Lt.Smirks
Agro Posted Today, 07:04 AM The loincloth of the lancer look a bit like a... uh... You know... thing... Why do you think the cloth is so long? The Merc Posted Today, 07:14 PM Holy shit, Smirks these are amazing! I love the Outlaw, Gladiator and Champion. Merc likes them!! Thank you :) @Errant- I tried some of your critiques. hopefully that looks less... phallic Edited October 22, 2015 by Smirks
Lt.Smirks
Animation is started. Ignore the legs and return frames. :) Look at the legs if you want. I'm not the police. and with some help from Errant, the Lancer is more proportionate and now he looks...decent. Primefusion
Whoa, snazzy! I'm really liking the head. But, it doesn't have any ankle joints and the thighs look kind of like ping-pong paddles.
ErrantDShepherd
His tail kind of looks like... Uh... You know... a thing. Smirks is perhaps Smirking for a reason? >.> Agro does have a point with where the tail is positioned... Slightly awkward. Nice sprite though. :D
Rubidium
That's a hella cool dragon. Is it for anything specific, or just for fun? Agro seems to be pointing out a lot of...you know...in this thread recently.
Lt.Smirks
@Agro- Oh, you thought that was a tail? hmm... @Prime- The head is the only thing I really worked on. @Rubidium- I made him for the BBSS and then added the rest of the body just for fun. Agro
Is that a render of a 3D model? interesting way of working. Could probably do with a pause before the strike or a little flourish after attacking to add some flavour - it's a bit plain at the moment. But I'm excited to see where it goes. ErrantDShepherd
Interesting. I too am curious about this process bud... (May have to try it myself?)
Lt.Smirks
Good eye Agro, I used Blender, turned of anti-aliasing, set all materials to shadeless, and made the render dimensions super small. Then I pulled up an old model, changed a few colors, gave him a quick animation and voila!
Lt.Smirks
Well I missed my second anniversary here, so here's a compilation of all/most of the battlesprites I've done in that time. Doesn't look like so many when you put them all together like that... note- not all of them are fully mine- Large Dragon Knight was started by a "Chronos Vanreicht" and edited with permission. Jouster(bottom right) uses the salvaged Cav revamp as a base. Edited November 16, 2015 by Smirks
ErrantDShepherd
This program looks very very interesting...(I am excited bud about the possibilities :0) ...that is actually quite a lot of production especially considering you have done animations, mugs and other stuff since Jan. 2014... It's definitely been a productive year for ya Smirks. Very impressive stuff, and you have come a long way. You're a hell of a guy and a hell of a spriter, bud. So glad to have you around, as an artist whose work I enjoy, and as a friend! Happy Anniversary! :) *suddenly notes his own date of gallery...steals/borrows? Smirks anniversary idea* Edited October 27, 2015 by TheErrantShepherd

deranger
Loving all the stuff. I think the Outlaw's arm could flourish a little more to swing the arrow over top, or could bring it the other way if you don't want the arm to move as much. Right now, the arrow seems two swing around on its own. In general, I think it could use a few more frames, it seems a bit choppy right now. (Trust me, I know that just means more work. the inbetween frames usually don't have to be perfect
