I'm going to have to play it later in month since I imagine Xenoblade is one of those long games that you need to have your full attention on, and since I'm already playing a few games right now and since I wont be around from the 10th to the 24th, I'm going to wait until I have more free space ahead of me.

When that happens though, I'll post my experience about it here.

I could, but I already have/started XC1 (and am enjoying it quite a lot), so I'll just do something I don't normally and finish a game I own before buying a new one lol

Oh, I want it. I've considered it as a remote possibility for years, and last year about this time me and other family members concluded I need it.

But, professionals cost $$$ and that requires insurance, I don't have a job, and my family usually handles insurance-related matters for me. They're in charge of finding someone, they don't negatively react to me suggesting that I look for it myself, but I wouldn't say it's been a positive reaction either and they haven't handed me the reins. Free online chatter is limited in what it can do since such resources are limited and try to provide everyone with some help. I discovered that a few months ago when I checked a helpline for LGBTQ+ related support, they can't replace what insurance can get you. In-person stuff I couldn't access on my own, because I don't have a driver's license. I don't want to bother anyone by urging them to get looking more for me, since I know they can be busy with other things and deserve their downtime. When I'm normal, I sit around and play video games and hop online; when I'm depressed, I sit around and play video games and hop online. The lack of behavioral and expressive differences means they might not understand how deep it feels for me, and I try to put up a veneer of normalcy as well. They can't tell when I'm playing video games because I enjoy it, and when it's because I'm trying to run from thoughts of memento mori.

And so, I keep waiting.😔

Thank you and everyone else here anyhow! Powerlessness in life is normal.

And mind, I'm only good at expressing myself in the written word. Me trying to eloquently say everything I've written here IRL using my voice, I would surely stumble. What strength, what emotion, what significance of my mental woe would be lost, as though I fear my suffering would appear to be not so great.

Love that theme is just that theme you hear in underground Uraya but like.....ancient, if that makes sense.

There's also some Bionis Interior in there too, though i didn't catch it until i saw it in the comments tbf i don't want to remember Bionis Interior.

I think they may have altered the gatling attack O. Dio has, because I thought it only fired in the diagonal in the original.

Might have been screwed but for the interrupts I got.

Oh, right, I forgot where you live.

I can't speak for every professional in my country, but my own therapist has always cost somewhere between 30 and 50 bucks per session. A price, to be sure, but well, not outrageous and far from absolutely requiring something like insurance, I think. Is the situation for these things that much worse in the land of freedom?

Eh, I like his new line too. The "common currency" lead-up is a bit weird, but damn the voice actor put his soul into that final line.

Honestly, Live a Live has some of the best voice acting I've heard in a videogame. Granted, I've not played that many games with full voice acting, and I'm not someone who really cares that much about it. I don't miss it when it's not there and when it is, I tend to feel it doesn't elevate the experience that much. In this case, though? I absolutely do. Heck, the voice acting (and the script) in the part is so insanely good it gave me chills despite knowing everything full well. Kudos to all the actors, they did a fine job.

Much like Pogo impressed me in the remake by how much worse it was than I remembered it, Akira sort of redeemed itself in my eyes. While I still call it my second least favorite scenario in the game merely due to the setting and more traditional gameplay, that's rather unfair wording, because the gap between it and Pogo is massive. Akira was improved in very subtle ways, such as the staircase only needing to be done once, the more repetitive item stuff cutscenes being skippable, Akira and his attacks being buffed and the cheesy voice acting upping the ham factor enough that despite not being quite my thing, I still got some hype out of it.

And thus, I enjoyed it. Not my favorite, but it goes toe-to-toe with Oboromaru now. I might even flip the two of them and bring Akira up to fifth place by the end of the game. Oboromaru overstayed its welcome and I like Akira's cast better.

Yes, they turned it from an instant diagonal attack into a charge attack with far more range. Both approaches make it rather simple to avoid.

I can get why common currency runs a bit odd there, but if violence ain't a currency that transcends regions I don't know what it.

I got got by it once, because hes moves fast enough on his own that if you'd started a charged attack just before he had you could be in trouble.

Or Hollow Point causes him to be stuck in place for a moment.

Yeah, true, if he uses it at the wrong time it can be nasty. It's also been turned into a multi-strike attack with rather shaky accuracy, but I mean... There are so many bullets you're going to die 99% of the time anyway.

Something I haven't gone into but this game keeps reminding me, the item descriptions are the best.

From little character bits (Akira starts with a baseball glove which remarks on with him saying he'll never go pro but it's nice to dream), to silly lines (all of Pogo's are like "Blank is blank" or an adjective describing the item), so on and so forth but I can't go checking for items from maps I've cleared without restarting and that is not on the cards right now. There's some of that with the abilities too (Akira heals himself with Self-Care for instance).

Hard pressed to find something that does better with it.
