euklyd
Super Smash Bros for 3DS/Wii U, Arrow, and Snow Crash, respectively. Probably Arrow's because it's basically the real world but with super powers, but Snow Crash's has a certain appeal. Seems like a shitty place to live, though. MacLovin
Wing Commander 3, Resevoir Dogs, or The Chessmen of Mars. Edgar Rice Burrough's Pellucidar [What he called Mars} would be the default best one out of the 3.
Parrhesia
Breaking Bad. I just have to, like, not do meth. Or take planes. I'd just fly up... um... north? I guess? I don't fucking know where New Mexico is, but I'm sure I have mates in the area. This sure is a pro dodging the question answer though so my Not Modern Earth answer is ... hell, it might be cool to just chill out in the Star Wars universe, KOTOR or SWTOR era. Are you talking about the one where scholars intent an alternate world, and then Borges suggests that the fantasy world is replacing the real one? Or something?;

To be more accurate (hahaha pretentious bragging rights), I think the story is written as though the project is in progress rather than completed.
