Some things I want changed about Pokemon...

This would be amazing, but I doubt this will ever happen. The closest that a Pokemon game has ever come to having more than one region is Gold/Silver/Crystal and later on, sure enough, HeartGold/SoulSilver. It would be pretty great, though. Lol, so much Pokemon.

I'd like one that isn't set in Japan with a few little changes. Along with the usual, faster battles, non-sucky entries to Pokemon Box/stadium and Pokemon Snap 2:Rhydon Safari edition!

Also I'd like to see less Pokedex filler crap of Baby Pokemon and a lower amount of legendries. Version exclusive, buy these crappy games excluse...is it too much to ask to actually be able to complete the pokedex without cheating or being an absolute tool :(

I kind of wish they could have more than four moves really. The game gets monotonous doing the same attacks over and over again. I mean why not 5 or 6? Give some more variety. I mean it's great they made it so you can go back and relearn old moves, and get rid of HMs, but still it'd be nice to have some extra moves to surprise the enemy with.

It's 2009, turn based RPGs need a bit of spicing up in this day and age.

Also a cool idea would be more characters to choose from at the game's start. I mean they made it so you can play as a girl, but really if they allow online play, why not have a few more choices? Or even a character creation? I mean I know the DS is limited, but it is fun to think about. If not a character creation, just a few more options.

The wii game has it if i'm not mistaken

I want a pokemon for wii much like DX or colosseum but where you can actually catch wild pokemon and not shadowy ones.

The whole "they look like crap" is a stupid excuse to hate the new ones. 151 is too small of a number of Pokemon in my opinion. I'm glad that more Pokemon were added to bring in some variety.

No it's a perfectly valid reason. Part of the reason many people like a particular Pokemon is because of its looks. Besides, most of them are just uglier versions of earlier Pokemon. If you aren't going to be unique, stop drawing. 251 would have been fine; then they could come out with a couple whenever they actually made some worth having and cut down on the useless Pokemon, and they could have spent more time balancing the game and finding more fun things to do within the game than making animations for those POSes.

I recall some Pokemon hardcore fans that are friends of mine telling me about an interview with the franchise's creator. I'll have to find it to show you exactly, give me some time and I'll look for it.

Anyways, he specifically said when asked if there was going to be a region out of Sinnoh, he replied, "yes. There is going to be a new region, and new Pokemon. We'll keep making new regions and new Pokemon until the series stops making money." So in other words he plans on milking the series until it's not profitable anymore.

Whether or not he's actually having a good amount of effort put into those new Pokemon, or he's just throwing something together so the series will sell more is questionable. Most people feel that because they're in it for the money, they aren't producing quality, just quantity. Yes it's true any anime series is made for money, but the writers and creators have a certain passion for the story. They love their own story and want to see others love it just as much. When they give up on the story and just go for more money, it shows, and the fans usually are disappointed.

See, that's the thing. I can see 5 moveslots breaking the competitive metagame, because then you can have Pokemon with a stat-up move and 4 attacks for both sweeping capability and coverage. Something like Infernape could only be countered by like, Cresselia. For defensive Pokemon, you don't have to choose between damaging attacks for coverage or STAB (opt to have both instead) or you could have one more way to fuck around with opponents. And then, for offense/defense hybrids, you're not forced to sacrifice much of either side, as something like Zapdos can retain coverage with 2 attacks, durability with Substitute and Roost, and Roar for stuff it can't take on.

I see where you're coming from, but I'm sure they'd have a way to make it work if they put some time and effort into it.

But about the topic, I seriously don't like how your character doesn't speak at all. He/she should get some lines of dialogue, but it's just like Nintendo to make main characters speak rarely or not at all. I also hated how you have to go to Nintendo events just to get some Pokemon. This wasn't much of a problem back in the first two generations as only Mew and Celebi were those two Pokemon that required Nintendo events to obtain (without cheating).

There's some other stuff that I want changed such as:

• The routes between towns/cities need to be longer
  
• Save points
  
• Get rid of HMs
  
• More RPG elements
  
• Harder generic trainers
  
• Customize your trainer

Tell me, what is stopping these people from liking these Pokemon?

Give me a good reason that they somehow have to stop liking the previous evolutions. People still like Pikachu and whatnot.

Also:

- Magmortar is an evolution of an already incredibly ugly Pokemon. Even the baby version is ugly.

- Electivire is a beefier version of his previous forms, but isn't a huge departure from its previous forms.

- Rhyperior has a pretty cool design. Gives the Rhydon lineup some much needed color while still retaining a look like his previous forms. A definite improvement since Rhydon isn't exactly "a cute and fluffy" Pokemon.

- Togekiss is still cute, and is actually an improvement over Togetic.

This leaves... Porygon Z and Lickylicky. Porygon 2 looks like a rubber duck instead of a mass of polygons, so Porygon Z is an improvement by being more interesting than a rubber duck. Lickylicky is definitely a downgrade, but honestly who actually cares about the Lickitung lineup that they have to gripe and moan about Pokemon evolutions getting uglier?
