If you implemented a nerf on healing, but still allowed it, it would create interesting scenarios. Something like a 50% healing reduction on staves would allow you to include a healer on your team if necessary, but still have one as a risk, since most are slow and have low defense.

run two durable healers with recover staves. done.

Dragon caps would be too good, the speed doubles everything... the strength and defense are both incredibly high...

I still have had way more trouble with dragons than enemy royals...I can still do max stats though, no problem.

That's because we allow a certain level of customization for dragons so they aren't just clones of each other. But royals are always the same so they can safely take each other down.

Comparable but Dragons win out because boon. I would say alllowing neither would be best though because Beorcs are outmatched in every way by this.

That's not what max stats is bear. It is the stats you would have if you proc'd everything every level up. No just class caps.

yeah my team doesn't actually need any dismounted units but i'd like for someone to answer this EVENTUALLY

The resources have been updated with FE7 and FE8 maximum stats, so if anybody is not involved with the PoR tourney, or willing to multi-task with that, you could try to find a host and play some games in these metas.

The FE7 max stats are just the 20/20 stats for each character assuming they had all perfect level-ups. Stat boosters (most notably Body Rings) should probably be allowed in this meta for units who haven't capped their stats, but the majority of units has done so, which makes previously unviable units like Dorcas/Bartre, Wallace, Isadora (assuming US), Canas with Luna/Nosferatu very viable. Support affinities and options will probably decide which characters you end up using, as well as caps in the important stats of course.

The FE8 max stats are just caps for Eirika, Ephraim and all the playable classes (I excluded female Heroes, Summoners and suchlike stuff). Since you can cap them at any level promoted, you should probably specify the level (probably either 1 or 20) when sending in your team. 20/1 makes Great Shield procs very unlikely, while Snipers and WKs will appreciate better proc rates on Sure Strike and Pierce respectively and will want to be lv. 20. No boosters are necessary in this metagame, and con is high enough to not be weighed down by even the heaviest weapons (read tomes). Garm and Excalibur users will be great units in this meta, and having below 30 AS will be a big shortcoming for all others.

In both metas, having 30 luck means less bullshit crits - probably a good thing.

So the con has been raised as high as necessary for each unit to use the heaviest weapon they have access to without attack speed loss? Did I interpret that correctly.

And I don't think sub 30 speed will be a huge detriment. The only units who even get 33 AS are Dozla and Berserker/Journeyman Ross. The rest are hanging around 30-31 AS.
