  1. I don't even think he needs Rend Heaven to kill things, and relying on procs to kill is really unreliable. He has really high strength and will mostly likely double with a speed tonic. Quixotic just kills his avoid too. E tomes suck, and they suck even harder when you have no magic and barely a magic growth. Since it sounds like you're using reward bonuses, He can one shot a lot of shit with Effie's lance. Unless you're fighting Generals or something really tanky, I think he'd do more damage with one shot of a javelin than two shots of fire magic.
  2. I know a lot of people use Haitaka just for Rally Defense, but the dude is seriously one of the best combat foot units on Conquest. Mine capped strength at 35 while like level 9 promoted it was ridiculous. He's like a faster and stronger version of Oboro that is a tad bit frailer, but has better skills. For OP, have him tank Hinata's goon squad on the great wall chapter, and have him go full offense as a Spear Master.
  3. Tellius wins all of these for me except: Manakete: Sacred Stones Shapeshifter: Fates Mercenary/Hero: Fates (Ike's classes count as lord for me) Swordmaster: Specifically Radiant Dawn Great Knight: Genealogy/Thracia Pirate: GBA Best Class only in one game: Vanguard
  4. Definitely this one. I just beat it so I know it's complete. The only glitch is the one little hang up at the end which is either gonna be fixed soon, or can be went around easily by switching to the Japanese version right before beating the final boss. The old patch has all the story text turn into a bunch of rambling bullshit around midgame that is actually really funny to read, but is completely nonsensical, and kind of hard to read.
  5. Sorry for taking a little while but here's a link to download the memory card used. https://www.dropbox.com/s/wle4ghgojh447kw/Tear%20ring%20saga%20memcard.mcr?dl=0
  6. I'm not sure exactly how to do that but when I get home I'll certainly try. Also he says "how can this be" when it hangs up. It literally happens right after the heroes do the super beatdown on the boss.
  7. I seem to be having a problem. I just beat the final boss. He'll say "How can this be" then I won't be able to move the text along. It's just kinda stuck there, so i can't even watch the epilogue or anything.
  8. I want to mention that some of the names of the towns on the world map don't match up, such as the city of Bladd still being called Bradd on the map. The same goes for Ocus being called Oaks, and Mahl, being called Marl, among others
  9. Some of the stat boosters still use names that were used in the old patch such as AGL+ instead of it being SPD+, or WLV+ when it should be something like Mastery+. I can't remember from which chapter these errors were from but I have a little screenshot gallery going that I'll update as soon as I see an error while I play through the game. http://imgur.com/a/OM3ii
  10. I'm not sure if it's for weapons also but if you use up a healing staff it'll still say "Heal was killed!"
  11. Thanks so much for all of your hard work! I hope now that it's fully translated, more people will start playing it and discussion on in can start up again. Don't let any misspellings get you down, if people can deal with "xcvxzdfgVulnery" from the Thracia patch, a couple misspellings is nothing.
  12. Mercenary/Hero all the way baby. It's got my two favorite weapon types, and there's not one of them throughout the whole series I don't like (except maybe Radney). They have very balanced stats in all the right stats (str, spd, skl, def) Great bases, growths, useful skills, flashy animations, and some of the most consistent best design in the entire series. What's not to love? Honorable mentions go out to Halberdiers, Berserkers, and Swordmasters.
  13. I think if you give Lana or Corple a magic ring that should do the trick.
  14. http://serenesforest.net/fire-emblem-fates/other-characters/growth-rates/ Just like regular units, generic units have base growths that are added to class growths.
  15. Do you mean buffs/debuffing? If so, those are the name of the game in most of the SMT series. Not buffing yourself or debuffing the enemy is a death wish in most boss fights.
  16. Awesome! The patch glitching out at the tower stopped my previous run, but I've been excited to start again. Thanks for your hard work, It's much appreciated!
  17. Get Haitaka, he can't support but has great stats and can rally defense. You can use him in the short term for a rally bot, or you can keep using him as a combat unit. His bases are pretty great and will gain good strength, skill, and speed.
  18. The same will happen if you have people A+ each other. Say if Laslow A+ supports Keaton, he'll get fighter skills as a Hero. If Keaton is a Hero, he'll get mercenary skills.
  19. I love the Radiant Dawn ones. The sound effects and general flashiness are awesome. You can really feel the impact of them. The only one on here I don't like are Awakening's, because it always irritated me that most of the classes just share a bunch of animations between them.
  20. Try Hisame. With Hana as his mother, it should improve his defense significantly, all while keeping weapon ranks, and cam get swordfaire naturally.
  21. This also works for friendship classes as well. Example: Laslow gets A+ support with Keaton, and Keaton passes fighter, while Laslow passes Mercenary. Laslow gets fighter skills as a Hero, and Keaton gets Mercenary skills as a Hero too.
  22. Personally, I'd say it has some of the best gameplay in the series. It really makes you look at your options and the difficulty comes from interesting skills and unit placement instead of just stat inflation. The characters are mostly good to decent. The story is poor, but it's really not the scourge of the earth some people on here would like to have you believe, I'd mostly say it just has bad execution.
  23. Rolf. He's probably the worst unit in Path of Radiance and still worse than Shinon in Radiant Dawn. I still use him though, he's the only kid character in the series that I genuinely like.
  24. I think you should. It's challenging, but not in a stat inflated way. The difficulty comes more from enemy unit placement, map design, and skills, rather than just all the enemies having high stats. If it gets too much, you can always change it to casual mode or lower the general difficulty. Since you say that you're new to the series, if you're interested in playing the older games, I'd say that this game could be a good lead up to that.
