Or, he might make it so that the tower's first floor automatically ends right when you step into it, meaning that you just go straight to the save screen and actually can't do anything in it. The only thing I don't know about it though, is how the events determine if you are allowed to go to the next floor prompt, etc. probably some kind of perma ID is triggered at the end every chapter after ch8 and the tower waits until all enemies are defeated, then checks to see if those IDs were triggered, and if so, gives the option to go to a new floor.
