  1. @mampfoid You always manage to make these look easy! It’s nice to see Velouria’s prf come in handy, and Roy continues to shine. @Nanima I always love your bird tribe clears! Especially watching Reyson put in work as a fighter. Your clear is extra impressive considering how long you left Eliwood alive, because that bonus doubled gimmick is brutal. @Jave Nice job! It’s great to see a unit like Veronica using her natural weapon and not a Bladetome to destroy her foes. Good luck with Abyssal if you give it a shot! This map and gimmick is awful...I was stuck on Infernal for a while until I saw someone suggest basically throwing Celica straight to Eliwood (because goddamn the bonus doubler on basically all the starting units is brutal). After that, Infernal was a piece of cake and I even cleared Abyssal on my first try without having to change a thing (though that’s more because Celica plus three dancers is amazing not because it’s an easy map). It’s not much different than @LordFrigid‘s clear but I’m still proud of figuring this out so im still sharing it. Legendary Azura is amazing and she’s a lifesaver for maps like this, but New Year’s Azura is still probably my favorite dancer to use (and the map layout and unit formations made her perfect to help).
  2. Got pity broke by Ephraim (also Lucina, but she was much more welcome since my other copy is -spd and this one is +atk) on the hunt for Yune and uh...yikes. Sturdy stance is on a free unit and fortify defense is just sad. Wouldn’t’ve used him anyway (especially with -atk) but he’s not even useful fodder
  3. Oh no...Laegjarn’s a mage flier...with a high hp desperation tome...gorgeous art (lack of arm bones aside)...and freaking SWIFT SPARROW FOUR. Yune coming back next week is about the only thing that’ll stop me from spending all my orbs tomorrow, that and the fact that Laegjarn’s blue and I already have four blue tome fliers (now if she’d been green instead...) Not really excited about free Ylgr but tbh that was inevitable no matter which OC it was.
  4. I really want to, but she comes at a bad time. I’ve been trying to save up for Yune and Sonya and since I don’t have either they’re a bigger priority (especially Yune). One of these days I’ll get a +atk or spd Celica... I feel your pain; my Lethe is -atk. Every time I see a Tibarn in action I want one more and more. Maybe soon I’ll start doing clears with my beast (well, beast/dragon) team, but the lack of ranged weapons has me hesitant. Hopefully you’ll eventually get to do a beast one turn clear!
  5. @Nanima Nice, the raventome user was only a mild inconvenience for the Takumi squad. They took a few hard hits but this is another Infernal down for them! Nice job! @Alexmender I gotta say as I was watching you set up I was like “I bet he could just throw Eirika in the middle of everyone and she’d be just fine” and sure enough! She made yet another Infernal mode look like a cakewalk. @mampfoid I’m so glad you used Galeforce Airzura again because that’s always so fun to watch! I see Velouria’s weapon being very useful in the future for these. Had to change Micaiah’s skills to get a few kills (and a few dragon flowers because she was exactly one attack short the first time), but really this wasn’t bad. I haven’t used infantry pulse in a while. What do you mean there were more reinforcements 😉 Cherche doesn’t do much but she’s a really great taxi.
  6. Free pull was a 4* Gunter so that was very meh. But my first summon ticket gave me a Yarne! And he’s +atk/-spd so I won’t feel guilty at all about feeding him to someone for his atk/spd solo after I do his ordeal (probably Lethe for nice weapon synergy and to help her since she’s -atk). Not sure what color I’m gonna pull with the rest of my tickets now...Yarne had the fodder I wanted but I’d like to at least try for someone else, but Kjelle’s the only character I’m even somewhat interested in but I really hate armor units and she’s got nothing that really interests me enough. I guess I could go for Nah and the bonus doubler because that seems fun to mess around with.
  7. Elincia’s refine...so simple but so beautiful! A movement based refine would’ve been fun and unique but as someone who regularly uses her for her offense I couldn’t have asked for anything better
  8. Very easy skip thank god, and the only character I’m even remotely interested in is the GHB. Now I can focus on saving for Yune! Gonna free pull green though on the off chance I can get a free atk/spd solo
  9. Elincia’s been at the top of my refine wishlist for a while now, so I’m excited she’s getting a refine! Even if the added ability isn’t great a stat refine is always nice.
  10. @mampfoid Awesome move having Azura get a kill before singing Cherche! Also Cherche fears nothing and it’s amazing. @Nanima I love a good Laguz clear, and your birds made this look easy! I love watching dancers actually take out enemies, and it was super satisfying to watch him defeat Naga. @Alexmender Wow...just wow. I felt like this was pretty difficult even for the Abyssal maps, but Eirika made it look like a walk in the park. Nothing even comes close to taking her out! Great clear! This one was rough and took every last merge and dragon flower and support Camilla had, but they did it! I couldn’t believe that Camilla could still survive the green dragon on Abyssal (I’d used him to trigger WoM on the previous difficulties too), and I definitely couldn’t believe that Heavy Blade gave her just enough fire power to actually one round him. Bladetomes are one hell of a drug! I should probably water bless this team for the Abyssal maps that happen during water season, but I can’t bring myself to officially kick F!Grima off the team.
  11. Easy skip, but with Yune’s rerun next month I appreciate the chance to save orbs (well, if the bridal banner would give me something). I’ll free pull either blue or red and that’s it.
  12. @mampfoid I like the redhead theme you’ve got going on. Nice to see that Galeforce on Summer Cordelia, nice job! @Nanima Another easy clear for the boys and princesses! Great clears! This is Marisa’s first big fight since getting +10ed, but she doesn’t really do much here. Overall this was a very easy bound hero battle. In fact, I managed to do my second ever true solo! Okay so maybe Marisa repositions her at the very beginning but it’s close enough right? She’s not benefiting from any support skills or her ally support or Micaiah’s usual Chill Resistance to soften enemies/manipulate Nanna’s movement (since she does prioritize using restore if someone needs it). Really the toughest part was manipulating the upper enemies’ movements so that Celica could take out the lance cavalier without being in Leif’s range and boosting Micaiah’s resistance high enough so that Nanna attacked Celica instead of her.
  13. Just when I’d let myself forget how annoying Flora was in her tempest trial... On the bright side I’m so close to finishing all the currently available chain challenges, just gotta do the newest ones on normal and the last two sets on hard.
  14. Four new characters with an alt before their regular version gets in? Lovely. Fjorm has some interesting stuff, though it’s weird that she’s gotten two alts so close together as an OC. I do like the swift sparrow weapons though! I’ve never played their game, but I’m glad that they kept Pent and Louise together!
  15. @Nanima Your Fallen Takumi is very impressive! He had no problems dealing with Delthea. Great clear! @mampfoid Wow, that speedy Hector was a nice surprise! Then again, you love showing off fast builds for slow axe units. I like how Lucina started your clear and finished it. @Alexmender You really were close to being able to do it in one turn! One day you’ll get that null c disrupt, maybe in time for this re run I feel like this map would’ve been harder if it wasn’t so easy to split up the enemy and if they didn’t come to you. Piece of cake, and with the apology grails we’ll be getting I should be able to finish Marisa this week!
  16. Spent my whole orb horde that was supposed to be for Yune only to end up with a -atk Flora and a -spd Mareeta. At least it was Flora (someone I didn’t have and how I eventually wanted) who pitybroke me the first time and not someone I already had, and hopefully a seal can patch up Mareeta’s speed a bit. I also got a Bow Hinoka from one of my tickets! I already have her, but I’ll never say no to atk/spd bond and flier guidance could be fun to give someone.
  17. I couldn’t’ve even told you what game Mareeta was from before twenty minutes ago, but she’s still the person I want most. I don’t need another infantry sword unit, but her weapon looks amazing especially combined with her a skill! I don’t really care for any of the others even if Corrin’s art is nice (Berkut’s looks super creepy though and Rinea in his sprite is an excellent touch). I am excited for Delthea as a grand hero battle! I doubt she’ll have any skills as nice as the others, but it feels like it’s been a while since we’ve gotten a ghb mage, especially an infantry one (other than Aversa, I think the last was Julius maybe?)
  18. We’ve already got a general aether raids topic, but I feel like we could use one focusing on defense teams. Want to get feedback on your setup or show off your awesome team or even just check out what other people are doing with theirs? Then here’s a place for that! I’ll start. The basic idea is to lure the enemy into either trying to bait Cherche or to bait Ophelia, and with Ophelia’s reputation and the benefit of a defensive tile on the left a lot of people stick a bulky red or green in front of Cherche, which is exactly what I want. You’d be surprised how many people miss her Guidance seal only for Micaiah or Celica to swoop in. Because panic is everywhere the only visible buff is the Hone Fliers Cherche gets from Azura, who yes is there to provide singing support but is more there to buff Cherche (hence part of why it’s her and not her legendary counterpart). The biggest weakness here is Celica. Not as a unit but where she starts. She’s in the perfect position to cover Ophelia if a green tries to tank her and so that she’s still in Guidance range, but she’s also the easiest to initiate on once the obstacles are destroyed. Still, I’ve found a lot of success with this setup. Feel free to share your own defenses teams, serious or just fun!
  19. Is there anything more satisfying than seeing a 5 enemies defeated defense win just to see that those enemies were a +10 Reinhardt, a Veronica, Firesweep Brave Lyn, Legendary Azura, and Caineghis (and with no fort advantage on your side)? Because that felt really nice.
  20. Wow, I was not expecting the Allegiance Battle quests to reset (I thought they’d just be a first week thing in honor of Golden Week). Got a Brave Celica that didn’t have a better asset than my current one, so Death Blow 4 for Cherche it is! Maybe I’ve just been really lucky but this has been an amazing Golden Week
  21. ...Is it weird that I kinda want to give Leanne distant counter? Everyone I have with higher resistance either already has it in some way, isn’t gonna be used any time soon, or is a mage/dagger user. Her team does struggle a bit with mages (Idunn has great resistance, but her movement and speed hurt and I don’t want to give up her fortress def/res for distant counter), but her attack does leave a lot to be desired, and I should probably save it for someone that wants it more...on the other hand, I love Leanne and I love having refreshers that are actually combat ready. I was thinking of pairing it with distant guard on her. Any thoughts?
  22. @Nanima That bird Laguz mobility worked amazingly well, and the healing from both herons kept everyone nice and healthy! Way to make a tough map look easy. Alm himself is a huge pain and the wall made maneuvering a little difficult, but overall it’s not the worst Abyssal map ever. I feel like the reinforcements weren’t anywhere near as bad as some of the others, and I appreciated the only armor unit not having a fighter skill. The distant guard blue mage was a huge pain though. I feel like the hardest part was figuring out how and where to get Camilla into wings of mercy range (and boy did I cut that close). Most of it fell into place after that without too much trouble, but damn Alm’s speed was painful.
