Ein
Let's talk about anything Yu-Gi-Oh! How about I start with posted the deck I am using at the moment? Monsters - 20 (2) Scrap Golem (3) Scrap Chimera (3) Scrap Beast (3) Scrap Goblin (1) Gravekeeper's Descendant (2) Gravekeeper's Spy (1) Summoner Monk (1) Glow-Up Bulb (1) Sangan (1) Morphing Jar (2) Effect Veiler Spells - 15 (3) Scrapstorm (2) Scrapyard (2) Book of Moon (2) Mystical Space Typhoon (1) Foolish Burial (1) Cold Wave (1) Giant Trunade (1) Dark Hole (1) Mind Control (1) Monster Reborn Traps - 5 (1) Solemn Judgment (1) Solemn Waring (1) Mirror Force (1) Dimensional Prison (1) Trap Stun Extra Deck - 15 (1) Scrap Twin Dragon (3) Scrap Dragon (1) Scrap Archfiend (1) XX-Saber Gottoms (2) Stardust Dragon (1) Colossal Warrior (2) Arcanite Magician (1) Bionic, Dragon of the Ice Barrier (1) Flamvell Uruquizas (1) Ally of Justice Castastor (1) Chimeratech Fortress Dragon As you can see I run a Scrap deck. Thinking of running Scraptown which uses Gear Town to summon Ancient Gear Gadgiltron Dragon with ease to smack my opponent with a 3000 attacker. I am aware of my lack of Goyo Guardian and Black Rose Dragon. Feel free to discuss about the video games and/or the card game. :
eclipse
1. It's BRIONAC, Dragon-that's-actually-a-Sea-Serpent of the Ice Barrier. 2. Limiter Removal? Maybe remove Trap Stun. 3. Any luck getting the Naturias? Unless I'm reading this wrong, it looks like you have the Earth guys to pull it off. I need to fine-tune my deck before I embarrass myself. Ein
1 - Balance issues I suppose. Bugs me too. 2 - Even though the Scrap monsters look like machines they aren't. 3- As for Naturia Synchros. A friend of mine is willing to trade me a Beast and Barkion but I need stuff he'd want. He also has a Trishula! *sadness* I still need a bunch of stuff like a second and possibly third Solemn Warning and a decent Side Deck. I definitely gotta get a Scrap Breaker or two. Cyber Dragon for Scraps AND destroys a Scrap monster when Special Summoned by its own effect? Yes please! eclipse
I'm almost exclusively Barkion. Good luck getting one!
Ein
Ah yes. What deck do you run if any? I'm content with my Scraps but I would like to build a Six Samurai deck since it's the Six Samurai. There's also the new EXTREME VICTORY booster pack being released soon. It even has this hilariously overpowered card: W Star Cloud MeteorNormal Trap Card Change all face down monsters on the field to face up defense mode. At the end phase of this turn, change all Light Reptile monsters that are face up to face down defense and draw for each card affected by this effect. After that, you may special summon 1 level 7 and above Light Reptile monster from the deck. Worms are so terrible they needed something this overpowered. eclipse
Normally, I run a Crystal Beast deck, but it's far too slow for regionals. I'm leaning towards X-Sabers (seeing as I somehow got a hold of Darksoul), but I'm not quite sure yet.
Ein
X-Sabers... Darksoul and Emmersblade make that deck great and expensive. Well hopefully Gold Series 4 will be kind to us just as Gold Series 3 was. I just hope the Gold Rare cards don't look like crap as my friends and I dub the Gold Series 3 Gold Rares "palatero" cards. >_> Edited February 9, 2011 by Ein Silver Rose
eclipse
Emmersblade will be replaced by the much-cheaper Giant Rat. Screw Airbellum. I got lucky and pulled Darksoul. A friend did, too, so he loaning me his. Don't think I'll need a third one.
Light Lord
The deck looks cool, if you want to Synchro Summon Summoner works wonders or any Special Summon method and low level tuners. Right now I'm trying to complete fixing my new deck: [spoiler=Shining Star]------------------------------ Monsters: Breaker the Magical Warriorx2 Chainsaw Insect x1 Synchro Magnet x1 Creator Resonator x1 Cyber Dragon x1 Dandylion x1/2 Defender the Magical Knight x1 Effect Veiler x1 Junk Synchron x2 Majestic Dragon x1 Max Warrior x2 Rose, Warrior of Revenge x2 Speed Warrior x3 Stardust Xialong x1 The Tricky x1 Tuningware x1 ------------------------------- Spells: Foolish Burial x1 Hand Destruction x1 Lightwave Tuning x1 Miracle Synchro Fusion x1 Monster Reborn x1 Mysticak Space Typhoon x1 One for One x1 Reload x1 Scapegoat x1 Silver Wing x1 Swords of Revealing Light x1 United We Stand x1 -------------------------------- Traps: Defense Draw x1 Mirror Force x1 Sakuretsu Armor x1 Scrap-Iron Scarecrow x1 Starlight Road x1 Wicked Rebirth x1 -------------------------------- Extra Deck: Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste x1 Ally of Justice Catastor x1 Armory Army x1 Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier x1 Formula Synchron x1 Junk Archer x1 Junk Destroyer x1 Junk Warrior x1/2 Majestic Star Dragon x1 Shooting Star Dragon x1 Stardust Dragon x2/3 The main problem I have are the cards I still don't have, which are actually expensive or even the copies of a few. I have tested this one in games and worked pretty well for me. Also, Extreme Victory's set of cards look quite good, however it focuses on Bruno's famous Tech Genus archetype AND it won't be included in the next WC game. eclipse
Also, Extreme Victory's set of cards look quite good :) however it focuses on Bruno's famous Tech Genus archetype There's a ton of stuff I want to do with that archetype. AND it won't be included in the next WC game. FML. Looks like it will stay theory until I can get my hands on it. As for your deck. . . Why Hand Destruction? Light Lord
Getting some monster in graveyard (like Xialong or Dandylion) to get new cards and special summon again in the field. The deck mainly special summon's low level monsters for synchro summoning right away when getting the right tuners, as well as bringing Stardust ASAP. It's based directly on its archetype. eclipse
Ah, okay. Next question: Why the equips?
Light Lord
Next question: Why the equips? Both work rather well if I face something stronger than Stardust in battle. Silver Wing protects it from being destroyed in battle, while United increases his attack. I just added them to ensure Stardust's survival until getting Shooting Star to hit the field. Sometimes its hilarious to have a scapegoat with 4000 attack points, it worked once for me. Edited February 9, 2011 by Yusei Fudo
eclipse
Do you have any Forbidden Chalices? They kinda do the same thing, but they have that nifty Skill Drain effect. . .
Light Lord
Do you have any Forbidden Chalices? They kinda do the same thing, but they have that nifty Skill Drain effect. . . Well, I've been told to keep at least one. I'm looking for one, but I'm not lucky getting cards from boosters so I'll try to get it through trade or buying it. The Stardust and Shooting Star I own were from the tin, I bought about 10 packs of Yusei's duelist to get Stardust, instead I got a few useful cards, Nitro Warrior and Turbo Synchron (this actually annoyed me). My brother has the luck in cards, not me. Edited February 9, 2011 by Yusei Fudo
eclipse
I wish you luck getting it! If you do, replace United We Stand. (and replace Reload with Bottomless)
Meteor
Yugioh is a fun game, but I unfortunately don't have the budget to be competitive. It doesn't help that I only know 1 guy who plays. :/ [spoiler=Here's my shitty deck if anyone cares lol] Monsters (19) 3 Dark Magician 3 Skilled Dark Magician 3 Breaker the Magical Warrior 3 Defender, the Magical Knight 3 Crusader of Endymion 2 Maiden of Macabre 2 Gravekeeper's Spy Spells (18) 3 Book of Moon 3 Solidarity 3 Spell Power Grasp 3 Magical Dimension 1 Allure of Darkness 1 Monster Reborn 1 Mystical Space Typhoon 1 Magical Mallet 1 Reasoning 1 Card Destruction Traps (3) 2 Bottomless Trap Hole 1 Torrential Tribute Extra (0) - no tuners... Ether
I am personally running the following: Monsters x 17 Caius the Shadow monarch x1 Gravekeeper's Spy x3 Gravekeeper's Descendant x3 Gravekeeper's Recruiter x3 Gravekeeper's Assailant x3 Gravekeeper's Commandant x2 Breaker the Magical Warrior x1 Effect Veiler x1 Spells x15 Royal Tribute x2 Book of Moon x3 Gravekeeper's Stele x3 Dark Hole x1 Mystical Space Typhoon x2 Necrovalley x3 Allure of Darkness x1 Traps x8 Bottomless Trap Hole x2 Dimensional Prison x2 Solemn Warning x1 Starlight Road x1 Mirror Force x1 Torrential Tribute x1 Extra Deck x1 Stardust Dragon x1 Classic Keeper's, etc. Still need two more warnings and a solemn judgment, etc.
Ein
@Light Lord: Plant-Synchron decks can summon Shooting Star Dragon rather easily and they tend to be rather inexpensive. @Meteor: You can go with Spellcaster lock-down deck. @Ether: Oh god Gravekeeper's... The bane of anything Graveyard related... Lack of EXTREME VICTORY in the upcoming WC11 is disheartening.
Ether
Yeah, Necrovalley itself is probably better than the rest of the deck, XD. Funnily enough, two guys at my locals run Scraps... I know why you made your comment, so to speak. One thing I want to try, yet cannot at the moment, is a deck based on Ruin. I managed to get what I think is a decent decklist down... Monsters 23 2 Demise, King of Armageddon 2 Ruin, Queen of Oblivion 2 Chaos Sorcerer 1 Dark Armed Dragon 3 Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands 2 Armageddon Knight 2 Djinn Disserere of Rituals 2 Djinn Presider of Rituals 2 Djinn Releaser of Rituals 2 Honest 2 Senju of the Thousand Hands 1 Sangan Spells 16 3 Book of Moon 3 End of the World 2 Burden of the Mighty 2 Creature Swap 2 Mystical Space Typhoon 1 Dark Hole 1 Giant Trunade 1 Monster Reborn 1 Burial from a Different Dimension Traps 3 3 Royal Decree Senjus are likely gonna be replaced with Gishki Chain when it comes out stateside. Light Lord
Lack of EXTREME VICTORY in the upcoming WC11 is disheartening. I know, it will be possibly the last WC game using 5Ds as the main story, yet its not fully confimed. The game itself says it covers cards up to Storm of Ragnarok, yet I believe you can actually play one of the powerful Machine Emperors (there's an image where it is actually summoned, yet I can't tell if it's available). So far, Yugioh wikia states the game is released this month in the USA, but Gamefaqs registers it in March. Maybe if they could release it until past February when Extreme Victory is released in Japan we could hope for its appearance in the game, as well as possibly the last arc of 5Ds being included. It's up to Konami. And this spring 5Ds will be replaced by ZEXAL, while Synchros will be replaced by Exceeds or Excess. Ein
Snargleblargh! A friend and I bought a Storm of Ragnarok for 70$ I got some nice pulls but he got Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En and Scrap Breaker. It also seems that MANLYLegendary Six Samurai - Kizan is short printed which is why it costs around 40$...
Light Lord
Did you get any of the Polar Gods by any chance? Many people over here want them in their decks, but they are the same Loki, Thor and Odin we've always heard of, but in Yugioh. @eclipse: Yeah, me too. The new hero apparently is younger than the others, I supposed everything that begins well, must have an end. On a side note, will someone be using WC 2011 for Turbo Duels? Supposedly you can Turbo Duel Wi-Fi and even in teams of up to 3 members (if you saw the WRGP you know why 3 members).
