  1. As somebody else said in the thread: debug mode god Kamui. (Not including spoilers) Okay. O-kay. Are you freaking KIDDING ME? 8 days. 8 days before the game releases in Japan, NOA spoils a big early-game event? Guess most of the cutscenes we saw in the trailer were from then. Also, serious question: was anybody able to catch of Kamui was a naive idiot like he was yesterday?
  2. Why did they have to change Joker's name? Nohr obviously has a cardgame motif going on. Really, I thought their names would be safe, at least. And what exactly happened to Harold? EDIT: NVM. Saw Arthur.
  3. I was lampooning how inflated Famitsu scores typically are; if Puzzles and Dragons: Mario Edition can get a 38/40, while Xenoblade X gets a 34/40,...
  4. THIS. Hopefully that isn't final. Or if it is, there'll be other, better voice options.
  5. To take what they said literally, who you start out with depends on Kamui's gender; nothing says one's unavailable (and we actually have screens floating around showing Joker and M!Kamui on the battlefield at the same time).
  6. The one who gave Awakening that ridiculous 9.6 right before she left and made me swear off IGN... Anyways, great analysis as always, Vincent! I'm glad we're not locked to Felecia or Joker as our "helpers".
  7. Probably cutscene pronunciation. Isn't his Japanese name pronounced as two syllables? It would make sense in that regard; it's not like there's an easy way out, like Liz/Lissa.
  8. "Leon" is superior to "Leo".

  9. Okay, was Rinka=Rinkah necessary? It's like Henri=Henry. And why is it now (Suzu)Kaze? And what... Marx... Xander? Couldn't we have Max, short for Maximus/Maximilian? (And if you're wondering, I'm not changing my profile name.)
  10. I noticed that before. What indeed...
  11. ...Am I the only person who actually has some interest in Metroid Prime: Federation Force? The trailer has a freaking 1/15 like/dislike ratio on Youtube. I mean, seriously, come on?
  12. I wouldn't put this past Atlus. I'm actually starting to be seriously convinced that's what they're doing.
  13. This. After a couple of re-watches, it's fine. The only thing I'd like to add to that is M!Kamui's voice (I really hope that isn't the default one...). But of course, the weeaboos are gonna' hate. It's way to soon to form any solid opinions on the dubbing; we've still got more than half a year to go. They could have easily just whistled a up a few people for the trailer, and what we heard is *gasp* not final!
  14. Yes. "Fresh from the Digital Event, check out the new trailer for Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright & Conquest."
  15. Dang it. Every time he says "brother" now... every time...
  16. Could you provide a link? The Italian E3 site flat-out doesn't list the game.
  17. This is incorrect. Miyamoto mentioned it and his other two projects on Time.com less then an hour before the 2014 Digital Event. Source: http://time.com/2850146/shigeru-miyamoto-nintendo-interview/
  18. Two things are really annoying me. First, it seems like Akaneia's the only world that's being treated like it exists. Secondly, despite the fact that it's going with Akaneia only and seemingly lowest common denominator, people in the West seem to be acting like "Caeda" and "Cain" are entirely new characters, if not outright ignoring them. As hesitant as I am to agree with him, there seems to be some truth in feplus's words when working off of these trailers.
  19. The only thing I found offputting about the English version was the initial reaction of "Wait, they dubbed the singing?" Anyway, for the most part, it's not bad. Just please tell me that's not Kamui's default voice option. It sounds way too deep. At least, like Robin, there's multiple builds; hopefully that is meant to represent the taller one. Anyway, as far as VA's go, Marx is almost definitely Matt Mercer. If I could, I'd bet $20 and swear to eat my shoes if I was wrong. Ryouma... is that you... Steve Blum? Not quite what I was expecting. Takumi is Ben Diskin. Most definitely Ben Diskin; that sounded exactly like Young Xehanort. Sure, Garon sounded hammy; he sounded hammy in the translations of the Japanese version. Now, my reception depends on whether it will wear off or be an epic of ham-and-cheese worthy of DC Douglas. And is just me, or did he sound like Charles vi Britannia? Really, I feel like there's too many knee-jerk reactions going around. Hinoka's and the one Kamui voice are the only two that stuck out; I'm fine with the singing, though I will agree En!Aqua sounds more like she's putting on a performance; a bit stilted (not much) and flat. Still sounded beautiful though. EDIT: Exactly. Look, I know Awakening screwed with us, but can the Fire Emblem fandom just have some optimism about something for once?
  20. I was just expressing my opinions. Shadow of the Colossus doesn't have a sudden influx; it's more that more people who have tried it in recent years (and say something about it) rate it lower than most seem to. It's a big empty world full of not much, serving as just a barrier to artificially lengthen a game whose only true substance comes from the boss fights. Coupled with clunky controls and a story that's somehow both minimalistic and confusing, I can see why. The Last Guardian gameplay... let's see: boy walks out into the sun. Boy says gibberish. Gryphon thing appears. Gryphon thing jumps gap. Gryphon thing catches boy. Plod along. Boy must save Gryphon thing! Boy lowers log and saves Gryphon thing. End demo. Uncharted has never interested me. And as I said, based off of substance. Just because Sony decided to put out a simplistic gameplay demo of a game that's still well off and Square got desperate enough to do the remake that "will be met with feelings of joy and fear" didn't really make it for me. Horizon looked cool, but that was about it. This, personally, is just my opinion. Now, Nintendo. Here's the problem: there were three major hype things that could've been emphasized: Smash Bros, Zelda U, and Xenoblade X. They took out Smash Bros. and gave it it's own thing beforehand. Zelda U got delayed. And because Zelda U got delayed, NOA pushed Xenoblade X back to serve as a holiday game (which I doubt will work in it's favor), meaning they can't start the hype train too soon. Really, besides the surprise English FEif trailer (I will still call it that) and the Phantom Revelations #FE (which is giving me the negative feels), there was nothing that stood out. If they had more strongly featured any one (or multiple) of the hype stimulators I laid out above, it would have been an entertaining conference. Instead, it was fairly boring.
  21. Basing off of substance, Microsoft still won. It had more exclusives (Inufane, Comcept, and Retro on Recore, RARE!), backwards compatibility, and the hololens. Sony's big things were: The Last Guardian gameplay (which looks boring and will no doubt end up like SOC where it's considered a classic for a decade before a bunch of people start pointing out that it's kinda crap), FF7 remake (which was leaked beforehand and from the sound of things is a timed exclusive), and Shenmue 3 (which is part of a very niche franchise that got canceled because it undersold; the kickstarter part is just plain greedy as well. Nintendo funded Bayonetta 2, for example.). Of course, Nintendo will probably have the most stuff I care about. Really, I hate the whole idea of some company "winning" E3. They're business presentations to entice consumers.
  22. Late to the party. The Microsoft conference was pretty good; the mention of the Domain in the Halo 5 demo made me squeal. Also, the backwards compatibility bit is humorous if you remember E3 2013. Square has their own press conference one hour after Nintendo's. Looks like I'm going to be busy.
  23. My tome is NOT the Death Note! What is that in the first place?
