intergalacticoh Posted May 26, 2014 Share Posted May 26, 2014 I used the drops on a really blessed Pent once... Anyway, Nino blows unless you're doing ranked, in which case she's pretty decent. HHM cog of destiny still sucks for her though, as she's 1RKO'd by Bolting users and Valks, regardless of barrier/pure water boosts. And for the staff rank - spamming Heals, then Mends, then Barriers can easily get her to Physic access quickly. Mend is the best staff EXP sink. Her lolCon makes her take -6 from Elfire after promotion...no thanks. She shouldn't be hurting the tactics rank too much if at all, either way. Obviously we can't have all units with us and since we get other mages so early on then why waste the time getting her caught up, unless you like her as a character and use her anyway. I've used her in my gameplay and she's alright, I do feel sorry about her though because of the lies she has to go through. :( 2) Her personality. I'd hate to make it sound like I don't like her at all but her cheery personality seems kind of strange considering she's in a dark organization. 3) Stats. I don't want to say it but stats truly does affect a character. I mean, if she had the stats that rivals Hector, then everyone will use her. You can have the most likable character ever but if their stats are extremely low or that it takes a lot of effort, then players tend to dismiss them. That's my guess though. And now I'm considering, if I should use Nino or not because she joins very late only level 5. Though if I read all the comments, she seems to be an "Est-character". Her bases and growths are pretty good. Some enemies are still first tier, so I think it's possible to give her some levels. Erk has tons of speed and high HP, but his magic and resistance leave to be desired for a sage! Another anima mage would be a good addition. I will defiitively try her out! Even though she surpasses Erk in every way bar HP and Def, when you have an established unit, it's hard to take resources away from them. Although using her is great for Canas who needs supports. I once tried using her for Hector Hard mode and of course that was the time that she failed at life. As a level 6 sage, she only had 14 or 15 magic, while she was excelling everywhere else though. You can promote her without much trouble, even in HHM, by the end of the side chapter you get after recruiting her it's just easier, and better for speed runs to ignore her.
