  1. Not really. Valentine’s Day there is more about giving chocolates to each other. The characters are dressed like that because it fits the theme of romance and gift giving.
  2. While Mewtwo’s attacks not being PSI is really weird, what really leaves dumbfounded is the fact that none of Greninja’s attacks are of the Water element. I wish Spirits were like the Stickers in Brawl, as in they tell you what characters benefit from them.
  3. I think so too, but even so it’s weird that Greninja has no water element attack. I tried magic with Peach this time, and it was confusing. Apparently some her attacks with the heart animations, such as her Up Smash is considered magic, but her Peach Bomber isn’t. Her back air also isn’t considered magic despite the heart animation. EDIT: Peach’s Up air, the rainbow attack seems to be considered magic too. This is really confusing, so I think I’m gonna stop testing.
  4. Sorry my bad, I typed it wrong. Back on subject, I tried the Water elementa this time with Greninja, Squirtle and Inkling. Greninja’s foward smash isn’t considered a water attack, despite being a blade made of water, however Squirtle’s foward smash was affected so it is considered a water attack. I also noticed no changes on the Inkling’s attacks.
  5. Good idea. I’m gonna try it out. EDIT: I tried Mewtwo with Sagi primary and a Psyduck support, and I tried his foward smash and some other attacks. But there was no difference, so I guess Mewtwo’s attacks aren’t considered PSI. I’m going to try some others and see what I can find.
  6. It’s pretty confusing. And we can’t trust Auto Pick function either, because it never pick Water spirits for Greninja, which is really odd.
  7. Speaking of spirits, does anyone know how the “elemental attributes” of the character's attacks are decided? As in, what is considered a Magic attack? What is considered a PSI attack? Are Mewtwo attacks considered PSI? And I’ve heard that the Inkling’s Ink attacks are considered a water element attack. Does anyone knows a list where this is explained?
  8. Actually Rajainon does have good chances of appearing. If they ever make another Fallen Heroes banner, Rajaion is the perfect choice for a Fallen Tellius character.
  9. Actually, Smash seems to treat the Mother series with a lot love. Mr. Saturn is one of most prominent items, Porky appeared as a boss in Brawl, Lucas had his own arc in Subspace emissary and Ness had sorta of a prominent role in the finale, the sheer amount of clever references and Claus and Hinawa being the last dark and light spirts before the final boss in World of Light is very fitting.
  10. To be fair, Ness’s dad was really memorable, and his spirit battle is hilariously brilliant. Thinking about it, I wonder if the Absolute Safe Capsule spirit is actually a reference to Porky’s fate. That even as a spirit, he can’t leave the capsule. I mean in an interview with Shigesato Itoi, he stated that when the world ends 5.5 billion years later (when the Sun becomes a Red Giant and potentially destroys the planet as it expands outward), Porky would still be alive. So Porky still being in the capsule after Galeem destroyed the universe would be a fitting reference.
  11. Is it crazy of me to think that not all DLC characters will be third party? It’s because of the Mother series. Porky a major antagonist is conspicuously missing as a spirit and this year is the 30th anniversary of the Mother series, so wouldn’t it be fitting for Porky to be a DLC character? EDIT: I just noticed, but Giygas is also missing as a spirit. This is really weird.
  12. I would keep Ryoma and Linde as 5 star exclusives. They alongside Hector, Effie and Cordelia are the only lauch day units that still have a presence.
  13. Which is why I think Deirdre and Julia are perfect candidates. Neither are fast enough to take advantage of Desperation and with their high Res, Breath attacks would do little damage. Cloud Maiougi on Kaze did come to mind, but sadly I don’t have Summer Elincia. But that’s a damn good idea.
  14. It could be useful on a Raven tome user now that I think about it, but I really think the skill shines when fighting Dragons. Problem is, other than Deirdre and Julia is there another ranged unit meant to fight Dragons?
  15. I’ve got an extra Eir and I was thinking of her Mystic Boost to someone, but I’m not sure who. I was thinking Deirdre or Julia, but they both need Quick Riposte.
  16. Mostly because you’re only seeing the surface of the character? Your attitude seems to be cliche “she’s blond, wears pink dress and is a princess” so I must hate her. It’s kind of shallow reason, and it really bothers me.
  17. But how she annoys you in other games? That happy go lucky attitude is exclusive to Smash. She never acts like that in the main games. It’s the same thing with Mario and Bowser.
  18. In the Galaxy games she keeps sending Mario 1 Up Mushrooms. And in the SMW Bowser battle she helps Mario by throwing mushrooms. It might not be much, but it shows she’s not helpless. Peach is always helping Mario in the main games. Her being helpless is a more recent thing, with the “screw story” mentality.
  19. To be fair, I was talking about the Eir team not Winter Fae. Though I do see your point. That being said a merged Falchion user can deal with Winter Fae easily.
  20. Sure, she gets kidnapped a lot, but she’s never helpless, such as in Super Mario 3, Super Mario World, Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Super Mario 3D world. She did help in those games. Plus in every spin off where Peach is playable, she’s usually a high tier character. She’s a very competent princess. And if you don’t like pink or Peach’s attitude, how is it that the Fairy type is ypur favorite Pokemon type and Sylveon is your favorite Eeveevolution?
  21. I know right? I don’t really get the Peach hate either. She’s actually pretty competent despite her damsel in distress role. That aside, I more surprised that Ike won against a character with high mobility, then again Peach is rather light.
  22. Hell, a single Lyon with his Pfr tome and Triangle adept utterly destroys this team.
  23. There’s a lot of reasons why Peach is top tier. As it was said before, she has great combo potential, a lot of good kill moves and in a game where everyone has a bad recovery, Peach’s floating ability does wonders. That being said Peach is a very difficult character to use effectively and is definitely not for beginners.
  24. Speaking of Bowser, is it just me or does Bowser feels very small in Ultimate? I swear he was bigger in previous games.
