Refa
It's because your base reasoning was a gut read, which I didn't really catch on my first time through. I think your later posts would be fine for elaborating on a normal scumread, but not enough for the basis of a scumread on their own? Refa
Forgot to reply to this. I didn't realize Elieson was active elsewhere. That's kind of bad but it may not mean much. Mafia is hard and stressful so I'm not sure how much stock to put into itwrt Kaoz I'm fairly sure? But the last game I recall him playing in was like a year ago so I dunno but as scum he writes a lot but most of it is "I don't understand X can someone explain it to me" or replying to people's posts with "This is possible but have you considered X" with very little analysis. Granted this was all fairly out of date but I'm not sure I'd expect Kaoz's mafplay to get better with lack of practice? Fair enough on both of your points (especially Kaoz, since I haven't really played with him all that much). I dunno though, kind of biased here WRT Elieson because the last time he didn't make any effort to post (and he was pretty busy around those times as well) he was scum. Elieson
i'm only active in the fe link arena boards, which takes like no thought since i automated everything for myself last month @Kaoz mybad on the vote; i meant to say scumread You said this though. So, consolidation. From what I can tell we're looking at j00 and Elieson as primary targets and Shin and Dormio as secondary ones. I don't like the Dormio slot for what should be obvious reasons, but it's more like I don't want his slot to be around when push comes to shove - laziness isn't alignment indicative. This part stands out to me, as it just seems like a needlessly tacked on excuse to want someone lynched without logic, i.e. it's a scumread but it's more like filler
Blitz
@Blitz #341 (1) I thought it was townie because he kept the vote until he himself actually understood the situation instead of dropping it half-heartedly, but he did switch after gaining that understanding. I think that's a townie thing to do. Also, I don't agree with using something Randa did to case Elieson. (2) Where was I waffling on Elieson? The only other time I even mentioned him before then was to ask him a question. (1) personally, I think he had realized the situation a long time earlier, but, that could be just me. I also think it was probably the easiest thing for him to do than going after someone else. As for the reference to Randa, the game was anony and I had cased him for a very similar reason and he had turned up scum (plus, I didn't realize he was Randa), so, it has nothing to do with meta or player behavior. (2) this is what I meant @Elieson I don't understand why you're voting Blitz. Could you summarize it again, please? it sorta sounds like you didn't like that post by him Leaning town on Elieson myself, the way he stuck to and then backed off Manix reads positive to me, wouldn't want to lynch him. but, then you said he was a town read and that is pretty much what I meant. Percivalé
ALL RIGHT I GOT THIS I'M READIGN I actually read something entirely wrong, I thought Kaoz ended the day voting Dormio. He didn't so I'm confused why Elie is voting him bc it feels like it'd make more sense if he had been on Dormio's wagon when the day ended but I haven't really been reading admittedly brb
Percivalé
oh he didn't even VOTE dormio. I'm confused
Percivalé
The only thing that makes me hesitant to vote Elie is his self-vote towards the end of D1, it feels like a weird move when there was another 100% viable wagon option and a really risky gambit if he flipped scum. Would he do that as scum? I think I'd rather lynch Iris more because her Dormio vote had 100% nonexistent reasons behind it and she doesn't even address it at all D2 after he flipped town, instead she jumps on a (probably kinda easy) Elie vote literally right after, and then goes "Refa pushed the Dormio wagon so maybe he could be scum!! but I haven't read him and maybe that's too risky to do as scum. But maybe he is scum??" and it feels like trying to cover herself by jumping on just other random people that were on the wagon for half-baked reasons. Consider also this: Also remember that Haze switched to, the Dormio wagon so for most intents and purposes, Haze was effectively on that wagon and should be scrutinized as well. ##Vote: Iris I'm still kinda behind and not actually sure what the wagons are actually
Percivalé
Actually I'm gonna reread Kaoz because something bugs me but that's gonna have to wait until a bit later from now sorry
Paperblade
@Paperblade #358 Didn't Haze and SB bus each other pretty hard in that one game --- Hard NOCs? It was Semi-precious I think? Some eclipse game. I recall the details of this because Haze complained to me on Skype about how hard he was being bussed by SB. Specifically, that he was being singled out for things other people (that were town) did.
Kaoz
This part stands out to me, as it just seems like a needlessly tacked on excuse to want someone lynched without logic, i.e. it's a scumread but it's more like filler It's perfectly logical. Would you rather have slots in XYLO that you have a chance to get a read on or those that you don't have a chance to? Obviously the former, and with Dormio's motivation levels at the time I made my post, he fell into the latter category. (2) this is what I meant it sorta sounds like you didn't like that post by him He didn't give a reason for that vote, hence I asked for clarification. That's all. It was Semi-precious I think? Some eclipse game. I recall the details of this because Haze complained to me on Skype about how hard he was being bussed by SB. Specifically, that he was being singled out for things other people (that were town) did. Yeah, it was an eclipse game. But anyway, didn't know about that. Thanks for clarifying. Also, phase ends in less than three hours, doesn't it? Who is here and who wants to lynch who?
Snike
I'm here, just had to step out for some paperwork. My lynch priority within the reasonable lynches today would be Iris, then elie, then shin/kaoz. I'll switch if need be.
Kaoz
Elieson (3) - Iris, Blitz, Refa Iris (3) - Paperblade, Snike, Iris Shin (2) - Kaoz, j00 Kaoz (2) - Shin, Elieson j00 (1) - Haze Also, missed this. It's because your base reasoning was a gut read, which I didn't really catch on my first time through. I think your later posts would be fine for elaborating on a normal scumread, but not enough for the basis of a scumread on their own? It's a semantics read. Snike
you typoed. Quote is on the Iris wagon.
Shin
I don't really have much else to add, I've said my cases on both Kaoz and Eli. I'm not really feeling Iris. Like, I'm not actively opposed to her lynch but I don't feel that strongly about her to push it beyond preventing a NL.
j00
Shin > Iris > Kaoz > Elieson ##Unvote ##Vote: Iris I'll be here right before deadline, but a bit busy right now. I still think Shin is the best lynch because I'm not really feeling his content, he's actually not inactive but his cases all feel a bit lackluster. Iris has been tunneling Elie weakly for a long time, so I'm okay with that too.
j00
We should probably narrow this down to Elie and Iris though, since from what I gather most people prefer one of them to either Shin and Kaoz. I'd like to avoid a wagon today where most people voting are simply doing it out of securing a lynch, so at least state if you're voting among your preferred lynches or if you're doing it to consolidate. I'm willing to lynch Shin and Iris today.
Refa
Honestly, at this point I'd prefer to lynch Elieson or Iris (and my preference here should be obvious). Anyone else is consolidation (by this, I mean Shin; wouldn't consolidate on Kaoz). Consider also this: ##Vote: Iris Why would it be a risky gambit if he flipped scum (considering he was assuming that he would get lynched anyways at the time of the lynch)? She explained that her Dormio vote was for consolidation. In a vacuum, there's nothing really wrong with it (the issues are that she didn't try to push Elieson over Dormio). Haze
[spoiler=excuses] granted Haze might just be busy because he also hasn't posted in the well so idk 15 hour shifts do stifle my activity a bit. I tried to catch up on the game yesterday during my break but fell asleep logging into wifi. Let's address some shit to start off. @Blitz: I didn't. I was agreeing with Snike, and explaining why, but apparently it's flown over everyone's head and I haven't had time to follow up, so I doubt it's happening today. ##Unvote Regarding SB and I bussing eachother, Brad is correct, that started with SB bussing me and I was fuming over it. Onto lynching. Also remember that Haze switched to, the Dormio wagon so for most intents and purposes, Haze was effectively on that wagon and should be scrutinized as well. What, like you? Fuck off I'm not letting you get away with trying to deflect to me while I've been busy. Dormio was my second choice of lynch so my swapping to him was a frivolous matter, unlike you. You said in your #199 that you didn't understand it and had said all day that Elieson was your strongest scumread, yet you flippantly swapped to Dormio without explanation and handwaved it day 2 by saying you did it because you didn't want to lynch Elieson, but now that Manix and Dormio are dead you're happy to park yourself on Elieson again. ##Vote: Iris pretty sure I addressed that somewhere. No, you didn't. Address it now. All you've done both days is park on one person and flip flop more than pancakes on fucking pancake day on everyone else. Prims
Votals 2.4 Iris (5) - Paperblade, Snike, Via, j00, Haze (L-1!) Elieson (3) - Iris, Blitz, Refa Kaoz (2) - Shin, Elieson Shin (1) - Kaoz Not Voting (0): None! You have 1 hour and 54 minutes left in the phase. With 11 alive, it takes 6 to lynch.
j00
Yo Haze since no one knows when you'll have opportunity to post again, what was your reasons for dropping that vote on me? I'm still your second scumread and at this point I'm not even sure why, since last time you explained your case was like mid D1.
Elieson
I can't tell if my read on Kaoz is just muffed up because i'm interpreting his verbage and semantics in a specific way, or if I have a legit scumread on him because of it. I'm bouncing towards the latter though. There's not enough Kaoz to figure this out. He has a 20 post per day limit, he should try to get near that
j00
Since we actually have a lynch going on and people only post before deadline, no one hammer yet
Refa
Elieson, I appreciate that you feel confident about your Kaoz vote, but it'd be cool if you could address the rest of the game (as in, your thoughts). Haze's vote is a bit reactionary, but in a town way? It's very Shinoriesque in how he assumes that he's town (bad wording here, but hopefully the meaning of it isn't lost) and cases people who have bad cases/issues with them.
Refa
j00, if you're going to be on at deadline, you should just unvote so that noone accidentally hammers (this really applies to anyone on the wagon who's going to be on at deadline but yeah).
