  1. Fine. I'll just keep my thoughts to myself from now on.
  2. I believe you should only have freedom of religion if you don't hurt anyone by being a part of that religion. In other words, if you're christian, Muslim, whatever, you keep things to yourselves. Don't go shooting people just because they don't believe in your own version of the fictional flying spaghetti monster. If religion can't exist without innocents dying then it simply has to leave. I seriously hope no one is seriously defending mass murderers over "freedom of religion".
  3. Well with the way fatigue would work in my game (that is IF I put it in) it could be healed off with, well, healers! That way, if you want to keep using a character no matter what, you have to make sure they get healed every once in a while. However, someone else brought up a good point-there's already a better system for making sure people don't just use the strongest characters all the time...it's called receiving barely any exp and jagen growths for characters like Marcus in FE6.
  4. Don't worry about that potential 50%Crit because a lot of classes would also have stats like 40-50luck to balance it out. Not only that, but while sword masters would gain a lofty +20Crit on 3rd tier other classes would gain things like +40Crit Evade so basically, the sword master's full potential is only in effect on a number of classes. This is to stop them from being the best class in the game. Of course, some classes will have glaring flaws such as maybe a max luck stat of 20 but they'd be rather bulky to balance it out. In addition, the 3rd tier sword master would only have a strength cap of 30...when other classes have a defence cap of 50 (like 3rd tier generals). As such, while the sword master would get lots of attacks due to his 45 speed cap, against high defence enemies, he'd be rather useless. Better for taking out warriors and stuff. Got it. Thanks. Cool. What's wrong with third tiers? Do you just prefer more seperate classes overall? PS: If you still care about this, here's the max stats a 3rd tier sword master would have. HP-80 (Max in the game is 120) STRENGTH-30 MAGIC-15 SKILL-50 SPEED-45 LUCK-30 DEFENCE-30 RESISTANCE-20 ...I'll leave potential and endurance for now. Basically the sword master's strengths are insanely high crit chance, accuracy and evasion but their weaknesses are that they're very frail and are very susceptible to crits themselves.
  5. NX please. We haven't had a console FE title in AGES! Also, how do you make polls?
  6. Haha ok I see your point. The only reason I made him that thin was to represent how weak he was-he's meant to be a trainee class after all! Stuff like bobbing I can add but I'm not really sure how to get details like non-noodle arms and the body moving with a sprite that small. In the end though, these animations are super old and I haven't decided whether I'll go back and fix them. Tbh I really need an art tutor to help me with this.
  7. In other words, there's already a better system that accomplishes what the fatigue system would've done. The fatigue system would've prevented using only a few select units but the lowered exp gains they receive by being much higher levelled than the others already does that. So in the end, a fatigue system would be useless.
  8. The only problem with it is it ONLY has ONE mega man game. I'd gladly pay $80 for the console if it has mega man 1-6!
  9. I think the consensus is pretty clear...DON'T INCLUDE A FATIGUE MODE AS IT LIMITS REPLAY-ABILITY! Oops, should've worded that better! It seems that, unless this fatigue mode is heavily changed, barely anyone wants to play it. I still think it should be an option for those who want it. Here's how it'd work... Entering battles themselves costs 1 point. Energy spent using a item depends on it's rank e.g. Bronze sword (E rank) requires one point of energy to use whereas an S rank weapon requires 6 points. Special staves would be added to heal fatigue. Any unit over their fatigue limit gets all their stats reduced by half.
  10. Looks pretty cool. Would be even better if they made a game cube one with path of radiance so tons of people could finally play the game officially.
  11. What about making it so that once they reach their limit they count as dead for the rest of the battle. And maybe some characters wouldn't have limits so you could at least beat the game?
  12. Would it be ok as an optional mode or should it just stay away from FE in general? Never mind, I didn't realize you'd already answered that question.
  13. IGNORE IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT SOME IDIOT'S POTENTIAL GAME! In my game here's how the stats would work... Hp-the character's vitality. Once this reaches zero the character dies and stays dead. Strength-determines your physical attack damage. Each point of strength=1 more point of damage dealt during physical attacks. Magic-same as strength but for magical attacks. Skill-determines how accurate you are and the rate of critical hits. Accuracy=(skill pointsx2) +weapon hit rate. Critical rate=skill points+skills+weapon effects. Speed-governs evasion and how many attacks you can deal to enemies. Evasion=speed x2. Number of attacks=every 5 points higher than the enemies' speed stats= one extra attack. Luck-each point decreases the likelihood of getting critical attacked. Dodge=luck points+ skills + weapon effects. Defense-controls how much damage you take from physical attacks. Each point of defense= more point less of damage taken from physical attacks. Resistance-same as defense but for magical attacks. Potential-determines how much this character is affected by buffs and healing. Endurance-determines how much this character is affected by debuffs and dark staff attacks. Bare in mind that stat caps have the potential to reach 50 at most by the time characters' get to third tier. Given this information...how would you change things to have better balance? Would skills like crit+30 be a good idea with these kinds of mechanics or would it be horribly op?
  14. The chapter where you can battle fargas was pretty cool I guess...
  15. Introducing even more cringe worthy sprites! Meet the map sprites for the Murderer class! [spoiler=Murderer map spites] Passive Active Walking down Walking left Walking up While this one isn't too horrible I HAAAATTTTEEEE the 'Walking left' one...the only reason I haven't changed it is because I literally can't think of a better animation to use for it.
  16. There could be a new stat called 'Stamina' and, the more you have of this stat, the more you can use that unit for that specific battle! Would that be fun or just annoying?
  17. I was mainly referring to awakening and fates when I made that statement about too many dragons. What sort of "hard decisions" would they make?
  18. It'd be a good idea to finally have a fire emblem game where you don't defeat some dragon as the final boss. Maybe this is a bit of a stretch but I liked Ashera simply because you're fighting an actual god (I think) rather than some dragon who everyone(for some reason) deems as a god. As for "growing up"...what sort of ideas do you have in mind? What about a protagonist who thinks there's 'good people' and 'bad people' in the world but, after being tricked by several 'good guys' finally realizes that all humans have both good and bad in them. Maybe he/she helps a revolution succeed but the person put in power (who was initially good) succumbs to greed and turns out of be an even worse ruler than before?
  19. Interesting....so crit bonuses should've be given to those who can only wield one type of weapon...thanks for the info!
  20. Again, what about having certain classes balance out others? For every class that gains +20 Crit there could be classes that gain +20 luck as well. Of course to make sure it isn't totally useless some classes would gain things like +20 Hit or nothing at all.
  21. Would +30 Crit be balanced if there were classes that had + 30 Luck or +30 Avo so everyone's powerful? On second thoughts, I'd like the units' stats to be the determining factors so how about the usual Crit +15?
