mean even Iago had some thought put into it. It worked well to give Sieg's refine a small test run. @Diovani Bressan: Your Saizo is still pretty scary. Taking 0 damage from everything he can't vantage one shot. @Maaka: Interesting use of the movement after battle skills. It made for a good combo with WOM......also those glasses go great with Bartre's dad look @Landmaster: Yeah this really wasn't a very interesting GHB. Ashnard did a lot of damage to Nowi, but that was pretty much the only thing that posed even the slightest thread to team Elise.
  20. @Unknown Gamer11: Nice use of the redheads. They put in a lot of good work even if the stars where the two shiny new units. And cool a +10 lugh. That probably cost a lot of orbs. i'm might do a team with the twins, Chad and Lucius for a clear one day. Gordin is always a lot of fun to use and he has been my +10 project for a while now. I also haven't seen another Gordin in half a year now so progress is going very slow. Here's hoping your luck is better. @Maaka Thanks and I don't see NYLethe much either. Probably because she is a rare seasonal because she is absolutely busted. Perhaps Seliph still has the pitybreaker stigma, but his miracle weapon is pretty great. @DLNarshen: Thanks. Recipricol aid was the last piece of the puzzle I had to figure out. It worked out pretty nicely since Titania had little else to do with all the blue's gone. @SatsumaFSoysoy: Thanks and yeah I do like to go for more slow defensive aprouch. Most of my units don't have the power to easily cut through the powercreeped Abyssal enemies. So letting them come to me usually works a lot better.
  21. I think the idea was pretty good. Having this very unimportant and weak character in fe9 suddenly turning out to be important was a fun surprise. It also did't come completely out of nowhere with Sothe already having mentioned looking for someone. However I don't like Sothe more in fe10. I like him less and thats mostly because I don't find him interesting around micaiah. He's micaiah guard dog and other then a brief run-in with Tormod here and a reunion with Astrid there he doesn't really get the chance to be more then that. Actual supports would probably have helped out there.
  22. I'm feeling a bit like a spammer, but it seems Abyssal was possible as well. Newcomer NY Lethe joins Seliph, Gordin and Titania. @Landmaster @SatsumaFSoysoy @Diovani Bressan @DLNarshen @Zeo @Maaka
  23. @Diovani Bressan Ow thats a neat mini Marth and also a pretty cool big Marth. I don't see him around too much, but thats a nice support kit he has. For a gen 1 unit Nowi also has seemed to help up pretty well. And thanks. It took some puzzling, but they eventually got it. @Maaka: Even without the father daughter team up those are still very fun one turns to see. Not often that Bartre is rocking the galeforce set. @DLNarshen: Raigh subverting expectations is probably why I like using him. Putting the most disliked unit in the game to good use was part of the appeal of the team. Back then Matthew was no better. Also cool new team. Seliph was actually my first +10 so its always nice to see him. What really surprised me was Julia though. I always thought she was a bit slow, but she reaches impressive speeds. @SatsumaFSoysoy Ow wow. Legendary Celica really can blow up everything with (non prf) Brave Celica doing pretty well too. Thanks and yeah Sharena isn't seen that much. Much like most of the trio actually. And I can see why you'd think Wrys is a 4 star with those stats, but he's actually a 5 star as well. @Landmaster: I was wondering how the Elise squad would do against all those annoying Manakets and their lightning breaths/adaptive damage, but Nowi did a good job shielding them from those jerks. And yeah the Sharena group isn't the best at dealing damage so they have to take some blows on enemy phase to get the ball rolling. Wrys is there to help although his staff is kinda showing its age too. I think i'll give this Abyssal a pass. Most of my go to's are having a bit of a hard time. I did however have some time to give Mini Marth a bit of a test run.
  24. You'd think Edelgard of all people would tone down the dragons. But anyway its my 100th clear. I briefly thought i'd let my first theme team do this Abyssal style, but it did't take long for me to reconsider. Sharena and Friends have a bit of problems keeping up with all this powercreep. They still managed to beat Inferanl though. Sharena and Raigh are the main damage dealers, Wrys supports and while this team isn't the best for Matthew, he managed to put in good work too. Ledelgard's Ai behaved a bit oddly so I had to do a extra little dance at the end to avoid her. @Landmaster @SatsumaFSoysoy @Diovani Bressan @DLNarshen @Zeo @Maaka
  25. Its odd not seeing Shiro on the list of refine units. I always thought he'd get his refine at the same time as Siegbert, considering they seem designed to contrast with each other gameplay-wise. But Siegbert getting one a refine is great. His weapon started to fall behind and its good to see him on a banner. Narcian might get that rune...axe that he should have gotten on day. Also is it me or Gwendolyn the first armour unit that got a refine? I don't remember anyone else
