  1. It IS Adept, just under a different name. :P
  2. That's fine, but if you do that, you should put your previous vote as well, so I can recalculate more easily the final averages. ;)
  3. I played it twice at only a 3-month interval, and I'll probably do a 3rd run in the near future. However, since I only played it that amount of times, you shouldn't really take my experience seriously. ;)
  4. Oh wow, guys: Deirdre actually managed to rank even LOWER than Arden, with an abysmal 1.88/10 average, based on 16 votes. I never thought I'd even see that! xD Aaand we just wrapped up Chapter 1! It's now time to recruit a Lunatic guy before embarking Chapter 2, a guy named Holyn! Class: Myrmidon (Level 12) Holy Blood: Minor Odo Personal Skills: Pursuit, Luna Class Skills: None Stats: 40 HP (110%) 14 Strength (40%) 0 Magic (5%) 17 Skill (80%) 17 Speed (30%) 11 Defense (30%) 1 Resistance (5%) 1 Luck (20%) My thoughts: He's pretty much Aira, but with another, inferior skill, with less explosive offense and evasion, but with better survivalibity because of his better defence and HP. I honestly like them both a hell of a lot, but I have a slight preference for Holyn, because he less often caused me resets because of the unfair RNG. Besides that, they are pretty similar: they have the same class, kinda similar growth rates, great offense, not-so great mobility, kickass promotion gains, etc. etc. etc. So yeah, I'll pretty much give him the exact same score that I gave to Ayra, which is a great 8.5/10!
  5. Fairly generic, but I'm exactly the best at judging art anyway... Hmm... how about some FE4 fanart of your choice? It can be anything, really. ^^
  6. I'd say yes and no. Sure many of us will see it as a step backwards because what was possible for everyone in past games (doubling) now needs a prerequisite to do the same. But, at the same time, it gives a little more strategy when it comes to pair your units (#Inheritance). I'd also argue that this (along with the Skill system in general) gives much more personnality to units than before, and that's something that wasn't really recreated until FE9, with the return of said Skill system.
  7. Oh wow! It already listed as your favorite Fire Emblem game! That's impressive!
  8. ''Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War is a Japanese Super Famicom tactical role-playing game developed by Intelligent Systems and Published by Nintendo. It was released on March 14th 1996 in Japan. It is the fourth entry in the Fire Emblem series, the second Fire Emblem for the Super Famicom, and the last game produced by the late Gunpei Yokoi. It was released on the Japanese Virtual Console on January 30th 2007. The game was originally planed to be titled as Fire Emblem: Light Inheritors.''
  9. I love how this topic is not at all related to FE4 xD
  10. Aaahh yes, I remember this one! The portraits and story were really weird, but it was a cool concept none the less. I also really liked the character descriptions that you did for each character, they were quite funny! :D Not even. It's a A-Rank tome...
  11. For what is probably not the last time for this series, Jamke got a lot of positive and negatives votes. Thus he got an average of 5.57/10 with a pool of 15 votes. Yep, the pattern is still true. :) Time to wrap up chapter one. By going deep into the annoying Spirit Forest, we meet up with the ultimate plot device of the game, Deirdre/Diadora! Class: Shaman (Level 3) Holy Blood: Major Naga, Minor Loptousu Personal Skills: Nihil Class Skills: None Stats: 26 HP (70%) 0 Strength (10%) 14 Magic (70%) 9 Skill (20%) 12 Speed (10%) 3 Defense (10%) 16 Resistance (70%) 6 Luck (10%) My thoughts: She is useful... ...for silencing Sandima and reducing the knight's HP in Chapter 2, if she can even be with your army at this point. That's it. Even if I do find her cool story wise, she is terrible as a unit. Good bases in Magic and Resistance, but terrible everywhere else. And the same applies for growth rates, but HP is not bad I guess? Whatever. On top of that, she has absolutely no means of double-attacking, and even then, the only Light that she can use - Aura - weights 20, so it would just be useless. But, her biggest flaw is that she is unmounted, which creates two flaws in her case: not only is it super difficult to keep up with only 5-movement, but even then, it renders her Nihil skill useless, because she does not have a horse! Really, the only contender I can think of for being worse is Arden, and even then, he has much more availability, cause he's here for the whole generation. Diadora? She's there for the end of Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and then, she only can use the arena and sell her stuff in Chapter 3, only to be captured and never to be seen again! Wow. I'll give her a 1.5/10, because that's honestly what she is as a unit. Still, I like her character, at least...
  12. Not nice. Not at all. You should never, NEVER, shame someone for having a different opinion of yours. What's even worse is that you also shamed the way that he/she (in that case, she) defended her opinion. That's just very mean and disrespectful (well, unless the person used offensive insults) and should not be done whatsoever. Also, double-checking your spelling here might be a good idea. :p
  13. Ooh boy! It's almost time for the greatest boss theme in the whole Fire Emblem series - at least, in my opinion! ^^ The fight itself is pretty cool too! (How the hell did Finn got Magic this late in the game...?)
  14. Niiiiiice! :D You also nailed pretty well the clichéd style of someone telling a medieval story, while still using a ''normal'' choice of words. I really like that! ^^ *ahem* Anyway... -------- The ''generic healer'' archetype of FE4 received an exact average of 6.5/10, without any decimals whatsoever! Once again, many thanks to all 15 voters who participated this time around! ^^ So, what's next? It's time for the only prince that doesn't have any Holy Blood, Jamke! Class: Archer (Level 6) Holy Blood: NONE (I should double-check my facts :P) Personal Skills: Continue, Charge Class Skills: Pursuit Stats: 36 HP (90%) 11 Strength (50%) 0 Magic (5%) 14 Skill (10%) 14 Speed (30%) 9 Defense (30%) 0 Resistance (5%) 4 Luck (40%) My thoughts: Even if Briggid exists, Jamke is my favourite bow-user of the first generation. To start off, he has some excellent base stats for his level, most notably in HP, Skill and Speed. As for his growth rates, they are a bit strange: he'll get lots of HP for an archer, and his Strength and Speed will compliment really well his deadly skillset. Speaking of which, he has probably the potential to do the most attacks possible in one round of combat, because of the holy trinity that is Pursuit, Continue and Charge. Sure, it's a shame that Pursuit will never be passed down, but who really cares when you can be a monster of arrows? To compliment all of this, Jamke also comes with the epic Killer Bow: this weapon is very light, is devastatingly accurate and even has the Critical Skill in it. Sadly, the latter is not in good synergy with his pathetic Skill growth of 10%, so he won't do critical hits all that much, but his good base stat will carry him quite far, at least! Still, despite having quite the kickass offence, Jamke is still a foot-locked bow-user, which means that his enemy phase combat is next to nonexistent (though he'll dodge fairly well because of his Speed) and that he might not reach combat in time, although it's not as much of a problem here, since he can attack in 2-range instead of one. But for me, Jamke is still an absolute powerhouse on the battlefield, and even without his Killer Bow, he'll still do really well in your army. I'll even be extra generous and give him a 9/10, even if this means forever shaming me as a casual player. xD Dare I say that I found him even better than Takumi from Fire Emblem Fates?
  15. 80s hair, Pink and Green. I like that! ^^ Mybe we should give stupid nicknames like that to the whole FE4 crew. :P
  16. Once again with 18 votes, Dew got out of this poll with a 6.03/10, because he is yet again a polarizing foot-locked unit. I can definitively see a pattern here! ;) Let's now cover up who is probably the ultimate definition of a staffbot in the Fire Emblem series, Aideen! Class: Cleric (Level 3) Holy Blood: Minor Ulir Personal Skills: None Class Skills: None Stats: 28 HP (70%) 0 Strength (20%) 13 Magic (30%) 6 Skill (20%) 8 Speed (30%) 1 Defense (20%) 11 Resistance (5%) 9 Luck (60%) My thoughts: Really, I'd just like to stop right here and give Adean a staffbot/10, but that might be a bit harsh, so i'll just be quick instead. *ahem* Aideen got pretty much everything you would expect from her class, both in bases and growth rates: high Magic/Luck/Resistance, poor Defense/HP, average everything else. But, as a twist, she has a sorta-ish decent Strength growth because of having a physical kid, Lester. So there's at least that for originality. However, even if she ends up with good Speed, she will not be able to fight well after promotion, because she has absolutely no skills whatsoever, which is kind of a bummer. :/ However, despite her low movement, she does do her job well: healing. And that's pretty much what she'll do to gain experience rather quickly. So yeah, I can't say that much about her, so I'll just stop and give her a pretty generic 6.5/10, because she's just unremarkable - at least, as a unit...
