  1. Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles

Crystal Chronicles is a game that I will always be fond of, even though I discovered it way later. The later games and spin-offs were okay, but none could match the original game for Gamecube. It's a shame that the franchise died with Crystal Bearers back in 2009; I always found the themes of family and memories to be interesting in the series, as well as the music.

World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King

Okay, it's technically a cinematic trailer, but as far as I am concerned it is the "opening" to the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Blizzard has a habit of having great music and cinematics with amazing graphics, and combined they make memorable cutscenes. The story of Arthas as well as the expansion itself is memorable for me as I mainly played WoW during this era and a little during Cataclysm, the next expansion.

  2. Ogre Battle.

I know everyone seems to love Final Fantasy Tactics to death, but I dare say FFT killed off the Ogre Battle franchise. There was so much more I wanted to know about the Ogre Battle world, and would have loved to see a modern version of Ogre Battle. This includes the SNES & N64 gameplay as well as the tactics variants. The designs, the music, the story... Ogre Battle 64 is my favorite game of all time. It would be awesome to see a "modern" Ogre Battle 64, but I guess that will never happen...

Other games I would like to see return is Grandia (I only played the second, but I loved the battle system) and Skies of Arcadia. Granted, Skies of Arcadia can be considered a one off since one explores the entire world, but if Bravely Default can get a sequel, maybe Skies can do the same thing.

I would also say the Command and Conquer franchise, but aspiring modders and fans seem to have those bases covered. I don't think I can trust the big companies to do the games justice after EA screwed everything up.

Warcraft RTS, specifically Warcraft IV. Let Warcraft IV continue where Warcraft III left off and leave the WoW and expanded universe stuff out of it. Then again, Blizzard's stories have been getting weaker over the past few years, not to mention the over reliance on lore outside of the games themselves to explain events. Still, I'll watch Pixar's Blizzard's Overwatch shorts.

Advance Wars. I would like to see its glorious return. While the Days of Ruin artstyle I had to adapt to, the gameplay and editor was amazing. I want to go back being a kid and messing around in the editor, making up little stories on why these conflicts take place and stuff...

  3. Just marathoned through Stein's Gate Anime (dubbed), after watching a full LP of the Visual Novel. Afterwards I even saw the IBM-sponsored shorts, the OVA that follows the anime, and then movie (subbed only) that follows after it. Speaking of the movie, I was going nuts when they included two short nods to the VN that was not included in the anime (one was a character's ending and the other is how things happened in the VN instead of the route the anime took). I loved all of the science and geeky references they talked about as well.

Stein's Gate is a slow start, introducing characters and fleshing out the world as the team gains momentum with their time machine, Phonewave (name subject to change). Once it is fully operational, the series transforms into something else entirely. You know the characters, so now prepare for the feels for what comes next. Stein's Gate Zero, from what I hear, may even outclass the original, so I look forward to it coming out as an anime. Stein's Gate needs to be watched in its entirely to be fully appreciated, but if one has doubts, the roller coaster ride starts around halfway through.
