  1. Ah, the sweet sound of completing the fliers quest (joining the already finished infantry and cavalry quests). Boxing in Clarine had never been more satisfying (I hated this map because of the cavalries and Leo's Bryhindlr ruining the flier's movement advantage). Yeah, anytime there are 3 or 4 Lances it's likely they are four fliers in the Cordelia map, and is the easiest to manage for the Lunatic Fliers quest because the enemies are all separated. Otherwise, look for maps without arhcers obviously, or where there are only 3 units. Or if you have lots of wyvern riders, lots of lances (just be sure to have a Hammer user in case of Knights) So glad I trained up Narcian and Subaki for the Michalis map, since their gem weapons and Subaki's Swap have been super useful in these Lunatic quests. Subaki is really good as a melee wall against Sword units, and I've loved Swap after using him. Shoutout to Cherche for dealing with units that turned out to be Knights (which is super annoying). Palla's best moment was tanking Hector, who annoyed me in my other account because I didn't have a Sword flier. Also one of the more err...interesting challenge in my other file's fliers quest was where I had to separate Effie/Hector/Gwendolyn from each other in the Narcian map. They boosted each other, and it didn't help there was a Sakura before to heal at the start. All my fliers went down to the south, trying to bait the Sakura which took forever (so many turns I lost count) because of Hector's reposition. I eventually split my fliers team in two directions, where I could finally bait and defeat Sakura- then splitting apart the armours also took so long. Again, thank goodness for Cherche's Hammer!
  2. That feel during training your units and your Olivia has more Defense than Eliwood. Weird I'm using her as a front liner for now just to get some kills for that last Hone Attack.
  3. A few days ago I did a summon and got this: +HP/-Spd Lucius, but finally can have a team of four 5 stars! Granted 2 of them are healers with Sakura (and not counting a duplicate Merric), but at least it's a whole team! The I did a last YOLO summon on the Michalis banner before it ended: I was looking for Minerva, but Raven came instead! (to follow Lucius?) Not too bad since I don't have him and I need an infantry Axe user. Also the irony of getting lower star versions (and also duplicates) of Eliwood/Selena when Minerva was the only one I didn't have from the banner. Still at least this Eliwood is better since he's 4 star and more usable.
  4. While I'm indifferent to the bunny ears effect, I at least prefer her with those than the strange cow horn-like princess crown.
  5. Also I'll give this a go, I'll let other number crunchers correct me if I'm wrong (can't seem to find all the max stats on the wiki for 5 stars). Let's make Stahl at least have some kind of role. If you want to enhance his innate ability to Swap and destroy Green melee units how about a Shield role for your ranged units? He already has Ruby Sword+ and Swap. If you want to be more defensive maybe Escutcheon/Sacred Cowl but since yours it would be for +Attack Moonbow (Wo Dao+ if you can) works. -If you want an instant teleporting shield for ranged units, use Wings of Mercy and use Swap if you need to. Hone Atk/Speed will buff your ally on their next turn. -If you really want to upgrade his stats a bit, Fury is the way to go. Fury + Swordbreaker is also a great offensive combo so you threaten both Axes and Swords. Vantage also works. Otherwise, if you want to be more defensive, maybe Renewal to offset the Fury damage? -As stated before, a Hone skill works if you intend to use Swap a lot. Threaten Speed/Attack also works as other options. -Alternatively, if you really want to go super offensive with the +Atk, maybe Wo Dao+, Death Blow, Swordbreaker/Desperation and Threaten Speed/Defense? ---- Anyone have any ideas for a +HP/-Speed Lucius? Maybe Pain, Rehabilitate, Heavenly Light and maybe HP+5, Live to Serve/Renewal, Savage Blow/Breath of Life? Or would having a combination of Speed+3 and/or Threaten Speed be useful to offset the Speed bane? Also found out the best Nino in my main account is -Attack and +Speed. Minus Attack sucks but Speed is great, is it still salvageable with the right skills? Maybe Life and Death and Desperation? Would Draconic Aura be a good choice despite the Attack bane? edit: Also @Ryuke I thought of another Saizo build to go with his nice defense for a dagger user. Maybe an anti-Archer unit with Bowbreaker? So, Smoke Dagger/Poison Dagger, Swap, Sacred Cowl/Bonfire with Death Blow, Bowbreaker, Threaten Attack?
  6. I think it's because they were the first four summoned heroes revealed in the opening movie of the Heroes trailer/game so it's more of a celebration of the app. Still, i have a headcanon that Chrom picked up an axe after the Ephraim fight should they ever duel again. (Reclassed to Great Knight? Frederick tailoring his suit for him?) As for someone who mentioned why Lucina is magical, maybe marriage bells tolled for Maribelle in Easter Lucina's world (who is probably good friends with Yarne) yeah, totally missed opportunity for taguel but I guess business decisions go with the main advertised heroes but yeah Xander is so serious normally it's very...disturbingly hilarious to see him with his carrot spear haha
  7. But Chrom can just respond with his Summer Scramble swim trunks complete with the Exalt symbol on his behind/ courtesy of Anna
  8. Closest thing to Dark Knight Maribelle!Lucina lol (side note: I love how in Awakening Dark Knight Lucina has the short rolled-up hair) Very strange but at least flying mage would be great, since Malig Knight is really Camilla's thing. Better way to reach and ko those Lindes and Reinhardts? Also Chrom has an axe for his next rematch against Ephraim lol
  9. i posted a support AOE debuffer Saizo with Savage Blow/Smoke Dagger/Death Blow/Threaten speed/Growing Wind here if you're interested: https://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?/topic/70033-skill-inheritance-discussion/&do=findComment&comment=4762016 Although it seems like you have a pretty good frontliner Saizo, too. Maybe Threaten Speed for the last slot? He'll be even more like Takumi but it's good team support.
  10. Fliers already have Iote's Shield to protect them from arrows. Unless you're more interested in the doubling effect, which can be replaced by a Brave Weapon? As for Bowbreaker if you had to inherit it, I guess it would be good for your ranged units as insurance against faster archers like Setsuna. Maybe a Poison Dagger user to ensure the kill against archers? Or a Raven tome user (Robin/Henry), with Triangle Adept as a sure counter to archers? (Although they probably want other skills for B slots). edit: Ah, I forgot about Brave Bow's Speed lowering effect. I guess I was thinking more along the lines of more attacks + faster charging time for Glacies.
  11. A brave weapon is always good, so give Niles a Brave Bow for a chance to do x4 attacks. Glacies uses his high Res stat so I think you can keep that as is. For assist, you can choose Swap (useful for tight spaces) or Pivot (for escaping approaching melee units or hit-and-run tactics when used with a Dancer). That or a Rally/Reciprocal Aid if you keep Niles as a kiting unit. A slot- Warding Blow makes him a good mage killer but if you want something different, maybe Death Blow for more damage output against all units. Close Counter is always good for ranged units if you have a spare Takumi and can be used with Vantage to annoy people before getting killed. Otherwise, Fury also has a bit of synergy with Vantage plus gives you stat boosts across the board. B slot- Desperation works as long as you keep him healthy. Otherwise, using say, Fury, then Vantage works, too. Other options include the always useful Wings of Mercy or a breaker of your choice depending on what your team is weak to. C slot- Breath of Life can work with Wings of Mercy for some small healing bonus to your ally. Savage Blow if you want a more offensive route and is good at punishing groups. Otherwise, Threaten Defense/Speed also supports your other teammates. If you want him to focus on his strengths as a bow version of Felicia, this set works as a Wings of Mercy Mage killer that also heals the low-health ally that you teleported to. -Brave Bow+ -Reciprocal Aid -Glacies -Warding Blow/Death Blow -Wings of Mercy -Breath of Life Otherwise if you want a more offensive, sniper version of the above, then swap Breath of Life with Savage Blow and definitely go with Death Blow. You can then change the assist to something like Rally Attack/Speed or Shove/Smite, depending if you want to go for offensive momentum or for more movement coverage for your teammate.
  12. My latest training tower quest failed because of a 52 Attack Shanna with Fury. Like, damn I even tried to take care and not attack her because of Desperation but Camilla and Narcian stood no chance. Would have probably cleared that map too if I could manage her. Didn't help that she had Reposition so baiting was annoying, and a Maria was there to heal her Fury damage...
  13. Wow they're really taking care to listen to fans since Heroes seems to be a big hit in the company's mobile approach So hype for the new changes!
  14. I suppose Growing Wind is more for Lunatic story missions or something when there are more enemies vs your team of 4. Since mine is -Atk, is New Moon worth considering? Her personal weapon makes it activate almost all the time. Or does Draconic Aura still outdamage a New Moon proc?
  15. Nice! I actually have Palla, Narcian and Subaki in my main account, but I just went right and I was attacking with Palla instead of baiting so I didn't think of this. Anyway, managed to beat Lunatic in my other account with 4* Sully (lv 40), 5* Sanaki (lv 40), 4* Olivia (lv 28) and 3* Narcian (lv 36). It took longer because Sanaki's speed is pretty low compared to Tharja, and lack of Gordin meant more careful planning against the fliers. Still, mobility skills matter and Sully's Draw Back proved crucial in moving units out of the way and managing the tight space on the right side. First turn was Sully defeating sword cavalier after a dance from Olivia. Then all the fliers moved downward where Sanaki and Narcian were so I had to use Dance to move them out of harm's way behind the wall. Then defeated Lance flier with Narcian on the south side while Sully shuffled the other units around with help from Olivia. Eventually, Narcian would move to the north to bait the sword flier to move right, where Sully was waiting to unleash her Sapphire Lance. Had to carefully navigate the right side so Sanaki can attack Michalis from behind the wall- even with Triangle Adept 3 Michalis would have 6 HP left. For some reason he headed north so had to bait him again to move back south. Lance infantry this time moved south instead of the northern route so eventually had Narcian move down to deal with him last- again being careful not to attack him first as even with Lancebreaker Narcian won't OHKO. But yeah, all done! Thanks to the people posting in this thread, there were some really great tips!
  16. I've got a -Atk +Spd Minerva, so I'm guessing Life or Death is a must for good damage? Kind of like her durability though, maybe Iote's shield combined with Sacred Cowl for a defensive ranged unit approacher/baiter? I like the idea of Desperation though. Since her weapon lowers cooldown, how about Growing Wind with her high speed for faster activation? or Galeforce?
  17. Beat Lunatic in my main account. Took a few tries to decide which units was most effective and to figure out AI movement, but it worked out. I used 4* Gordin, 4* Tharja, 4* Frederick and 4* Abel with +1 limit break. First turn was to use Gordin to Shove Abel, so he can be in range to KO the sword cavalier. Frederick and Tharja stayed below to bait the fliers as Michalis headed for Abel the next turn. Now Gordin was actually really important because of that 1st-turn shove. I used Olivia before but found that the fliers wouldn't die as easily, and Gordin was perfect to one shot the buffing fliers with his Brave Bow. The next turn took a few tries but it was important to allow space for Abel to move back down and skip Michalis's range. (I huddled the other three too much in my first go). More importantly, Tharja needed to be next to Frederick because of his Fortify Def skill. Michalis would follow Abel, and would die to Tharja's powered up blade tome. The last lance guy was a bit tricky since I didn't want him to activate his skill so I just used Frederick as a front-line shield instead of attacking the lancer (he couldn't KO if he attacked and would die to the activated skill). He was adjacent to Tharja again so the next turn in preparation for another powered up blade attack. Except it turns out I didn't need it because Frederick's Luna was already charged. So happy I got him in the end after a few tries. Gordin really was MVP because of his Shove skill. Frederick was actually there for Wings of Mercy support to help Abel when he got too low in health (he always took a hit against the sword guy, although he hits the enemy 4 times). I even forgot he had Fortify Def to boost Tharja until halfway in the battle! Frederick once again finishes the Lunatic map just like the Ursula mission...it's really tempting to promote him to 5 star! Narcian and Subaki had to go because I still needed to level them up and Subaki couldn't deal too much damage to the Sword Flier. Now to attempt this again in my other account- need to level Narcian up a few more levels because he still takes a bit of damage baiting the Lance flier which adds up when he's in the range of other units he needs to kill.
  18. Team Perfection: Subaki, Cordelia, Ursula, Selena? (a different side/effect of perfectionism?) or Frederick (perfectionism in serving his lord, down to the pebble) Team Big Ham: Odin, Narcian, Bartre, Arthur Team Awakening Royals: Chrom, Lissa, Lucina, Odin Team Tough Redheads: Sully, Selena, Minerva, Hinoka Team Hard-Hitting Ladies: Effie, Cherche, Hana, Kagero Team Long Blue Hair Archetypes: Lucina, Azura, Lillina, Caeda Team Wyvern Ladies: Minerva, Camilla, Beruka, Cherche (currently using in the Training Tower quests actually) Team Avatar: Sokka, Toph, Katara, Aang Robin, Robin, Corrin, Corrin (and they all have white hair) Team At Your Service (or Butlers and Maids theme): Frederick, Jakob, Felicia, Cherche Perfomers team: Olivia, Azura, Laslow, Ninian
  19. Nice! Guess I'll try my luck with Advanced then, no matter the result. For the record I've been using Gunter/Ursula/Lyn/Fir as an experiment. Having a half cavalry team is nice, you don't have a big weakness to wolf tomes compared to full cavalry teams. Gunter+Ursula make a really nice combo, too, and Lyn just mops up what they can't deal with.
  20. Reina though- would be good to have that Kinshi Knight class, being the anti-flier flier. I feel like Shigure would just be a normal lance-wielder. Although it would be cool if he gets the Sing ability (to even out the number of Dancers to Singers!), which would give him a really nice niche.
  21. Quick question, I've reached a high score on my 6th win. If I lose my 7th win, will I lose my high score and revert to my lower score before that? Or because it's already a high score and replaced the old score, the end result will be the score in the 6th win? I just hope I'm lucky with my 7th battle since I'm really proud of the high score :)
  22. I've got 4 on each account so far, both f2p. Main account: Lyn +Def -Res Merric +Hp -Res (same pull as Lyn) Sakura +Res -Def Merric +Res - Spd Ipad: Camilla +Atk -Res (first ever summon) Lucina (Neutral) Sanaki +HP -Def Minerva +Spd -Atk (hmm probably should equip her Life or Death, but I like her current survivability)
  23. Yeah, it's thanks to that link that I trained those two 3 star units and used my lv 24 2 star Olivia haha. Really appreciated! (Granted I didn't watch the whole video yet because I'll feel more accomplished trying to figure the later steps myself. That'll be a last resort) Unfortunately the flying sword unit keeps going down, so in Lunatic Sanaki can't 2HKO the sword flier. I've tried swapping Subaki with level 40 Sully to take out the Sword Cavalier on the top right faster- which worked but I somehow messed up my positioning in later turns where it was too crowded on the right and either Olivia/Sanaki would be in range of Michalis. Still it's doable, I just need to wait for stamina again. I don't feel the need to rush this like the Ursula map since I the 1.5 exp really helped me train up the units. I could probably replace Narcian with my 5 star Minerva- Narcian takes 3 damage from the lance flier currently. Not sure if this will make a difference, Narcian kills fast with Lancebreaker so he's still useful.
  24. So glad I trained Subaki/Narcian for this. They take no damage at all from the Swords/Lances respectively. Subaki needs Dancer support though since he still does low damage, but Lancebreaker really lets Narcian shine. Finished off Michalis with Tharja/Sanaki from behind the wall, although this last steps depended where the Sword flier would go (Sanaki unfortunately needed 1 more HP to survive the sword flier when it moved unexpectedly in her reach.) That said, this was just the hard map using level 30 3 star Subaki/Narcian. Might need to train up a few more levels for Lunatic.
  25. Just thought of a fun supporter build for Saizo with the idea of staking Smoke Dagger/Poison Strike/Savage Blow: Saizo -------- Smoke Dagger+/Poison Dagger+ Shove/Draw Back Moonbow/Growing Wind/Blazing Wind Death Blow/Darting Blow Poison Strike/Desperation Savage Blow/Threaten Speed/Attack/Defense/Breath of Life -The idea is to punish units that huddle together. Smoke Dagger inflicts Def/Res-6 on the targeted opponent's allies. Savage Blow then stacks 7 damage on top of that, softening them even further for your allied units. Of course, you can go something more offensive with Poison Dagger to straight up kill your target if he/she is infantry and you can activate Savage Blow after the battle. -Moonbow is just generally a good, fast-activating skill. Growing Wind is if you want to stack damage to huddled opponents even further with its 9x9 square tile area of effect before you start the battle. Downside is it's high SP cost and it's 5 turn charge limit. Alternatively, Blazing Wind deal x1.5 damage, but has a smaller area of effect (a cross shape)...that and you have to sacrifice a Hinoka which is locked to a 5 star. -Death Blow + Poison Strike to deal as much damage to your target, since they won't get the debuff from Smoke Dagger. Darting Blow is an option if you want more chance to double and thus, faster charging time for your Moonbow/Growing Wind/Blazing Wind skill. (For reference, Saizo has 32 Attack with a positive Attack asset, while a positive Speed asset gives him 37 Speed). -As an alternative to Poison Strike, which softens up enemies for your allies, Death Blow + Desperation is a good combo to have if you want to activate Growing Wind faster and/or just straight up kill your target (the activating Smoke Dagger's effects afterwards, not having to worry about the surviving opponent which doesn't get debuffed). Makes up for the lack of a Brave Dagger. -Threaten Speed is an alternative to Savage Blow, for consistent team support even if Saizo doesn't attack (for example, if he will die attacking or using his assist skill). Also gives him more chances to double when attacking. Otherwise, substitute with any other Threaten skill depending on your team, although Threaten Attack/Defense helps with his physically-based stats. Otherwise, Breath of Life can be interesting to slightly heal adjacent allies. -Assist skill is pretty much filler. Shove is useful for shoving armored allies to act as a shield for Saizo when he does his debuffing the next turn. On the other hand, Draw Back is always a useful skill if you like to kite and act more defensively. I chose Saizo because he already has Smoke Dagger and Poison Strike in his skill set. If you have a Camilla, she can pass Savage Blow/Darting Blow but not all at once. You'll need someone like Narcian for lower Savage Blow levels while Tharja/Florina has to supply Darting Blow 3. He has good Attack/Defense for a dagger user although he has poor Res. Probably not the most efficient/competitive set but would be great alongside Azama to help feed kills while training your units. Azama can bring his Pain staff to further stack damage on bulky units and can also heal your team. Dancer/Singer support is also always useful. You can probably achieve something similar with Jaffar using his exclusive Deathly Dagger, which deals -7 Def/Res on the target plus 7 damage after combat. I assume it stacks with Poison Strike/Savage Blow? Maybe something like Deathly Dagger + Death/Darting Blow + Poison Strike + Savage Blow? Although he might be better just killing things straight out with Life and Death...
