Fayt Zelpher
Are you more afraid of a yes or a no? I'd say I'm equally afraid of both. No for obvious reasons, and yes because I feel that I'd be an unworthy boyfriend, and wouldn't be able to treat her as well as she deserves... eclipse
Alright kiddo, as long as the "yes" part isn't because she's totally crazy. . . . . .get a spine, and realize that if she says "yes", it means she sees something worthy about you. Be proud of yourself! If she says no, then at least you'll know (and you'll be doing better than several guys from my high school).
Fayt Zelpher
The other part of it is that I simply lack the time or money to really have a girlfriend. After all, I'm a college student taking 18 hour loads (including grad classes). So, yeah, when I'm doing homework 30 hours a week, the income isn't exactly coming in.... eclipse
I'd be more concerned about the time aspect. Still, it doesn't hurt to ask!

Fayt Zelpher
It really does. I don't want to risk ruining a friendship over a relationship.
eclipse
Fine, fine, life story by some old lady time. Darn whippersnappers. Back in the days when I was in high school, I hung out with a lot of guys (by "a lot", I mean take up quite a bit of room in the cafeteria at lunch). I eventually graduated, and so did they. A few years after I graduated, I found out from someone else in that same group that several of those guys liked me, but didn't say anything. I'm not sure what would have happened if one of them had the spine to ask me, but I'm pretty sure the mess I got myself into during college wouldn't have happened! I'm still not sure how I'd approach some of those guys if I ever see them again.
CassieCinders
Make an influential friend force you to ask her out. Worked for me >_> Also, "getting friend zone'd" is bullshit, don't believe in that crap //shot
Parrhesia
Make an influential friend force you to ask her out. Worked for me >_> Meh, I prefer Depression-Recovery Pinball myself. It's complicated and I'll elaborate for anyone who's curious.
someonewhodied
Make an influential friend force you to ask her out. Worked for me >_> Yeah....last year, i had MANY influential friends talk me into asking this one girl out...didn't turn out so well... so yeah, TC: just do it or don't. no one is forcing you to do anything. Except for your best friend who is going to force you to do it at gunpoint. Edited September 18, 2010 by someonewhodied

Raven
Yeah like my first ex. Anyway find out when her birthday is, if it happens to be close, get her some flowers or something. I did that 2 years ago to a girl and it worked. Until she finished me 9 months later. Edit: My first ex and my example are not the same person.
