Any useful strategy to get by Ch 12? It's amazingly hard, with only two Holy Waters, and the fact I have to deploy at least 8 characters. Half of which I did not draft. ._.

I just reached 11x. I'm gonna post my logs after this.

So...haven't seen 12 yet. Have Karin rescue someone and fly over mountains. That takes 2 people out of the danger zone.

The problem in 12 is Salem's infinite range Sleep staff.

Ch11: Dandrum Fort (6/120)

Had to use warp to get out of the trap without Lara, probably not the best use of the staff but oh well. Left Karin and Marty behind to refresh them. Rescue-drop chained Saphy forward while Selphina and Robert dealt with the random enemies. Leaf triggered the trap while Saphy was standing on a door, which shunted her into the main room. She then warped Leaf near Kempf, who killed a bunch of the enemies, then attacked Kempf next turn to trigger his retreat. Seized the turn afterwards. In the meantime, Carrion got lots of delicious EXP in the trap. Brighton captured a Killer Bow archer to keep Selphina useful.

Hnestly, Psych, do you think we actually care enough for our undrafted characters to have them all escape in the first place? :(

Yeah, well. I'm on the same chapter as Silvercrow and about 60 turns more. :/

I'm not getting close to beating him. I spend too much time worrying about undrafteds and treasure. >_> I should start leaving people behind.

@Psych: Yes, you should. It doesn't make much of a difference to have Karin (undrafted) for this chapter anyway, since she won't avoid getting Slept AFTER carrying someone, which is worse, because she can't drop the person she was carrying. And it's for one chapter, anyway. You have Eda for yuor flier needs.

Chapter 1 8 turns

Last time, I got 9 turns. This time, Evayl managed to grab a bow from an Archer for Tania.

Chapter 2 8 turns/16 turns

Grabbed Ronin for an extra bow for Tania and for the sidequest. Tania and Leaf are really good at teaming up and killing things. -1 turn from previous try. Tania and Leaf both grew in Move too. :awesome:

Chapter 2x 11 turns (So 0)

Oh god. I have to move the dead weights since stuff starts to come after me around turn 5. Only gets hairy around Shiva, cause I can never remember if Shiva moves to attack but I'm good. -2 turns from before.

Chapter 3 15 turns/31 turns

Tania reachs level 12 so early promo when she gets back. Spend a couple extra turns moving items around and getting the kids home but I grab everything including the Meteor and both scrolls. Unfortunatly, I left the Baldo scroll with Fin. :/ Eh.

Chapter 4 22 turns/56 turns (Lifis Penalty)

*sigh* This took a few tries, but I got all the civilian's to escape and I'm happy with it. Manchua and Leaf reached C swords, but the Light Sword is gonna break soon. Had to kill Dalsin, but Leaf reached 9 move. Grabbed what I needed, got the guys out of there.

Chapter 4x 15 turns(So 0)

Lara took a Life Ring for Durability. I hate this chapter so much. Sety smashed his way through the top, and Manchua and Leaf had to deal with the swarm while I had Lara try and let Sety in to kill the guys. Got the Brave Sword, Life Ring, and captured a Fire Tome, Thunder Tome, Elfire, Physic, and nabbed a Door Key. Asvel died. :/

Chapter 5 30 turns/93 turns (Lifis and Nanna Penalty)

Leaf reached the Brave Sword. Grabbed the Magic Ring for Olwen. >_> Took forever.

Chapter 6 16 turns/109 turns

Grabbed the Elite manual, Machua smash seal, and the Scroll. Sold some stuff I had from the past few chapters, bought an Iron bow for Tania just in case, and Karin ferried the non draftiees to the escape arrows. Promoted Machua at level 18 too. Lara finally has 1 Str! Woooo! And reached level 10. I figure since I only need 3 seals for Machua, Tania, and Homeros, Lara can go Thief Fighter for at least some improvement before Dancer.

Chapter 7 14 turns/127 turns(Saphy Penalty)

Promoted Lara, gave her the Elite Manual. Recruited Shiva, which is good cause Machua almost broke her swords. Saphy fixed the Brave Sword and Light Sword. Got a Warp no one can use. :awesome:

Chapter 8 15 turns/142 turns(Fin Penalty)

Aaaaand it's a Leaf solo. Machua has like 80 fatigue. Grabbed Marty. >_> Since Leaf can capture the boss, I used Fin. And since I took a penalty for him, I thought Let's get some weapons. Captured a bunch. Nabbed down seals for Tania and Homeros.

Chapter 8x 20 turns(So 0)

How did I get Tania to level 11 and she still had E bows? >_> I realize the Neir scroll gives Build, not Hezul, so Machua has been using the wrong scroll. >_> Eh, 15 str and 12 build at level 18/3 is pretty good. Dagda helps grab some Steel bows for Tania, and axes for Machua. Machua can actually capture low con people pretty well. Lara nabs the Leg Ring. Tania promotes at level 17.

Chapter 9 14 turns/156 turns

Grabbed Elite Sword and villages. Had to wait a little for Tania and Lara to come up from the south village though. Lara needs the S Drink for next chapter. I literaly can't believe it, but I must be lucky. She has enough build to grab the Daim Thunder in 10 for Olwen. No skin off my nose. I'll take another one of those.

Chapter 10 13 turns/169 turns

Lara needs an S drink. Swag: 2 S drinks, Fire Sword, Javelin, Rescue Staff. >_> I need a staff user. I keep having to chug vulnearies. Miss the Thunder Sword though. Machua got a lucky dodge against Olwen, but I nab the tome.

Chapter 11 17 turns/186 turns

Tania and Machua are fatigued. :/ Lara's close too. I need Lara for next chapter too, but I need her here...I take her anyway. I have a door key for next chapter. Stole some extra. Grabbed Toron too, but missed the Chest. Extra Thunder Sword get as well.

Chapter 11x 12 turns (So 0)

How many stat boosters did Olwen take? Oh, let us count the ways. Magic Ring, Life Ring, Speed Ring, Shield Ring, Skill Ring. Fred got Wrath and some scrolls and the Luck Ring. :awesome: Took me a couple tries, cause first I forgot a key, then the kids got hit by seige tomes, then soldiers spawn at the exit and captured them. >_>

Chapter 12

I had Leaf go out for Salem's blood, for he annoyingly slept Dagda, Dalshin and Kein. But before that happened, I bought some door keys, and got the bridge key to get by, and have Leaf kill Salem with his Fire sword. My undrafted characters had to stay behind Halvan while he acted as an escort. He also contributed by lighting a torch.

Chapter 12x

Made it to Pahn's room with Leaf, Shiva and Saphy (sped up the process by having her get rescue-chained), who got to recruit Tina. Shiva screwed up my plan to get the King sword by critiblicking Pahn.

Chapter 13

I didn't bring in Halvan in this chapter because he has the lowest Mov of everyone not-Tina, who happened to be carried around by others to get to the exit as quick as possible. I had my characters proc re-moves a few times, making them get by pretty quickly. Shiva killed the boss. Didn't take the Glade penalty because I had him escape with his soldiers' equipment. Actually, only one lance knight stood at the gate, protecting it. Thanks to the +2/30% Bonus it affords, he survived.

Chapter 14

I took all of my drafted characters into this chapter. Kein and Dagda switched sides from the entrances they were defending. They took the West and South-West entrances. Shiva took the East entrance. Halvan took the South-East one. Leaf and Dalshin made their way up to the boss through the South-West entrance, ultimately ending up with Dalshin bashing the boss with a Hammer a living to tell the story. Tina healed any one of my characters she could heal, and would, in many instances dodge most attacks she was thrown at (well, they were mostly Mages that 2HKO her). I visit more than three villages. And just when I thought the chapter was getting over with, the green units spawn in, and actually capture Tina.Only in FE5, folks. Only. In. FE5...

Ch11x: Murder Hollace (8+4/120) (Fred penalty? Not like it matters anyway.)

Left Robert, Karin, and Saphy behind. This chapter is just... lol in a straight line, tank some weak archer shots, have Selphina get kills on them. Waltzed into the throne room, captured the boss, grabbed his stuff and seized. Easy to the point where it's just sad. :( Selphina got some much needed EXP, though, and Brighton hit C Swords.

Ch12: Thieves of Dakia (5/125)

Karin is the besttttt. Flew Leaf over the entire map to get to Salem. Salem only used his Staff once, on Carrion, and it mercifully missed. This chapter was basically just self improvement for everyone else, with Carrion hitting Level 20, proccing his movement star and promoting in the same turn. His stats are actually looking REALLY impressive now. Robert, Brighton, and Marty all got some EXP too. Karin and Leaf beat up on Salem and captured him, and Leaf seized the turn afterwards. It seems the Heim Scroll village is broken though, Brighton visited it and the dialogue was all buggy and I didn't get anything. :( And yes I saved all the children in 4x.

12's villages are from the 11x children. The village Mareeta comes out of gives you a Magic Ring if Olwen visits. I got the Heim Scroll fine though. :mellow:

I'm pretty sure all green units can attack you, it's just till that chapter, the only ones you see are unarmed civilians who's AI say escape.

I have a problem with 14x, because my only three un-fatigued characters are Leaf, Dalshin and Halvan. I can't take Dalshin because he can't go through steeps, so he can't escape. And I have to deploy undrafted characters just because I am forced. What can I do?

Chapter 14x

Leaf and Halvan made their way up, while fighting through enemies. Leaf even critiblicked the boss with the Killing edge. Glade defended my undraftees and stayed behind with the rest of them, lol.

Ch. 8: 7 turns

With Othin and Fin back in the crew, this chapter's a cake-walk. Grabbed the knight's proof from the village and from the boss. Also Lifis sat out this chapter, which is understandable. Also promoted Fin early because I needed some extra firepower.

Ch. 8x: 12 turns

This chapter is not hard by itself, but the boss is. Just goes to show how broken thrones/gates are in this game, even though his stats are overkill enough. Dagda died and Tanya got captured and I actually don't know where the bandit ran away with her. Got the Wrath scroll and the Leg ring.

Ch. 9: 8 turns

Ignored the village, got the Elite sword(Not that I need the EXP boost, I'm low on swords). The wyverns were easy to handle and once I got pass to the valley, it's just one big Othin crit fest(well, the 2-range enemies were spared).

Chapter 16B

I had to use Eda here. She was fundamental for Rescue-dropping my units to the exit. Eda ferried Shiva to the boss, and then ferried Leaf to the throne so he can recruit Miranda. Um...this is...the very first time I actually get to see who Miranda is, and...well... :wub: - I MEAN YEAH SHE DID WELL WITH THE LOPTO STOMPING AND CRITIBLICKING I ALSO HAD HER USE THE DAIN SCROLL THE WHOLE TIME AND HAD SAVED LOTS OF WIND TOMES BECAUSE I KNEW SHE WOULD NEED THEM.

Chapter 17B

I had Leaf get rescue-chained by every one of my tough guys, meanwhile, Tina dodged Ballistaes like crazy, and Miranda solo'd the South-West side, where the villages were. Shiva 1RKO'd the boss with the Armourslayer, and Halvan, Dagda and Dalshin captured some Priests for their belongings. I also killed Amalda with Dagda.

Chapter 18

LolTina, LOLUNLOCKSTAFF, LOLPHYSICSPAM. God...! This is when I come to realize how damn useful and BROKEN staves are in FE5. I was like "'Kay, let's open this door...", when I realized that, not only it had long-range, but it could also open up chests. So I stole the important treeasure first (Nova scroll), and gave it to Miranda. Later Miranda proceeded to solo the room full of dancers, which would lead her to take on a few Loldiers and other Mages. Meanwhile, Halvan, Kein and Tina made their way up to the boss room, while Tina healed my characters from afar. Leaf, Dagda, Dalshin and Shiva started up at the left side, and made their way into the boss room. Well, actually, Dalshin blocked the entrance to it so enemies can't enter, which would leave Shiva and Dagda to kill Xavier and Gustave (Shiva 1RKO'd the latter).

For the first time ever, at the end of the chapter, I see Leaf promote. Promotion gains suck a**.

Ch12x: Dandelion (12/125)

asdfdsdsfdsafasdas fuck these 12 build Thieves. They're obnoxious as shit, thank god they don't steal from Leaf. All of the mounts sat this chapter out, because I want them fresh for 13. Didn't get any of the treasure except the Armorslayer, but got some EXP on Marty and Salem. Salem recruited Pahn and Saphy recruited Tina. Very easy other than avoiding the stupid Thieves. Oh, and Trewd killed himself. Poor guy.

Ch. 10: 10 turns

iufhguikanfj ballistas. Captured the fire sword armor at the start and had Lifis go north to steal a Stamina drink from the theif. The other three charge west and stall out Olwen, so we can enter the area around the throne. Othin also promoted during the chapter at Lv.19, since I think he'll need a little stat boost to kill the boss. Lifis catches up and steals the boss' knight's proof(which I sold, since Trewd's the last guy that'll need promotion and the rest of my drafts don't need one) and Othin obliterates him with a hammer.

Ch. 11: 8 turns

Fin and Othin are fatigued, so it's time for Lifis and Leaf solo again. Basically Lifis goes to the middle room and Fire-Swords the armors, while Leaf stays at a safe distance. After the trap is sprung, Lifis picks open a door and Leaf opens the next door next turn, to let Lifis pick the next door. Boss runs away after dodging my Light Sword, endured a lot of hits and cleared the way to the throne.

Ch. 11x: 8 turns

After going through that Hallway of Doom, I make my way to the boss, dodging his ninja boltings. Captured the Wind mage and the boss, mug them and seized the throne. I could get up some more levels, but I don't want fatigued units for the next chapters. Also Olwen died :(

Ch. 12: 10 turns

ghujkgfsdbk infinite sleep staff range. Thankfully, Salem can not use it sometimes on the enemy phase and I had to take advantage of that to pass through the Forest of Limited Pathways, which means lots and lots of reseting. Srly, sleep is annoying. Captured Salem with Fin and robbed him of all his stuff.

I still feel bad for the dying old man, wishing to see his grandaugther again :(

Ch. 12x: 16 turns

Just charged through, captured Trewd and recruited Pahn for his King sword. Theives were annoying, mugging stuff from the chests, but ultimately I ignored getting them back. Tina was annoying in stealing my stuff like my Brave Lance, so I captured her, took everything from her and just kept her captured. Took extra turns again to get the Knight's Proof to sell for more money.

Ch13: The Stronghold (9/134)

Brought only the mounts here. Everyone just ran towards the lovely castle except for Karin, who tried to go for the Knight Proof village but couldn't quite make it, so she got an Armorslayer instead. Tried to use Selphina and Robert a bit, but it's hard when they're so bad and Carrion and Brighton are so good. :( Hopefully the Brave Bow will breathe some life into Selphina. Glade got some kills as well, and I spent an extra turn getting Selphina her bow. Everyone escaped on turn 9.

Chapter 19

What I came to do here was rescue the NPCs, and visit the villages I could with the units up at the North. Miranda talked to Conomore, and along with Kein, Tina and Halvan, they rescued all the NPC civillians. Dagda and Dalshin visited the villages that were the closest to the exit. By the way, Miranda promoted on the first turn, placed herself at some forests, and killed everything that aproached her.
