  1. Royals. A prince of one country and a princess of a different one.
  2. Michalis is an axeman, right? Then I imagine Palla might help (shame I don't think her Ruby Sword will be ready in time). Depending on what generics are tagging along, I think one of my Robins has a spot, and as typical for a Grand Hero Battle, Lissa is a must. With her newfound ability to be Wrys, I don't think Lissa will ever be absent from my roster.
  3. Potentially four Iote's Shields... Tana and Elincia may not have to fear missing out. Is Perth starting 9:00pm?
  4. So I've been writing a story, and have managed to encounter a situation that seems somewhat curious. Basically, two characters are descendants of legendary figures who were siblings, and proceed to fall in love. When they realise their ancestors were siblings, they instinctively get concerned about being related. Naturally, falling somewhere between thirtieth and fortieth cousins can't really be considered 'related', but it does bring up an interesting question regardless: does a relationship where you can trace a common ancestor from hundreds of years ago seem squicky? Should it?
  5. ...Wasn't it already a secret attack? I don't recall it ever being mentioned outside of FE9's base conversations.
  6. ...Honestly, my preference for the Triangle Attack (if they bring it back) is mainly that it can be used to help out an Est-type character when they're still dealing low, inaccurate damage. FE6's Armour Triangle clearly tried, but it hardly helps Gwendolyn.
  7. ...Eh, in Sacred Stones, Syrene is hardly worth anything but being TA fodder. I used her once as a curiosity and once because I was doing an All-Girls run. Then again, most people like to change the good pegs into wyverns, and that complicates the Triangle Attack way more than necessary.
  8. I've used it repeatedly in two of my four playthroughs of Sacred Stones, and the only reason I haven't in Blazing Blade is because I haven't recruited Farina yet. From a non-biased perspective, maybe a Triangle Attack with characters of different classes, like Tellius's three brothers (Sniper/Warrior/Paladin) might be more widely appealing.
  9. Princess Tana: My ultimate pegasus knight of destruction. The Caeda+Whitewing thing was just a distraction until the big guns came in. Queen Elincia: ...I don't feel comfortable without a healer, and with this, my winged team (with an Iote's Shield) could easily be my main team. Ishtar: My favourite mage, quite possibly my favourite character, and probably not going to be the focus of a Focus, so I stand a chance of seeing her.
  10. To be precise, Gatrie comes in Chapter 13 and Shinon in Chapter 18. I know for a fact that Shinon, at least, changes his equipment, because he actually has something interesting in his inventory there.
  11. @Birdy Thanks. I was going to ask what the problem was, but it seems to have solved itself- and now I'm left wondering how the calculator went off in the first place. It's not now.
  12. I'm having trouble analysing my Lissa's boon/bane. The stats laid out by the calculator do not match the ones on Lissa's promotion screen, and I'm not sure why. Lissa's five-star stats: 16/13/7/6/8 Lissa's current stats (Lvl 40 4-star): 33/31/26/25/28 Lissa's skillset: Gravity, Rehabilitate, Heavenly Light, Live To Serve (B)
  13. ..@Elieson, it helped me anyway. Caeda get's Fir's stuff (I haven't decided when, because she's coming up on the Arena rotation) and Est gets Jagen's (...there's a weird, subversive joy in the act).
  14. ...I think there was something in the Whitewing discussion, possibly... At any rate, I'm not even going to pretend I'm unbiased enough to give you an honest opinion. But Shove is rather situational (even if it is handy when you can use it, it helps me counter archers), the Heavy Spear doesn't particularly help if you bother with mages, Defiant Res isn't as helpful on someone like her, but Seal Spd... Seal Spd could be lovely if you have a surplus you want to pass around.
  15. Yeah, that seems hopeful... the situation that prompted the issue was when the map was such that I had to aggro the bow cav to get the enemy to move. Or possibly end turn over and over to get the Nino to reach me (it's the map with the massive mountain, the 'u' wall, and the one unit that moves regardless I think first appears in a Mystery of the Emblem map). Helpful mountains, but no way to get him moving into a trap. ...I miss pegasi dominating the terrain.
  16. *Lance, but the idea is sound. Two armourslayers are just ridiculous anyway. I have a Fir ready for Caeda to maybe benefit from the Killing Edge and Glacies (she seems to have nice Res), though I wonder where Est's lance is going to come from. Effie, maybe...
  17. A strategy like that is basically how I plan to deal with infantry archers. Horseback archers present more of a problem because fliers, sadly, lack the move needed. Iote's Shield is going to be a massive blessing. If I can get both Michalises, Iote's Shield will basically be mandatory for one of my pegs. Depends on who can make room in the 'A' slot, and which one would be wise to claim it. @Effies_Home, I run pegs because I tend to have great luck with pegs in traditional Fire Emblem, and I've managed to have great luck with them in Heroes despite the game taking away most of the luck from the gameplay. Plus, it'll help with the flier missions in both the March Lunatic and the Tower missions. (They're not going to be ready in time, but still...)
  18. So, when do you reckon the first bow cav will appear in the drawing pool? Because I can't figure out how to counter them with all pegs and I want to know how long I have to come up with a plan.
  19. The question is who gets Iote's on my peg-only team! I'm guessing Catria (she seems the offensive one), though I haven't checked the skill letters yet.
  20. I want to run a team of Whitewings (Caeda, not Minerva... and before you ask, Caeda's Fortify Pegs is the cornerstone anyway, and I don't want to give her up if I happen to come across a Minerva), but I'm not sure what skills I want to give each. Natural Caeda: Armourslayer, Rally Speed, Darting Blow A, Fortify Fliers C Natural Palla: Ruby Sword, Moonbow, Wings of Mercy B, Goad Fliers C Natural Catria: Killer Lance, Luna, Armoured Blow A, Seal Atk B Natural Est: Heavy Spear, Shove, Defiant Res A, Seal Spd B My initial impressions are, first and foremost, one of Caeda or Est needs another weapon. Second, the blue ones appear to be the offensive ones and the red ones the defensive, which I don't know how to feel... and third, my luck makes five stars a bit of a pipe dream. I have an Effie, and with the free Draug, I'm open to sacrificing her, but no one else, and I don't see me coming across too many more.
  21. Well, I guess that pegasus team I'm training might see benefits. Not in time, but I'll claim bragging rights later or something.
  22. My favourite class in Fire Emblem is the pegasus knight. And, as fortune would have it, I've pulled every pegasus knight found in the original game- Caeda, Palla, Catria and Est. Naturally, I want to try and make a team out of them. Does anyone have any suggestions for what skills each might want from inheritance? I will need a new weapon for Caeda or Est (both currently carry an anti-armour weapon), Palla/Catria have no supports skills, and Caeda/Est have no offensive ones. Palla and Caeda have Peg-exclusive buffs (Palla Goad and Caeda Fortify), and I've already checked- I can't feed them Bowbreaker.
  23. Well... my first summon on this banner went interestingly. No five stars, no Elibe characters at all, and only one new character. That new character? Caeda. ...I now have the potential to make a pegasus knight team with Fortify peg, I have all the Akaenian pegasi (still missing Minerva, but I never had luck with wyverns), and I like Caeda anyway. I stand by choosing to summon from that orb. (Now all I need to do is decide which of the duplicates to merge and which to not even bother merging.)
  24. I was actually working on a story concept for a Fire Emblem setting, and I find it kind of funny that I'm currently nursing the idea of the final boss being a Dragon in the literary sense rather than the literal. As for the question, I'm not entirely sure how long a Fire Emblem game can hold an open world. Multiple potential objectives, maybe (maybe actually use that world map to suggest alternate routes), but free exploration with no firm direction? No.
  25. ...Honestly, if they gave Lucius a staff instead of light magic, I'm genuinely curious now if that means one or more of Erinys, Fee or Hermina will come as exclusively staff instead of all being blue/red.
