You just pay attention to your opponent's team preview to see if it has anyone capable of using rock type moves, or something like that. With Giga Impact you're pretty much assured to get rid of 33% of your opponent's team in one hit. IMO if you play well that can be huge. But I'm so used to Doubles. I'm switching to doubles too soon, no worries. I've always preferred doubles over singles since Colosseum and Gale of Darkness came out. Gods, those games. I have done a few super trainings, but I don't Ev train all that much so I guess you could say my team is pretty casual.
