On high quality meat houses, i prefer medium rare. On other sorts of restaurants, i prefer medium. If I don't trust the place that much or know that the person isn't good at cooking meats, then just give it to me well done lol. i tend to prefer rarer beef, but the rarer the meat, the easier it is to mess it up.
