It also "helps" that the first VP is happening during the home stretch before Ragnarok. As well as Spoiler the Dragon Orb, the very thing keeping Midgard stable, has long been taken from its resting place, not helping either. I find the transition to digital-only isn't as total yet, partly due to the disparities in internet capabilities and a degree of luddism that doesn't really find that the digital rights are all that well developed. And I suspect an affinity for some to keep physical media to at least some degree, there could be an argument a full digital only gaming sphere to end up being solely a PC market with no reason to aim for consoles in a world with fewer exclusives and more subscription services pursued by publishers/console manufacturers. Digital is more convenient and you don’t have to worry about losing them and you can get them quicker than ordering online but... I don’t know, I just like them.
