I think Eclipse's point was that, SINCE no such role exists, I'm either town acting on reads or scum working unnecessarily hard to get a buddy lynched. And because the latter scenario doesn't make very much sense, I'm more likely town. But, if there had been some sort of investigation claim, then voting for the person who scanned guilty doesn't earn me any credit at all. Also, I reread the post that I thought was crumbing vig, and I'm much less sure of it. Also also, I kind of let my thing on Boron drop before, to focus on the role thing, but to answer the last unanswered question: no, you don't have to say "but I think SB is still worse" at every turn, I just found it interesting and wanted to see how you'd respond. Eclipse, on D1 we argued about whether me inserting "and I'm town" into my argument showed self-conscious scum motivation. What I said scorri was doing is basing her argument for why she's town on the assumption that she's town. Man, Refa's posts in the last 12 hours or so are just a collection of bad: 1. Assumes all scum will follow the same strategy 2. "I honestly didn't feel like we'd get any new information" in the almost two days remaining in the phase (32 hours-ish at this point) 3. Never suggested that we stop discussing, just that we take an action that forces us to stop discussing 4. "I wanted Euklyd to get votes while the majority of players were awake" (<--- THINGS THAT DON'T MAKE ANY SENSE) 5. presents 3 scenarios re: scorri wagon and says there's a "very real possibility" that scorri is antitown 6. says "well one person on the scorri wagon was town so assuming there's at least one scum might be bad" 7. completely misunderstands Eclipse's theory post 1 and 7 aren't really scummy or townie IMO, just really bad. But 2/3/4 are really weak arguments for a turbolynch (and 3 is hypocritical and 4 is nonsensical), 5 feels like using spooky scary words to make us think scorri could be scum without actually giving any supporting evidence, 6 is just NOT HOW LOGIC WORKS (have you heard of the Monty Hall problem? Well, think of the mafia as the hosts in this situation). ##Vote: Refa Refa, can you please explain what changed your read on scorri from "would lynch" at the end of D1, as indicated by your vote on her, to "would not support a lynch", as you stated in a recent post? His Refa vote looks good but it took a while and the whole thing reads as hesitant to me so idk. (sorry btw I have a hard time responding to your posts sometimes, that's just me being a baby) As for Refa, he's admittedly one of the players I haven't looked as much into, but he hasn't done anything to convince me he's town either. The NL discussion is a nullread to me. I wouldn't mind lynching him today either, it doesn't seem like Poly is going to put in effort today and that's really annoying. Kinda wish Psych had vigged someone other than Kevin, there are better vig targets imo. I don't know. I can look more into Refa today. JOAT has been claimed by two players, and there's another role which, if town, could have a duplicate on the scum side. Anyway, this is just rolespec and I definitely wouldn't put Psych/Weapons in a 1-on-1 or anything because of it, but if we see another scum flip to match a claimed town role, I'd be very suspicious. Unofficial Votals: Paperblade (3): Scorri, Elieson, Polydeuces Polydeuces (2): Paperblade, Refa Refa (4): Eclipse, Grassbridger, Bizz, Psych Not Voting (4): Kay, Euklyd, Weapons, Boron Huh, Refa was voted by Eclipse, then later myself, then Bizz, then almost immediately afterward Psych. Suddenly I don't like the wagon on Refa--it seems too similar to the wagon on Scorri, which was started by Eclipse, then Refa got on it later, then Bizz, then almost immediately afterward Psych (yes Paperblade was in between, but there were only 7 minutes between Bizz's vote and Psych's vote last time), then topped off by Shinori. It's not enough to make me change my vote, just enough to make me worried... My read on Bizz is going downhill. I can't vote for all 4 of you at once for a quarter of a vote each, so it's also reasonable to wait until I feel more strongly. (I could also explain my heuristic Bayesian inference model of voting, but I don't feel like it.) Anyway if I'm NOT gone for the next 9 hours, I'm not focusing on my grading enough. Let's just say a blanket statement that kids don't like seeing their mom escorted by police to their "work meetings that i don't know when it'll finish up". Upon a quick burst of a reread of today's posts; psych why are you claiming more things? Grass, if you could bell-curve rate Viata on a town-scum scale, where would you put her? Your waffling on the subject is pretty confusing. Kay is looking like....nothing, and all this time that's having like no posts from her at all is pretty dissappointing. 13/10 would support a Vig if only to prevent discussion from including various "what ifs". Between Vanilla!Polynoobs and AFKay, neither look good, though that's in part just me hating on the inactivity. Paperblade's reaction sounded pretty genuine (the one yesterday), but emotion is a nulltell, so blahhhhhh. I still question his vote on Polynoobs, if only because the casing just didn't seem that legit (let's borrow a case kthx) Weapons needs to reeeeeeeeallllly get back and explain himself before phase end. Like, this whole debacle between him and Euk could have really ended up in a lynch of Euk, and I almost suspect that weapons just came back and posted "JUST JOKING GAIS" in order to protect himself from looking bad in case Euk was hammered before he could claim otherwise.
