  1. SoC saves the day again. Where would we be without you?
  2. Ha, no one who picks their side for just the art has any power over me.
  3. Does this mean there's a dude with a small butt named Rabbattack?
  4. He's doing them on request, and he hasn't done a ton. If he goes long enough I could see Dixie Kong and Daisy showing up, but I doubt he'll ever end up doing Vaati.
  5. Sigh...Yes, Ana, I know, but for the larger majority of his existence, he is not. Not only was this completely not the point of my post, but much of the actual point of my post was to tell people not to get picky about things like this, so I'd appreciate if you didn't do just that.
  6. It's the logical conclusion of what you said. What makes weather different from any other potential mechanic they could add in? Why would they fuck up weather specifically? You said you "don't trust them" on it...but you would trust them elsewhere? On what, and why?
  7. "Lord" can refer to one of two things in this context: 1. Literally, a character of royalty. Most FE protagonists qualify as this, as well as others, such as Lilina, Sanaki, Elincia, Lucina, etc. Ike does not qualify for this. 2. The protagonist and other prominent focal characters. These are the characters in FE games the story focuses on, are force-deployed for the duration of their story (and maybe some extra), and give a game over upon defeat. I'm pretty sure Ana is talking about the latter. And I'm betting Paper Jam knows this and is just messing around. "Lord" is just the term used for these characters because it was always their class until Ike came along. Everyone in the fandom knows how we refer to these characters, so please don't be cheeky about it.
  8. Raven has more than enough Speed to counteract CON problems. If you're comparing him to Bartre, Raven's Speed lead is way bigger than Bartre's CON lead.
  9. You're stretching more than Wii Fit Trainer. Unbreakable weapons would be more like Pokemon attacks not having PP anymore. Unbreakable TMs is more like if we had assignable skills in FE that can be given to everyone simultaneously. This is called "playing an RPG." This is called "playing a video game." Never mind the fact that the games are still vastly different in mechanics and presentation. "Becoming the same thing"? That's ridiculous. There are a few similarities. That's all.
  10. As long as it's with the ideas presented and not just a decrease in movement range, because that's just annoying and pointless. Buffs and debuffs to specific stuffs I could see working. So, what, you never want IS to try anything new? They'll just fuck anything up? Sheesh.
  11. Yes. Lol, I wasn't being that serious. I'll almost definitely still pick Nohr for reasons stated, but information obtained in those first 6 chapters could potentially sway me. I just found it kind of funny how so many were choosing for aesthetics or mechanics instead of immersion. Looking at it that way, people who aren't deciding until they actually reach the critical point are probably doing it the best by my own logic!
  12. The point is these characters joining your team. The story doesn't care how long you get to use them. But Awakening has plenty of post-game content anyway with its DLC and just the way Paralogues work in general (you can literally save up to 25 maps as free post-game content).
  13. Everyone else is saying things like "Hoshido for ninjas!" or "Nohr for Camilla!" You and I seem to be the only ones with an actually good reason for the side we're picking. Shots fired. For reference, this was mine:
  14. Ana, you're lucky Tang got here first. I would have warned you. What do people think of the game so far? I'm delaying buying it until I hear good things about it. I'm not sure I'll like it, so I don't want to drop $60 unless I can be sure.
  15. Considering this was announced for Japan...(it's the 30th in Japan now, though it wasn't when you posted this) I'm guessing, if this remains Japan-only, that it will be a fairly small direct with not a ton of information, especially with E3 coming up. I'll pass and read up on the info later.
  16. I like the addition of Gardevoir and Lip. Not so much the addition of Tingle or the lack of Wolf and Dixie Kong (and 4 reps for DK is definitely not too much). Not really sure about the likes of Eevee over Charizard or Mewtwo. Also not feeling three FE mono-sword users.
  17. All these examples being listed are more likely coincidence rather than influence, if some are even things that are new to If at all. Awakening had some of those. Demoiselle, Avoid +10, Outdoor/Indoor Fighter, etc. Having two skills per class probably just required them to make some filler. This is definitely not unique to VC.
  18. While it might have been the result of something very wrong, the truth is that my family in Nohr are the ones who know me and raised me. Regardless of anything else, they are my family and they are the ones I fight for.
  19. The obligatory. That thing hasn't been edited in years and I doubt even I agree with half of it anymore. This is news to me. I only mentioned Sumia in the other topic because I find most people see her as better than Cordelia. I don't think there's anyone I find particularly underrated, except maybe Lyn.
  20. It's been some ten years now, but I was in Europe during their hottest Summer in history (at the time) and my family was hit by the cold reality that many places don't carry much, if any, ice. But back to Smash, and I have a hypothetical I want people's thoughts on. We all know about the files for Roy and Ryu found in the game's data, correct? Imagine this: a year has passed and it is now almost June 2016. We have received multiple Smash characters, as well as some other stuff, as DLC, with more planned for future release, but none of any of that is Roy or Ryu (meaning not released or announced for release), despite the files still being in the game's code. What is your reaction?
  21. Javelins and Hand Axes really needed the nerf. It's a good change for sure. No more Jagens grabbing a Hand Axe/Javelin and soloing the game.
  22. Yeah, I could respond point-by-point, but I've said what matters most: Sumia relies on very specific strategies to maybe be better (I still think Cordelia is better as soon as she gets an A support regardless of whatever Sumia gets, and steamrolls her for the rest of the game). Cordelia is way more flexible and not so susceptible to RNG screwage. One situation (one that arguably isn't even the most optimal) isn't enough to make Sumia a superior unit overall.
  23. Um, no. That is literally impossible without grinding. Sumia has 5 maps before Cordelia shows up. At absolute best, she can have just gotten an A support. He doesn't give Str or Def, so...no, he doesn't? Dual Strike+ is good, but I don't really see why it's being hyped up so much. Cordelia is still going to have a high dual strike rate with her husband, and since she actually has Str of her own, she probably only needs one dual strike from her partner, if even that, to kill most enemies, while Sumia will need it twice more often, giving her lower kill rates overall. And then the underlying problem I have with your post here is how specific it is, because it sounds like Sumia needs Chrom to function. What if she doesn't get Chrom? Chrom certainly has better options than her (F!Robin and Sully). I personally think Frederick is a better option for her anyway, but Cordelia has every other male option in the game to cover whatever you think she needs. If you wish it, she also has actually good reclass options. Maybe, just maybe, in very specific, bottle-necked runs, Sumia can eek out a win. But Cordelia is so much more flexible and dependable that she should be better for 95% of players.
