  1. No kidding, especially since Nintendo seems to be taking Fire Emblem as one of their not-so-kid-friendly series already. I doubt a Genealogy localization would contain any real censorship in these days.
  2. "Nerf characters I don't use, leave characters I do use." It doesn't really work like that. Hell, Luigi is regarded as a better fighter than ZSS already. And yes, Luigi's down throw can combo into down b at kill percents. I've experienced this myself. I think it's possible to DI out of it, but the throw is so fast that it can still catch you off guard. In a way, Luigi is beginning to seem like the new Diddy Kong. He needs higher knockback growth on that throw so that he can't kill off of it so easily, but he'll still get combos at low percents. Depending on how much KBG it gets, he could still get follow ups from it, but he may have to read air dodges (which is fine, plenty of characters have stuff like that). But other than a few small things I think should be changed (the aforementioned Luigi down throw KBG, Ness' back throw, whatever Sheik might need), I don't think any more balance changes are needed.
  3. Binding Blade I could see happening. Unlikely, I think, but possible. The other 5? Haha. Ha. Yeah. No way in hell.
  4. Looks give me first impressions, but actually knowing the character is the real deciding factor. A good example is Sully and Sumia: I like Sumia's design much more than Sully's, but Sully ended up being one of my favorite characters and Sumia ended up on the other end. Then there's Jill, where I love both her design and character. Then there's Gaius, where I dislike both his design and character... Then there's Camilla, where I find her design laughable in multiple ways, strangely nice at the same time, and don't know her character so am reserving final judgement until further notice.
  5. Miiverse and Dreamland are definitely balanced stages for competitive play. The only reason I could see either/both being banned is if the scene decided there are too many of the same kind of stage, but I doubt that. The others are all no. Suzaku Castle is obvious due to players being completely unable to fall off the right side of the stage, and Peach's Castle and Hyrule Castle just have too much going on. They might have been legal once upon a time in Smash 64, but that was probably only due to a severe lack of stages in the game and Dreamland is the only legal Smash 64 stage in today's scene anyway.
  6. If you ever wanted to experience a good Micaiah, now is your chance. She's most likely to gain HP, Spd, and Lck with BEXP until one caps (lck is first). Give her Resolve and put her to work. Unless you really like Sothe and want to use him (lol who on this forum other than me fits that?), you might as well not bother with him. Statistically, he's good for that level, and BEXP would guarantee a Spd cap, but he's Sothe, and Sothe just isn't good past part 3. Hard to say where else it should go without knowing your team set up.
  7. I'm expecting one more fighter reveal, someone who won't be available until later. The past two E3's have had three character reveals, Roy and Ryu is only two. And they haven't yet left us without something further to look forward to. By that, I mean: -Mewtwo was revealed before the game's release. -Lucas was revealed before Mewtwo's release. Who it will be, I dunno. Wolf seems a solid pick, but I'm iffy on the idea of Sakurai revealing two veterans and only one newcomer at E3. Maybe the first ballot choice. Either way, I expect some kind of information about the future of Smash DLC.
  8. 35% being a non-zero growth means it can, indeed, go up.
  9. I'm all for a simultaneous release (so long as it isn't the result of a delayed NA release), but... this is, well, life. 5 times the work is a "lame excuse?" The idea that Smash and Pokemon have a similar amount of text to a typical FE, especially this one (given it is basically two games instead of one)? Smash? That doesn't even have text aside from menus and a few other things. Pokemon has plenty more than Smash, but still a lot less than FE, and is also, well, Pokemon (aka a marketing mega giant). I understand being frustrated that Europe typically gets their games after everyone else, but these complaints are illogical.
  10. Ah, yes, the Steam Summer Sale. The time where I add to my ever-growing collection of "games I think I'll like and hope I'll play some day." As far as your list, the only ones I'm familiar with are: Transistor - a good game with some good writing, though the combat system might take a while to really get used to. If you ever get used to it. Long Live the Queen - not recommendable for just anyone, as previously mentioned there's a lot of trial and error (and you might even want to take notes), but it is a pretty good branching visual novel. It's not on your list, but the Portal games are on sale today. If you don't have them, I'd say you should seriously consider getting the bundle. If your refund comes in time, I guess.
  11. I'll look forward to the game, but I didn't back it on principle. This is a big name creator with a lot of people behind it, and Igarashi even stated up front (somewhere, not on the Kickstarter) that he would need way more money than the Kickstarter goal to actually be able to make the game, a number that might not have been reached even with it receiving more than ten times its initial goal. This makes it seem like the Kickstarter was less for necessary funding and more to gauge interest so that certain important people would see it and be willing to fund the game. But that's not what Kickstarter should be used for. Kickstarter is to help smaller companies get funding for projects that they otherwise would have no means of acquiring. A Kickstarter like this only helps to confuse people as to how much it actually costs to make a video game, which actually could potentially hurt indie campaigns. On one side, I'm happy it was so successful, because it means a better game will come out of it. On the other, I don't think it should have happened in the first place.
  12. So I have this super friend when it comes to amiibos. He got me Marth and has landed MSRP value orders for Lucina and ZSS for me (this is after he got his own of each) and he's got extras of others. I have no idea how he does it, but it makes me happy. Now I just want Samus and R.O.B. I know Samus has been out forever, but I only recently decided I wanted her, and now that I do, no one has her...
  13. I remember reading once back when the show was big that more boys actually watched it than girls. I guess they just wouldn't admit it.
  14. How is that gender-tied? Plenty of stories with similar reincarnation ideas use different genders from time to time, such as the Avatar series, as someone brought up earlier. Nothing about the idea necessitates the gender staying the same from one reincarnation to the next. This doesn't matter because every Link is a different person. You know, the reincarnation thing.
  15. Hm, Peach isn't one I tend to find myself having a hard time killing with, at least not anymore than other characters. Her float helps her edge guard and a back throw at the edge can kill moderately early.
  16. If we were playing as the hero Linkle, I wouldn't mind a Prince Zeldo. However, she is the namesake of the series, so I think that one would be harder to work in well.
  17. Regarding Peach, I have a feeling ZeRo will say something along the lines of believing she could be higher but that she doesn't have results/no one really notable is playing her. She, Robin, and Wii Fit Trainer are the ones in his lower tiers that I could see being mid.
  18. Since Link is an avatar character, this is something long overdue. I get why he was male-only originally, but it's outdated now. And I, of course, would be pretty happy about it.
  19. Been watching these. If there's any single person whom I'd trust their opinion on a tier list, it's probably ZeRo. His list seems pretty solid and he backs it all up pretty well.
  20. How many times must I say, "Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you need to say it"? You have already made 1 too many posts pointlessly expressing your distaste for this. I'll say it now and I won't say it again: Do not post in here anymore.
  21. Holy crap, Tetra and King of Red Lions? They had better fucking be available on Wii U without getting the 3DS version (right now I'm a bit confused there). Now this shit is hype. And apparently more might be on the way? Jesus, how much are they going to add to this game? "I came to another topic to say I don't care." Leave.
  22. I'm not disagreeing with you, just explaining why people talk the way they do. The point about promotion items in the GBA games is another good point, though, especially since that's where the western releases of FE games started. Comparing units based on class meant more there, and it's very possible that the mindset held over, among the other reasons I brought up.
  23. (What the fuck, for some reason the forum is deleting the tag in quotes, so for conservation of space I just deleted the whole thing, but I'm responding to it anyway) It's a fandom-wide thing, and it's because units of the same class are intrinsically seen as the closest point of comparison for a single unit due to them sharing the same class attributes (most of the time) and many players preferring to fill their team with units of different classes (so they immediately compare units of the same class to each other as a result of wanting the best on their team). It's worth noting, though, that whenever someone says something like, "You should use this unit because they are the best of their class" on this forum, someone usually comes to say that it doesn't matter because everyone's goal at the end of the day is the same, so no one cares about the best General if s/he is still worse than the worst Paladin.
