  1. I'm having a ton of fun with this one! Stuff like the talk conversations between side characters is a great touch. I'm nearing 1-F so I can't wait for that. Keep up the great work! Would you be interested in seeing how some of my characters turned out? A few of them are pretty ridiculous.
  2. Good work! I saw this on Reddit and it was fun to watch. The most surprising thing to me was seeing Gordon be useful.
  3. I feel like fe3 has enough quirks that are different from fe11 and 12 that make it a bit of a different experience in how you play.
  4. I want to weigh in on if higher avoid is a good point for her. Ayra's is higher, but it's maybe not as much as you may think. In FE4, the avoid formula is (Attack Speed x 2) + Luck + Terrain bonus + Leadership bonus + Charisma bonus + Lover bonus. Let's assume they have no weapon weighing them down, and they have no other external bonuses. at level 12 ( Holyn's base level) on average Ayra has 19 speed and 4 luck, which would equal about 42 avoid. Holyn has 17 speed and 1 luck, so that's about 35 avoid. That's a difference of 7. after they both promote, Ayra has 26 speed and 6 luck, which should equal 58 avoid. Holyn has 21 speed and 2 luck, so thats 44 avoid, a difference of 14 avoid. At level 30, Ayra has 29 speed and 8 luck, which is about 64 avoid. Holyn has 24 speed and 4 luck, so that's about 52 avoid. a difference of 12 avoid. Unless i majorly goofed, Ayra hovers around 7 to 8 more avoid than Holyn before promotion. After promotion, it's around 12 to 14 avoid. As they fight pretty similarly, it comes down to if you think that 7 to about 15 avoid is more valuable than a firm defensive lead. The numbers used were average stats at the same level for both of them.
  5. Use Harken. He's got better strength, defence, HP, gets HM bonuses. a Brave Sword that is way better than the Wo Dao Karel comes with, and has excellent 1-2 range in the form of Hand Axes. Karel has a slight speed advantage that doesn't matter when Harken doubles anyway.
  6. Sorry i guess I should have mentioned that. Make him a Great Master so he can sling out rally luck like nobody else. Make Corrin a Hero (through friendship with Selena) so she can resume the regular duties of justice in place of him. Do +Luck -Skill
  7. Marry Arthur with priestess talent Corrin so he can be the irony master.
  8. I think having base weapon levels for classes like in FE11 and FE12 could be a good solution. Maybe a good reason to use Master of Arms over Great Knight could be something like having overall better weapon ranks or better ranks in different weapons. I don't ever think it would happen, but giving a unique class with lots of good weapon ranks to some slightly relevant shitty unit could really make it worth it to use them.
  9. I wish IS would realize that giving E rank weapons on promotion makes it near worthless.
  10. I say yes but only if it's an exclusive class. Training a really shitty Est type character could be worth it once they get those sweet promotion bonuses and weapon ranks.
  11. I will cede that her promotion is superior for giving Adept, and like 3 skill, but 3 extra speed is pretty superfluous since swords + pursuit means the both of them will double forever. On Astra, while it is powerful, so is Luna. If either of them activates the receiving end is gonna be dead either way, with Luna having the nice bonus of never being able to miss. The Brave Sword isn't a PRF weapon by the way. Anyone with B swords can use it. 8 HP, 3 Strength, 4 Defense, equal or superior growths in every stat, and being 8 levels closer to promotion > Adept, 3 Skill, and 3 Speed on promotion.
  12. Thanks! That's good to hear. I love using Merc/Myrm units. About Zayed, he seems pretty sweet. I saw a video of him clearing out an entire squad of enemies with just a hand axe. I think he also gets his own personal 1-2 range axe that's like the Pugi.
  13. Does anyone have an idea on who are units that are worth using long term? I haven't played very much since I can't speak Japanese, but so far Zeid, Troy, and Zayed seem really cool, and I've heard good things about Melody. I'd really like to know. Is Haldia any good?
  14. Midir might be the most underrated unit in gen 1. His offence is pretty good after nabbing Jamke's Killer Bow (he really doesn't need it to kill things), and Charge which greatly helps his offence. His HP should almost always be full for it to work since he doesn't really take counters. His high movement + canto lets him take potshots and retreat to safety, or just get even farther ahead. He's the ideal dad for Lester since he gives Pursuit and can let him inherit bows, while pairing him with Aideen is super quick and easy. Holyn might be a foot unit, but he's a very good fighter who is pretty much Ayra but better. She has maybe half a chapter more availability, but Holyn has better base stats, better or equal growths in literally every stat, and is closer to promotion. The only thing she has on him is a slightly better promotion, and Astra which is super overkill anyway. I honestly don't see how people can see Ayra as better.
  15. Favorite male was a tie between Hinata, Arthur, and Laslow. I vote Hinata just because barely anyone else is going to. Fav female was Selena I play as male Corrin usually, and enjoyed Conquest more by a large margin.
  16. Good stuff as always guys! I'm always looking forward to the next chapter.
  17. Depends really. If the boss didn't take too long and it's something i can easily circumvent, then yeah.
  18. Yeah it should work.. I renamed mine to Tear Ring Saga while I left the japanese file name untouched so it should be fine.
  19. Make a savestate right before you kill the boss. Switch to the original japanese version, kill him, let some text scroll, make another savestate, then switch back to the translated version.
  20. Hero, baby. Yato access plus high, balanced stats. It's also got those sweet aesthetics
  21. I think I memorized it a bit too well. I went back to play FE4 and kept thinking that i should use lances to kill mages and swords to kill archers.
  22. She's a utility character. If you want her to be more than staffbot, use her to safely debuff/chip enemies, or have her fight mages since she has good strength and resistance + her personal skill. She can contribute more than staffing, but don't expect her to be a premier combat unit or anything.
  23. I'd love to see Radiant Dawn remade. I think it has a lot of potential to be even better than it already is. Things like supports and balance fixes could really improve it. Though, I'm not sure if the IS of today would do it justice.
  24. Radiant Dawn: Skip enemy phase is the best thing to come out of FE12 No supports
