There's still plenty to discover about the characters and mechanics in this game, so why not share anything you might have found that no one's really found yet? Naturally, I'm sure some things have already been found out, but not everyone might really know about it.
Ganondorf is a veteran that I never really tried out, but thanks in part due to the rebalancing in this game, he's become an honorary main of mine thanks to his contributions to my Challenges in All Star Hard and Classic 9.0. One thing I've enjoyed is the fact that he gets the Sword of the Sages in one of his Standard B Custom Moves. However, I got to thinking about Marth and his Tipper Mechanic, and recalled that the sword that Ganondorf has here is quite slim, much like Marth's Falchion, which got me wondering if it had a Tipper of its own. Well, thanks to some testing with Jotari, I've found out that it does, and that it's capable of Shield Breaking quite easily.Warlock Blade: Tipper Mechanics*A Normal Warlock Blade will completely break a Perfect Shield or lower with the Tipper, but will fail against a Perfect Shield if not Tipped. However, it will still break any other shield, even if not tipped.*A Reverse Warlock Blade will completely break a Perfect Shield or lower with any part of the blade. -
I've never meteor-smashed in my life. Save for the times when I've done so and they've bounced off the ground and through the ceiling.

Does anyone know if you could nab the StreetPass challenges in the PRACTICE mode? 'Cause there's no way I'm doing any of those, I live way out in the middle of nowhere, I have never, ever passed anyone with a 3DS.
You can indeed do the Counter Challenge and from the looks of it, the KO by hitting another token into another token. Five hits? No.

I know for a fact that Ganondorf is FAR better with custom moves.
I'm amused that his sword has a tipper. Granted, it is a rather slim sword, but still.

Ike's not the best character in this game, no, but through sheer determination and skill, you CAN win with him. A lot of people can achieve victory using characters that are not as good as other characters.
I just won two matches back-to-back in For Glory with Ike against Bowser and Princess Peach. And they were both pretty neck and neck matches. -
I'd say it's kind of bad, to be honest. In Brawl, I remember it being a lot faster, particularly I think if you held it down, I could be wrong. Here, it's a lot slower.

Good lord. Another twenty-five years? Makes me feel bad for any fans of the entire series that might be dead of old age by then.

It should help to keep KI alive as Sakurai wanted to for ages. But...they have over-presented it, because Sakurai made the game and is working on Kid Icarus Downfall for the Wii-U.

I finally managed to get 50 over my rival in Rival Smash thanks to Donkey Kong. Endless's challenge still sucks, though. I got to 146 with Robin. If I could ever get off Nosferatu I might last longer.

Yeah, I was equally as frustrated when I discovered this. :\ I have a hard enough time just getting to fifty, let alone getting fifty more than my opponent.

I got the guide myself. For the most part, it was pretty right.
Still sore that they printed the image for Yellow!Robin twice, replacing Serra!Robin with it. -

I've only had one match that I can recall where the lag was really noticable.

I managed to somehow win during an excessively laggy match. I do agree, Nintendo needs to beef up their servers just a whee bit, especially for a game like this.

Yeah, almost no one knows what unlocks what. Just doing versus or random stuff in classic is the way to go.
I got the Prima guide for the game (namely because it shows all the full-body alts, barring at least Serra!Robin because apparently someone dungoofed and put in Partner!Robin instead) and it lists the ways to unlock everyone, and it's been 100% accurate for everyone I've unlocked.

I honestly have no idea what just even happened at the end of the match there.
No problem. I just need to get better, apparently. A LOT better.
