  1. This is the case with most Warriors games, friend.
  2. Ooh, I might check out the Eleum Loyce. Been on a curved sword kick recently. Damn, so sorcerers are getting force too? Man, why does From hate us clerics? And that Bone Fist tho!
  3. Woah, wait, Virion's accent is supposed to be French?*listens to a few voice clips* ...Damn. I can kind of hear how he was sort of supposed to sound French. But damn.
  4. We should have accused more witches. They can warp themselves across the map, for heaven's sake!
  5. Panne: "It seems Taguel are not the only strong ones. Shall we fight together more?" To Yarne!Morgan, who is in their Taguel class.
  6. X-COM: Enemy Unknown did this. It may work better in a game like X-COM, where stat growths are fixed (barring a specific gamemode), but one of the two Tellius games had a fixed growths mode, right? It could be like that.
  7. Ooh, that's cool. It's like issuing a challenge in Parthfinder.Defensive Stance: when activated, the unit's attack drops by 25%, but that 25% is added to avoid during the enemy phase. Stats reset to normal at the start of the following player phase.
  8. This is my first attempt at optimizing a team. It's for ORAS, and I've basically decided these are the mons I want to use (I don't really care about being that competitive online, I just want my favorite Pokémon to be the best they can be). However, any suggestions on items/abilities/moves/natures would be greatly appreciated. I probably set this up pretty poorly, because it's my first time optimizing a team. I've really only taken slight note of some of the stuff in this thread.
  9. >Hero Ross >Not critzfordaystm Berzerker Ross >ISHYGDDT I still vote Gerik for ranger.
  10. Death's Embrace- the enemies are innocent villagers turned into risen. A player character can have their remorseful pre-battle "I'm sorry" quote and follow it up with a joke and a sword in the risen's gut.Renewal- The enemy soldier who speaks is very much played to be sympathetic and unwilling to fight. Mustafa is portrayed as understanding Chrom's plight. His final line is "Well done, Ylisseans... Hrrggh! Please...spare my men...". Also, how exactly is it hypocritical to feel compassion for fictional characters?
  11. So in the Crown of the Old Iron King DLC, I got the scorching iron scepter, and placed it in the pedestal upstairs. Afterwards, I quit the game (through the menu, like mommy always says to). Upon reloading my save, the elevators which were working the previous evening when I quit the game were now as lifeless as when I first found them. The scepter is shown in my inventory, and I cannot get another one from the spot where I first found it. I also am unable to place the scepter in the pedestal upstairs again. Is this a known glitch?
  12. First of all, that's an unquantifiable statement. "Popular" doesn't mean anything without anything to compare it to, or a value and unit to measure popularity.Second of all, Lissa's pretty up there. In the Japan popularity poll, she was 11th out of 24 girls. If you want your Frederick trophy, you'd have to concede Lissa's, as she did score higher in the girls' list than Freddy did in the guys'. Before anyone says it, I know that comparing the male character popularity poll to the female one is sketchy at best, statistically, but as far as I am aware there was never a poll for all the characters at once. If there is such a poll, feel free to correct me.
  13. True, but they're still just as real as the playable characters. So our heroes shouting a disconcertingly large array puns at their opponents (whom, in the context of the game world, are very much real) is the sort of tonal inconsistency that people are upset about, especially in a game such as this one, where the topic of death flip-flops from being a crushing reality of war to being the punchline of a joke between conversations.
  14. The old dude is indeed Marth's advisor, his name is Malledus.
  15. Road trip fantasy is go! I feel weird for believing that this will be good.
  16. Snipers occupy a very specific niche of doing the vast majority of their combat in scenarios when they can't be counterattacked against, and rarely counterattacking themselves, so there already is a fair bit of limitation on when they should be used. A proper vengeance setup keeps the vengeance unit at as little health as possible when they are to attack, while still remaining safe. So, it stands to reason, that a vengeance sniper, if set up properly, would be able to do their job better in most every way, seeing as they shouldn't be taking many attacks, if any at all.
  17. Magical tends to be better than physical in the long haul, because enemies usually have lower resistance than defense. If Lucina is naturally better as a magic user, why not take advantage of that?
  18. I'm not sure quite what your qualm is, but vengeance provides a consistent 39 attack, which is both more reliable and often more potent than any other proc. Putting it on a sniper is actually safer than most other classes, IMO, because snipers should never be left in danger on the enemy phase, so there's less of a chance for the weakened vengeance unit to die to some unpredicted threat.
  19. Accrued damage is how much damage a unit has taken. Specifically, it's max HP - current HP.
