  1. First off, I'd mention that Amelia's Ewan support prolly won't happen since training BOTH of them in a non-abusive run is ridiculous. Well, I guess Vanessa has supports (C Moulder/C Lute by now seems doable) meaning she actually has significantly better STR/SPD/DEF/RES when Tana joins. So, I think she can double more with heavier weapons and does more damage per hit with the same weapon. Availability is also a pretty big factor. Growths wise: HP: 50/65 STR: 35/45 SKL: 55/40 SPD: 60/65 LUK: 50/60 DEF: 20/20 RES: 30/25 The EXP gain gap isn't much to boast about, so within 7 levels, Tana will probably manage to tie HP, and then by promotion will come out ahead. STR, Vanessa's supports can keep her in the lead, or at least tied, as long as they aren't flying way out of the way to battle. SKL, lol. SPD, it takes like 60 levels to catch up, so even with the level gap, she'll probably never win. LUK, lol. DEF, Vanessa's already winning and supports keep growing, so she'll always win. RES, same as DEF, except she also wins the growth. So I guess you just have to look a little deeper for Vanessa to win. At first glance, though, I was definitely feeling the same as you.
  2. You mean the Shamshir's good on Colm? Yeah, she's not all that good for it. Putting it on someone else really allows for OHKO/ORKOs where on her it mostly just alleviates some suckage...
  3. UNLIKE Eddie, Mia's 2HKOd by most enemies? Eddie is 2HKOd by everything starting in 1-1. Mia's 2HKOd by ~1/2 of the enemies in 3-P, but has more reliable avoid and grows out of it MUCH faster.
  4. People really overrate Marisa. In an efficient playthrough, she'll do almost nothing. Getting her to fight anything actually requires us to slow down most of the time. The most efficient way to use her is probably to stick her in a corner and have her do nothing. At least Knoll contributes more than that. And if we say that we're genuinely using her...
  5. But they CAN do useful things. They are highest priority on Enemy Phase. And why do I care if someone doesn't get access to physics if I don't need them to thanks to phantoms? Plus we've already got Saleh, Moulder, Natasha, and maybe Artur who could already potentially use them. As for Lyon/Morva: If someone is 2HKOd, you can attack without risk of death. Also, phantoms let you run past the dracozombies at endgame. Okay, if Gleipner did effective damage and there was an efficient way to get Knoll to S Dark, he'd be a lot better.
  6. Because phantoms couldn't EVER do ANYTHING. Like, make anyone invincible from at least one enemy, or have a huge attack range, or allow us to distract a specific, very threatening enemy. For example, Lyon/Morva/etc. can do a lot of damage to you, but, in the event that they do too much damage to someone, Knoll can make sure they don't attack on their phase. Knoll would be a lot better if Gleipner did effective damage. IIRC, he'd have, like, 63 ATK. Seriously, I think IS made dark magic so crappy in this game to prep us for no dark magic in PoR.
  7. Really? Do any of them (besides Ross, who's got a good shot at not being in play) actually get as much out of it as he does? 20/10 GK Franz has 23 AS, 15 Duessel has 14. How many enemies does 28 AS double that 23 doesn't? Not too much. How much does 19 double that 14 doesn't? Probably a lot.

  9. I added luck, but not authority stars. Thanks. And I never expected it to make her amazing, but I wanted to see how much better she was. Also, I think that speedwing!Muarim might just be the best unit in the game.

  11. What if Lethe and Lyre had an automatic A earthxearth support, SS Strike, and formshift? This gives Lyre... HP: 47 ATK: 32 HIT: 120 CRIT: 15(bond) AS: 22 AVO: 83 CEV: 26(bond) DEF: 14 RES: 16 That's a pretty huge improvement. She almost ORKOs some pallies in her joining chapter (weakest ones left at 4 HP, strongest left at 13) and cleanly 3HKOs and doubles all of them since she can't be screwed. ORKOs Sages easily, 4HKOs Generals (wasn't she, like, 22HKOing before?) 4HKOs Dragonmasters(doubles), ORKOs Bishops, 6HKOs the boss. Also, a speedwing gives her 26 AS, leading to her doubling literally everything on this map except maybe the one SM. That may make her better for it than Haar/Titania, and she might be better for Adept than Shinon, at least if she gets the speedwing. Haven't looked too much into it, though. Defensively, the SM is the most accurate, with 55 HIT on her and a 4HKO (that could potentially go to a 5HKO). The Steel Lance Halberdier have 43-45 HIT on her and 4HKO. Steel Poleaxe Paladin 3HKOs, but only has 15.96 true hit on her. Elthunder Sages 6HKO at 35.7 true hit. Her biggest issue is the 3HKO at 56.29 true hit from steel lance Dracos, and something similar from some generals. But she's also 2RKOing them. Too lazy to look into Lethe right now.

  13. I definitely agree that on a non-efficiency playthrough, phantoms lose a lot of usefulness.
  14. Again, Knoll gets more out of promoting than anyone else. Plus, you don't seem to understand the usefulness of his phantoms. Either that, or I'm overrating it. I don't think it's been thoroughly tested. Maybe when I have more time, I can continue my playthrough.
  15. Knoll is, without a doubt, the best candidate for promoting. Yeah, Lute's better, but 20/0 Lute is maybe a 7 at this point, and promoted is ~8-8.5. Knoll unpromoted is, like, 1.5, and promotes to a ~5-6. He gets a lot more out of it, so he's promoting. Also, Marisa.
  16. I'm at 0... Also, if you go by the 9-11 CON system, being overweight WOULD increase it, since it no longer affects ability to lift weapons.
  17. So, in all of Zihark's part 1 and 3, he's gotten no EXP? He's trained because he's existed. She's untrained because she hasn't existed (enough to get much EXP, anyways). From that point on, they're trained, which I adressed. Zihark is NOT better most of the time because he's the only one trained. He's better most of the time THEY'RE BOTH BEING TRAINED. I UNDERSTAND THAT NOT ALL ZIHARKS ARE BETTER. BUT 99%+ ARE. <1% OF LUCIAS ARE BETTER. Plus Zihark is amazing for Part 1, and is better than enough people in part 3 that he's still positive there.

  19. I understand what you're saying, but... THE FACT THAT YOUR LUCIA ALWAYS ENDS UP BETTER THAN YOUR (UNTRAINED) ZIHARK DOES NOT MATTER. LUCIA WILL ONLY BE BETTER A VERY SMALL PERCENTAGE OF THE TIME, AND ZIHARK WILL BE BETTER A LOT OF THE TIME. SAYING OTHERWISE IS JUST WRONG. And my main point before was that you said that Ziharks' growths wouldn't always be better than Lucia's, and they will be. Whether or not the RNG favors him every time is different.

Assuming you don't hack (which invalidates this whole argument as we are no longer actually talking about the same units) Zihark's growths are always the same, and Lucia's are always the same. Growths are Zihark/Lucia HP: 55/50 STR: 35/25 MAG: 10/20 SKL: 75/70 SPD: 70/60 LUK: 40/30 DEF: 25/15 RES: 35/50 lvl 14 Zihark compared to base Lucia? HP: 36/38 STR: 21/18 MAG: 7/10 SKL: 30/27 SPD: 30/27 LUK: 15/19 DEF: 16/14 RES: 15/15 And he has the potential for an A support with Nolan adds 45 AVO. So, he can have 120 AVO, compared to her 73. He has 2 DEF to her 2 HP, and that means that after one hit (even ignoring his 47 AVO lead compounded by 2RN system) he will have the same HP, but still take less damage. They tie RES. Then, he does more damage per hit and doubles more (anything with 24-26 AS). He can also BEXP more right now thanks to his two highest growths being capped and his low level. That can actually put his RES in the lead, boost his STR lead more, and help his luck/HP catch up faster. Hers is a lot less helpful.
