ZemZem
The farthest I've gotten in Phantom Ship was getting L'Arachel recruited, but she soon got killed. This might take a while.
ZemZem
Chapter 11: Phantom Ship (Part 1) Turns taken: 10 turns I apologize for the delay, but Phantom Ship without Duessel, Seth, or anyone else meatshielding is a pain in the ass. It was so bad, that I had to edit in a rule. Believe me, this will be the only time a non-bow user (Dozla) that isn't Eirika or Ephraim will be used. Ephraim, Garcia, and Ross were the only ones that were deployed, since they're the ones that died the least in all of my attempts...well, Ephraim died quite a lot due to the RNG being a dick, but he's forced in every chapter from chapter 9 on, so whatever. A few lucky criticals at the beginning by Ephraim and Garcia helped majorly, and Ross had to kill some monsters flying onto the ship from the north. After that, Ephraim had to soak up all the EXP by murdering everything on the monster ship while I hoped to God that he didn't get killed in the process. Please be the winning attempt, please be the winning attempt, PLEASE BE THE WINNING ATTEMPT- Is it over...? Guys, I think it's over! THANK GOD. Continued on post #35. ZemZem
Perhaps you should rescue L'Arachel with Dozla ... Or Garcia, since Dozla would be more useful to use in this chapter.
Sunwoo
That would work, too. If L'Arachel won't stop dying, the best solution would probably be to remove her from the battlefield.
ZemZem
The only chapter in which Dozla can shine. *wipes tear from eye*
Sunwoo
That picture = L'Arachel's my favorite troubadour, although I'm not sure what exactly it is about her that makes me like her.

ZemZem
Chapter 11: Phantom Ship (Part 2) Turns taken: 10 turns On my many attempts at trying to beat this damned chapter, I figured that promoting Neimi early would be a smart move. Besides, she was blessed, and her caps are fairly low, anyway. Ephraim practically soloed the chapter, and Dozla was taking care of the enemies on his and L'Arachel's ship. Unfortunately, L'Arachel was removed from the game, since she was heavily injured by a Gargoyle. Neimi, Ross, and Garcia took care of the boss and the reinforcements from the west. This was definitely the hardest chapter in this playthrough, and it'll take a lot for it to be topped. Edited July 27, 2012 by ZM456
ZemZem
Chapter 12: Landing at Taizel Turns taken: 35 Charging down the middle was NOT the best idea. Ephraim, Natasha, and Neimi went down the east path, and Garcia, Ross, and Moulder went down the west. Garcia/Ross hit B support, and Ewan was only recruited to give away his dragonshield. The thing that ticks me off about this chapter most was the fact that the killer bow archer got a critical on Ephraim, who then was killed by a merc and a mage on an attempt. And on another one, Neimi was criticalled by the same archer, and the criticalled AGAIN by the same merc. I know the RNG hates me, but it's still pretty harsh. Boss was simple, and he was killed so Ross could make use of the swordslayer until he promotes. Our boy also hit level 20. Recruited Marisa, because why not. And it was funny watching her chip damage off of Garcia. Edited July 27, 2012 by ZM456

ZemZem
Chapter 13: Fluorspar's Oath Turns taken: 25 Yes, I'm done being lazy. This chapter's actually not that bad, despite the tons of enemies. Garcia and Ross's B support really helped here, too. Not only that, but Gerik finally joined our team, and him and his bases of awesome and high sword rank are more than helpful. Tethys is a nice necessity, too. The plan was to have Garcia and Ross move to the left with Moulder following for healing help, and Ephraim and Neimi moving to the right to meet up with Gerik and Tethys with Natasha following for healing purposes. It was annoying having tons of cavaliers and fighters attack Garcia and Ross, and even more so when the pegasus knights started popping out. Yes Gerik, yes. Ross is rescuing Moulder, BTW. The most annoying part of the chapter was at the beginning, and that's only because of lack of doubling (which is understandable, since Ross and Garcia are slow, the former holding someone once the PKs came) and stupid pegasus knights. The situation on the right had that sniper, too, which thankfully was taken out quickly, since the PKs liked attacking Gerik. *gulp* After Ephraim baited out all of Selena's bolting shots, the chapter became fairly simple, since the remainder of the enemies didn't move and attack unless you were right next to them or in their range. The talisman village was visited, but the barrier stave village at the bottom wasn't, which wasn't really needed anyway. It's a good thing the pirates came to the talisman village, too, since it gave Gerik easy EXP. Selena then was then impaled by Gerik, who was using the Zanbato. Gerik, you never fail to impress. EDIT: Removed the spoiler tags so NM will stop reminding me about the quantity of the images. EDIT TWO: Never mind. NinjaMonkey
Since when does seven screenshots count as "a lot"? Anyway, it's good to see that you're continuing on with this. Edited June 24, 2012 by NinjaMonkey

Breezy Kanzaki
Have fun doing Chapter 15, it should be fun. And Chapter 14 with the Mage reinforcements on the left side. Speaking of I should do Chapter 15 for my PMU run.

ZemZem
too bad you don't get the best archer in the game until desert :( At least he and Eirika can handle the top part of the chapter while Saleh hides like a pansy, so he'll already get some immediate action. Pirates can promote to warriors too! That would've been a good move on my part if I promoted Ross into a pirate, since the promotional gains, IIRC, are superior to the fighter's. Oh well, I'm satisfied with how Ross turned out.
ZemZem
Chapter 14: Father and Son Turns taken: 23 Promoting Ross, since Gerik will be more useful in this chapter weapon-wise. Plus, the merc needs to gain some EXP anyway. The healers, Ross, Garcia, and Neimi started on one end, while Ephraim, Gerik, Tethys, and Colm started on the other end. Ephraim had to go to the other end to catch up to Rennac, who we unfortunately have to pay 10,000 gold to, due to L'Arachel being taken out of the battle. The reinforcements from the two ends were easy to handle (Ross/Garcia hitting A support helped a ton, too.). The main problem of this chapter were the status staves, which were VERY annoying to deal with. The problem was soon taken care of, though, because of MOULDA DA BOULDA and Natasha. I have no idea why he berserked Natasha, but whatever. Recruited Rennac, then sent him off with Tethys to loot with Colm. Gerik handled the knights guarding the bottom room and the shaman inside, finally reaching level 20. During that time, Ephraim and the others handled the mages (with their Elfire tomes of pain) and the shaman (which were not a problem). After that, the annoying part of the chapter ended. Eh, could've been worse. Made Ephraim use the talisman so he could take more hits from the magic users in Vigarde's room, as well as a shot of pure water. Then our lord went to take on Vigarde. During the enemy phase, Vigarde attacked Ephraim and missed, but then he used GREAT SHIELD, which was unlucky since Ephraim was going to critkill him. Then Ephraim missed. I would've filmed it, but I was too busy raging a bit. Player phase, I had Ephraim attack Vigarde again and thankfully he hit twice. Then I had Ross steal the kill thanks to his support with Garcia. Wasted some turns after to send Rennac to the secret shop to buy a hero crest for Gerik with the 10,000 gold found in a chest.
ZemZem
Chapter 15: Scorched Sand Turns taken: 32 (Or was it 31? I don't remember.) If only he could still use swords. Ephraim and his posse (plus Rennac) went north to where Caellach's forces were to meet up with Eirika, Innes, and Saleh, who were running away from the incoming pegasus knights. Weird approach, I know, but charging right where Valter was is suicide. The hardest part of this chapter was definitely being sandwiched inbetween the pegasus knights and the reinforcements arriving where Ephraim's party started. Ephraim, Eirika, Garcia, and Ross took care of the cavaliers and bottom reinforcements (Who thankfully didn't move unless you were in range. The dangerous ones, at least.) while Innes, Neimi, and Gerik took care of the pegasus knights and mages, as well as the rest of Caeallach's goons. Caellach himself was easy to handle. Neimi and Gerik took turns chipping away at him, and Eirika moved in to finish him off with the silver sword, hitting level 20 in the process. This Gerik is too good. The way I'm doing this chapter reminds me of FE4 a bit, since I had to go ALL the way to the southeast to handle Valter and his forces. Heh, at least there's no castle to seize. :P Gave Ephraim the swiftsole/boots for later in the game. Playing cautiously here...those rangers aren't friendly. THIS. This literally almost gave me a heart attack. If Ephraim hadn't attakced that troubadour and went for Valter, there was a very high chance I'd have to restart this chapter. Thankfully Moulder restored him in time. Ephraim and Gerik then tag-team'ed Valter, ending the chapter. The only items that weren't dug up were the eclipse tome and the killer bow, which would've been nice to have. Gerik hit C bows, too. Oh well. Have an energy ring. Your strength sucks.
