I'd be playing this on my 3DS XL most likely if I don't get a New 3DS XL.
-
I like the GBA and Tellius FE games' artwork the most. Awakening (at least for the characters) are alright in my eyes, especially Cordelia, Lucina and Severa. It could have been worse (just look SMTxFE).
-
I'm all for custom moves -- we can definitely see something new with them.
Against custom equipment since they're too RNG-based when acquiring them (random stat modifiers and random equipment effects).
-
Updated OP to include recent patches such as the Mega Blastoise stage. I apologize if this violates the doublepost rules.

FUCK, it's two weeks before I can even get home! Meyerhoff Symphony Hall is awesome too!
I can agree with Meyerhoff Symphony Hall being awesome, especially since I actually performed there several times as a high school student.

I voted for Yay, partly because of the poll lacking a choice for something along the lines of "I don't mind either way."
As long as the game is available for handhelds, I don't mind. A fighting spinoff game would be neat for Fire Emblem to have -- reminds me of how hyped at least some people are for an official Pokemon fighting game.
-
Assuming that the game will have English voice acting, then only play the game with English voices (or voices of any other language that is not Japanese) if you're that concerned of typical Japanese terms (probably compounded with the Japanese voice acting).

My parents don't play video games, thinking that they're all for children, that I'm too old for them, that they're a waste of time and that they're all the same.

No luck on Gamestop due to server overload and it selling out. I eventually went onto Amazon to put my preorders on. (Importing though low shipping costs)
-
Voted for Lyn. Also selected "any other Fire Emblem character" since I wouldn't mind seeing Anna in Smash Bros. as a fighter.
-
So I just said screw it and decided to preorder from Amazon.jp. Ironically it was cheaper (with better sellers) for me to import from them then anywhere else on the NA Amazon site. I'll be getting Robin and Lucina anywhere from May 11-21.
I just took a look at that. Can you give me some help on getting the goods to be shipped internationally? (PM me if needed)
-
Gamestop had run out of Robin and Lucina preorders... and the employees were in the middle of getting my preorder in amidst the massive server lag when the preorders did run out.

To be honest, I'm pretty disappointed since the game is more SMT/Persona overall than Fire Emblem based on what I've seen in the trailer; the trailer pretty much told me that a game equal parts SMT and FE -- or something completely new -- is too much to ask for. As far as I can see, Fire Emblem characters are only making cameo/guest appearances (as possible Personas) presumably to promote SMT franchise. If that was Atlus's and Nintendo's intention, then that notion was poorly executed as besides Tiki and possibly Marth and Caeda, many of us are scratching our heads wondering where the heck Fire Emblem is in the crossover.
Before anybody asks, I tried playing SMT4 -- despite hearing that it seemed to be geared for new players, I, a complete newbie, got destroyed in like the 2nd battle in the tutorial, which turned me off from the game and, by extension, the franchise.
-
So... Tiki, Marth and Caeda are pretty much the FE characters shown (or FE-based character inspirations)...
Looks more like a SMT/Persona game with heavily redesigned FE characters for Personas from what I can tell.

I'd like it to be sooner as well, but the wait can be worth it!

Smells like an April Fools' joke. And if it were to be an actual thing, it would most likely be Awakening DLC.
Though nice to see that effort has been made to make it look legit.

Sry ^^;; first time using the forum T.T
Wow lunatic really sounds hard

Btw what's with the casual mode stuf... it's so ... UN-FE
YUCK
Wait awakening is the easiest???
Awakening is considered one of the easiest Fire Emblem games to date, if not the EASIEST, if played on Normal difficulty. Perhaps the low difficulty on Normal diffculty, especially with Casual mode (Awakening is the SECOND game in the series to give the option to remove permadeath) is a major factor in its popularity, being especially accessible to casual players and those new to Fire Emblem. (Many people choose not to play Fire Emblem because of permadeath.)
Lunatic difficulty however can be a different story -- and you have to beat the game in Lunatic difficulty to unlock Lunatic+ difficulty, which is more luck-based.

Chances are pretty good that it's fake since it's on April Fools' Day... a day that a good number of gamers are not familiar with.

The voice actress for Kirby also voiced Ness, Lyn and Viridi in Smash Bros. as well (Lyn and Viridi in the JP version). ^^

I play it sometimes though most of the time I'm on my 3DS, I play Pokemon Shuffle, Senran Kagura Burst and the Streetpass Mii Plaza games. Another problem is that my 3DS is unable to have a stable connection to the campus wifi no matter how hard I try.

Got my event jewel today. Nintendo must have noticed their mistake.
If you're trying to just S-rank it, get Extra Moves. They don't count for catching, but they do for ranking.
I'll keep that in mind.
And Version 1.1.6 patch is out now. Nothing really big.
(3/30/15) Ver. 1.1.7 has been released -- Rayquaza is now available as a special stage!
Anyone feel like Kozaki is the perfect Fire Emblem character designer?

lol, Shirow Masamune himself (he did artwork for Shadow Dragon) questioned the idea of Pegasus knights (like Caeda) wearing short skirts before he wrote off thinking that the Pegasus' wings would cover her... (commentary in an artbook of Masamune's works),
