  1. >We have unfortunately been forced to implement food rationing for the Golden Deer, after multiple members of the house were found raiding the pantry. >URGENT SUMMONS: Byleth is to meet me as soon as possible. Bring Sothis. ~Rhea >My class will have bandit target practice on Wednesdays. Meet up in the entrance hall at 10am. ~Byleth >Veto. The infirmary gets horribly strained whenever you do that! ~Manuela
  2. >If Flayn gets injured in training, Lysithea shall be on healing duty. ~Tomas >Why Flayn in particular? ~Lysithea >I hope those training Flayn would be careful such that she does NOT get herself injured! ~Seteth >I thought bandit target practice was part of the mission? ~Byleth >EVEN MORE REASON TO NOT GET HER INJURED!! She could die if you let her get hit by a bandit's axe! >Flayn is to be assigned fishing duty on Thursdays using the bait from the foreign merchant. Byleth is tired of having to catch so many fish... >Yay! ~Flayn >Please don't eat all the fish... 😠 ~Flayn >Can someone please tell Flayn to stop accepting invites to "hang out" from boys? ~Seteth >NO! She can do what she wants! ~Bernadetta
  3. Thunder tome page A page ripped from a thunder tome. It probably belongs to someone who regularly uses electrical devices.
  4. >Please stop trying to pet Bernadetta, she gets frightened easily. (Yes, she even doesn't appreciate it from you, Flayn!) >Byleth, please stop talking to ghosts in your quarters, it's scaring Lysithea. >I AM NOT SCARED >_< >If you see the Death Knight, walk past him quietly while holding a weapon. He refuses to make the first move in a fight. >Lysithea, you are needed in the magic school next Tuesday. ~Linhardt >Not happening. I am not your plaything! ~Lysithea >I'm sure I can help out with lab work, Lin. ~Dorothea >Edelgard and Dimitri are to meet under the goddess tower after the ball. >Claude, that isn't funny. >This is a serious peacekeeping matter! >That only makes it worse. Remember that we are adoptive siblings. >Do not attempt to put make-up on Ingrid. It will end badly for you. >Any injuries induced by inappropriate flirting will not be healed at the infirmary. All those vulneraries are expensive, Sylvain. >Hilda is to be placed in the top bracket for training, whether she likes it or not. The "helpless maiden" act isn't fooling anyone! >Annette and Linhardt are to swap sleep schedules for a week.
  5. I honestly thought she was going to be an annoying brat, but after getting to know her I really grew attached to Bernadetta. Also helps that the bow knight class gives her 4 range and canto, which is a stupidly overpowered combination.
  6. I'm quite bad at the game, and normal/classic is about the perfect difficulty for me. Not so hard that I have to carefully plot out every move to the point of tedium or resort to cheap tactics, but not so easy that I can switch my brain off and render my victories unsatisfying. There have been several times where I screwed up or got critted by the death knight (again) and had to break out the divine pulse to save a unit!
  7. The Black Eagles: Edelgard: The Future Already in the game. Hubert: Loyal Shadow Bernadetta: Best Girl Shy Sniper Caspar: Enthusiastic Brawler Dorothea: Middle-class Magician Ferdinand: Pure Noble Linhardt: In Need of a Nap Petra: Brigid's Huntress
  8. Certain/Flashing/Heavy/Disturbing Blow: (Slot A) If unit initiates combat, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 and cooldown charge+1 per attack. (Basically player phase breath skills) Seal of conviction: (sacred seal) Ignore HP thresholds on unit's other skills.
  9. Go to the dining hall while exploring, and speak to the head chef. You will be asked to cook a meal with one of your students. This will increase the student's motivation, give you support points, and buff your stats for the rest of the month (but it costs you one activity point for the day).
  10. I personally find them very fun to slaughter when I have 3-range attacks and at least 5 units around them. I do agree that they can be a nightmare to deal with if you don't have the right setup though. I find that most beasts can be ORKO'd in player phase with the following strategy. To do this you will need 5 units: two that can attack at range 3 (archers and some mages); one that has very high physical defence (armoured); and two that can deal a ton of damage from range 2 (mages). Step 1: Attack the beast from range 3 to crack the barrier. Beasts can only attack at range 1-2, so you won't get countered. As the sole purpose of this attack is the break the barrier, use your weaker range 3 unit here. Step 2: Attack the broken part of the barrier to shatter it using your high-Def unit. Beasts deal physical damage, so you should survive the counterattack. Again, a high attack stat isn't vital here as you only need to break the barrier, though more damage can save you if one of the attacks in step 3 misses. Step 3: Destroy the rest of the first health bar with a range 2 nuke. The beast will be stunned and unable to counterattack, so a fragile mage is best here. The beast will now regenerate health, but the barrier will still be down! Step 4: Damage the second health bar with the stronger range 3 unit. You need the beast on low health for step 5 to work! Step 5: Kill the beast with one last finishing blow from range 2. It can't counterattack you if it's dead! If the beast has 3 health bars and/or your attacks miss, then just cheese it with gambits.
  11. Dat. Sound. Design. The music is FIRE while also setting the tone perfectly, the sound effects are on point, and the full voice acting adds so much more character to the units. From what I've seen so far, the plot is one of the better ones in the series (granted, it doesn't have all that much competition but...). Also, I'm glad to see they aren't shying away from dark themes such as eugenics, child abuse, classism and human experimentation. That said, I haven't got to the timeskip yet, so the game does still have a chance to drop the ball. Also, thank goodness they didn't sell the three houses separately. I switched houses from Golden Deer to Black Eagles after finding out that the Back Eagle castle design in FEH is pretty and Edelgard ended up being my MVP in the tutorial.
  12. One thing they could do is give the beasts an extra life and the ability to restore their barriers more quickly (but give them normal mode stats to compensate if things get overwhelming). Having to assign more units to the beasts means EXP will be spread more thinly among your squad, leaving vital units potentially under-levelled if they aren't smart with their grinding.
  13. Raw fish. I like my land meat done medium-well. If you were a hero in FEH, WYR be part of the Askran army or the Emblian imperial forces?
  14. Gag character. I'm a lot less likely to get killed off, I can do whatever I want without responsibility, and I can dodge the shippers (mostly). WYR be challenged by Claude in archery or Edelgard in tree cutting?
  15. Run away as quickly as possible. Nep going into her third form is never a good sign!
