me just ask you a question: Are you ready for Xenoblade to be the next Fire Emblem? As in, the next "weaboo anime boobs game" that everyone hates because it keeps hogging the attention in Smash? Because that's what's going to happen if it starts to get rep after rep.

Xenoblade isn't as big and also, I think a lot of the Fire Emblem complaints just come with timing. Specifically Corrin and Byleth.

Cause like in Smash 4, nobody really complained about Robin and Lucina (well maybe Lucina cause "clones") and once Mewtwo and Lucas were revealed, everyone expected Roy because of course. Then Corrin happened, revealed as one of the last DLC reveals.

Fast-forward to Ultimate, Chrom gets revealed and everyone's cool with it and then Byleth happened, revealed as the last reveal of the first Fighters Pass after all of it had been third party.

I just witnessed one of my male cats trying to screw another one of my male cats.

I am so happy that my cat is so unafraid to express himself, but I don't think the other guy approved. Or... well, actually, I'm not sure. I think he was confused, he let it happen for a solid 30 seconds before getting away.

Hmm... Well, true enough. Yeah, you were saying this before, weren't you? How you were relieved the two girls weren't the last DLC characters because it meant they'd get less hate?

I have to wonder who the final character will be, this time. I doubt they want a repeat of the first pass's fiasco.

It was more @Lightchao42 saying this but I agree with the sentiment.

I mean, it was financially a success so it's not like Nintendo's thinking "let's not have this character be the last one".

Sakurai also thinks less about "this is a popular character" and more of "this character looks fun to play".

Sakurai likes to put Characters of a Series he is a fan of. It's pretty known he is both a massive FE and Xeno fan. He is also a massive Street fighter fan. All of which got reps in the DLC. So if i have to guess the last pick would be from something he loves as well

True enough. Money is all that matters. Heck, for all we know they might use it as a chance to advertise the next FE yet again. That would be absolutely hilarious.

He only adds anime swordwielders.

Y’know, I never thought about this, but Jeralt’s mercenary company™ were already signed on for a job in the Kingdom, weren’t they? Mercenary work would be like stopping bandits or protecting important people, kinda important stuff, and they just ditched those people. And he wanted to leave at dawn to get there fast, so it was probably urgent. Yet they were just left to their own devices after being promised help.

Why did you have to remind me of a cursed comic:

Spoiler

which has Garflied being similarly treated by another cat from the series namedNermal, all to fit the joke of "Nermal People", which was a pun on the hit book/show that was relevant last year because sex on our airwaves is enough to send people to call for the bishop?

Why?

(No it's not really explicit, I just found the joke awful.)

It's not impossible most of the company was sent off on that job while he escorted the VIPs.

It'd be nice to see that clarified though.

Well... alright then. Go that cat.

Not a contradictory statement. 😛

I guess that explains why they forgot about Porky from Mother to the point where he's neither a boss nor a spirit even though he was both things (well, trophy, but same principle) in past titles. Minor characters from Earthbound are in as spirits, but not one of the most important characters in the series.

Meh.

Jeralt's mercenary company is little more than a plot device to get Byleth to the monastery. They cease to exist in the plot afterwards, becoming nothing more than a nice battalion. It might as well have been just Jeralt and Byleth travelling on their own, for all they did with his company.

Kaga deserved better overall. I know he's a meme in the fanbase and it's basically impossible not to know about him once you've been in it for long enough, but that doesn't change the fact that IntSys have tried really hard to erase his name from history. That's really not nice.

Agreed.

I could care less what everyone else thinks. They're the same people that claim "too many swordies!" When there are tons of fist/feet bases characters and yet they choose to ignore that fact. Let them say what they want.

Well said.

...But I still hope no more Xenoblade characters get added, for the simple reason that I've two more chances to get the one guy I want, and Xenoblade characters is not it. Soooo yeah. Sorry.

His theme is still in at least. Though yeah, it is weird how he's just gone.

_____

This skirmish after Ch.23 is literally the most pointless thing ever.

It's your final chance to do the funny with Shigen. If you haven't, I would advice you go back and do it. It's the catch I mentioned about the Dullahan, you see.

Not yet but the recruitment guide in SF says I have until 24 until......wait.....oh I thought Sealed Bridge was more important battle.

Ok, reload the save state.

I hope you don't have to go too far back... The one that you get early for killing Shigen off is the witch. If this was a blind run I'd just let it happen, but on the other hand, I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on the Sierra fun.

Nah, I got a save right before I beat the boss of Ch.23.

So I just remove all weapons from Shigen and let him be Brave Sword'ed to death, right?

Well, considering you get that brave sword, I'd recommend waiting until the next skirmish. Bunch of gargoyles there, easy as pie to get him killed there. Might take a while though, he's a dodgy bastard.

Yeah, I was gonna do it at the bridge but he kept dodging everything and I'm not sure you can deploy with less than the maximum amount.

I do have that Smith's Hammer tho so I can repair the Brave Sword of needed.

R.I.P. 2 uses of the brave sword. Now you only have 68 uses. Better hoard it, just to be safe!

That Brave Sword should've had 71 used by default.
