So, one thing I noticed, once again they're continuing to emphasize that you make a choice at Chapter 6, implying that you aren't locked into a route upon getting the game like the physical versions in Japan. I really wish they would just outright say what it's going to be.

So basically it's Morgan all over again with the whole maid/butler thing. Oh well, that's fine with me. The way Jakob's personality was from what I heard, I probably wasn't going to like him much anyway.

I guess I'm one of very few who liked every voice in the trailer. Aqua's singing sounded just fine to me. Heck, sometimes I watch the trailer just listen to it again. I don't think the singer did a bad job, all things considered since localizing a Japanese sing is particularly difficult.

So, assuming I heard right, Yatogami is now the the Yato? If so, then that's perhaps the only localized name so far that seems odd. Doesn't really feel like much of a name.

Numerous people I saw all around here and other similar websites. It was like everyone thought that "if" didn't even sound like a real subtitle.

As I said in an earlier thread, this kind of reaction is hilarious. All you people were shouting the same anger when the "if" subtitle was first announced.

I like it honestly. Even more than the old name.

The Treehouse video used the Japanese voices.

Kind of hard to dislike Xander's voice when he only had like one line in the trailer and it was hard to hear over the music.

Perhaps it's because Nohr is the aggressive nation, so the siblings are more battle tested and promoted compared to the Hoshido siblings.

Sakura and Hinoka don't start out promoted like Ryoma does.

Man, those new animations are awesome. I especially like the new Knight animations.

Well, the "u" is usually dropped in translations since it's silent anyway. You pronounce Ryoma the same way.

So Dark Prince is now Nohr Prince? Interesting.

Probably would have been best if they just had it as a fictional language in the first place like with the Tellius games. Granted, that was backwards Japanese, but it was still exotic to both Japanese and English players.

I don't know. I think the English phrase has the same meaning. It's just not very obvious.

Where can I find this when it starts?

Honestly, I like Sakura and Elise much more in English. I'll take slightly older voices over the chipmunk voices in Japanese.

I find it surprising to see some trashing the Fates name. I seem to recall people thinking the the "if" subtitle was stupid when it was announced, and now it's suddenly being defended. We got used to "if", and we'll get used to Fates. Also, to the people who think Fates sounds generic, Awakening isn't any less generic.

Ryoma sounds like Matt Mercer. Looks like Travis might be doing Garon.

I pretty much expected a name change. I mean "if" is one of those names where it makes sense to the Japanese, but internationally, the average gamer is just going to raise an eyebrow in confusion at such a name.

So they even localized the song, and it sounds pretty good too. Well done. Awesome to hear the English version. Sucks that they're still sticking to 2016.
