Amelia in chapter 13 Eirika route sounds hard, but I go out of my way to get her in chapter 9. Douglas? FE9 Jill/Shinon aren't 'hard', but they are long and generally not worth your time. And many units in FEDS and 3DS. Well, IMHO, none of those require you to jump through nearly as many hoops as you have to do to recruit Xavier. Maybe it's just me, but I think Jill is very much worth the time needed to recruit her. It's not that hard/long to do anyway. She flies directly for Ike. Doesn't she start as an NPC in Ch12 though? Maybe I'd vote for someone like Ayra if this was about battle parameters alone, but unfortunately 6 mov characters like her will just be left in the dust by horses in FE4. It's reasonable argue someone like Midir or Alec is more useful than Ayra in efficient play, that's how important a horse is. Worst: Oliver. Though I had this problem more often in FE7 - Guy moves in Hector mode (and the assload of reinforcements that appears around that time doesn't help), Geitz pretty much forces me to use Ninian to recruit him - not that I mind, Raven in Eliwood mode pretty much forces you to have Priscilla moving full speed ahead with a Cavalier escort to get to him before he kills the soldiers (or the soldiers kill him), never mind the fact that she can't fight. DX However, in that case, I'm especially surprised that you didn't mention Marisa on Ephraim route, where you practically HAVE to bait her before you try to recruit her. No sitting around or refusing to attack certain characters like a pansy - anything in his way, he kills. Back in FE6, we recruited MEN! Worst: Ray. Honorable Mentions are Raven (HHM), Joshua, Gonzales (A Route), and Jill (FE9). Worst: FEDS/FE12 Matthis (Yes, both of them.) You have to put Lena in danger/take the long way around just to recruit the worst cavalier ever. At least Oliver can heal, Rickard can be a backup thief, and Est has a 1/Over 9000! chance to become good if you baby her.
