Well, unless you're a pro and/or you're playing with something that isn't Leaf, Eliwood, Hector, Lyn or Marth. Who the fuck cares about Lance, I could beat the game without him. It doesn't matter if Roy is the worst combat unit ever, the utility of making it possible to win the game makes him the best unit by default. Any other unit is optional.
