Yeah. No daily orbs sucks. I'm used to hoarding, but it feels strange trying hoard when there's barely any orb influx at all. It's like I'm sitting on 20 orbs just because.
I try not to summon if I don't have at least 80 (it feels horrible to lose those 0.75%~1.25% when the summoning banner rotates). Now I have no idea when that will be.

Hmm, you're right, I don't think I remember a single swordmaster that's actually old. The oldest might be Karel or Eyvel... But then, there's few old people at all on the series, right? I guess it goes with the "build your team from lvl 1" playstale. Most old people are pre-promotes that join you later on the game, after all.

Oh, so I'm not the only one going for the OP 4* strategy, then? In my case, I have enough for a +7 Hana... I just haven't decided her skillset yet. I could go the Olivia route too, but I'm still not conviced it's worth it, really (I have another dancer already)

Yeah, I haven't been running into these that often either, but one arena loss is still tough, and they're out there. Anyway, I've been dealing with Reinhardt's pretty easily with a custom built T. Adept Soren (+atk). And even still, I remember a match where reinhardt managed to double him with 11 damage each strike before getting one-shotted. I didn't do the math then, but with 40% disadvantage against a 29 res? That tinyhands was a monster in human form
no mercy.
It's funny that what has been giving me nightmares these past few weeks is teams running Tharja.I guess now with Celica-fever going my team is done for. -

Just rolled the 80 orbs I had been saving for Celica aaaaaaaaaaaaaand...
Got three 5* pulls, no less! My first 2x 5* in one session. Managed to get a Kagero on the first session (-hp, +spd), and then atinyhandsReinhardt (+atk, -spd) and a Boey(doesn't matter, he's bad) on the second. I'm slowly turning into one of these douchebags who only use OP ORKO units
Still, I really want Celica and Genny. Gonna try either only reds or reds/transparents from now on, to make good use of the bonus from the last 2 sessions who only gave crap(not really, there was a hinata and a hana for skillfeeding)

I've decided to save my flags to better support Leo on the second round (I'm not giving up, Robin!!), so I've only spent 400 of them. I'm currently at 140,470 score, ranking 6,643. Merric's certainly not getting anywhere anymore. His supporters are spent. -

As the points accumulate, the amount needed to trigger the 3x bonus gets bigger. So, as the gauntlet goes on, it gets harder and harder for the losing team to reach the winning one in a single activation of the 3x bonus, they just get closer to them, but still behind. I think most people should only worry about what you described happening in case some of the matchups has a very little point count (this round I'd say it's possible only between Leo and Henry).

Looks to me like Tharja's true main competition is Linde. One of those two might win, but I'm hope Robin can tactically win this Gauntlet.
It has stabilized somewhat. Team Merric has been behind Robin for a few hours, even when the 3x bonus hits. I guess all our hope is going into the final rounds tomorrow, but it's unlikely.

I also liked the new tomes a lot (I'm a sucker for new things), and this whole 'only two possible tome-user builds' was already getting old. Now maybe we get three possible builds? Or even more, since Celica's ranged defense bonus looks really nice on a more "defensive" blade user

If it wasn't meant to be exciting we wouldn't have a gauntlet in the first place, but just some random choose your fave poll. And as much as this new system adds some big unpredictability, people are still playing. They can still fight for better results with careful use of flags, choose challenging characters as lead to make their opponents life tougher and their allies easier and all that,
So yeah, IMO it's still pretty real. Only the rules have changed. -
I think that as more people start paticipating in the gauntlets the fan favs will start to pull through. Even if it's flawed, I like this new system. At least now you feel like your score matters somewhat.
Let's be honest, trying to beat a character that's a whole billion points ahead was just frustrating, there was little motivation to contribute. Of course, maybe they should widen the gap that makes the multiplier start, or even make it so it's just a 2x multiplier that becomes x3 if you're too far behind. -

I've not been paired with a single Azura yet, but yeah, between Merrics I'm getting some Ninos too #TeamGreen

It's crazy cool, especially the skills. I expected way less. Genny's character looks so beautiful I I wouldn't even be mad If I drew the healer this time around.
Plus, there is an summonable unit from every orb color. The hype is on.Just noticed how Boey's defense must be nuts for a mage. The hype is way on! -

That's a tough question, really. We have had no mention of these characters coming at all.
There are currently three different lords missing in Heroes: Micaiah, Sigurd and Leif, from Radiance, Genealogy and Thracia. I'd say they're likely to be added sometime in the next few months. There will also probably be a banner dedicated to their next title, Fire Emblem Warriors, which I think is scheduled to be released by the end of 2017, but I don't really know much about the title in itself.
All in all, I think the chances of Mia and Erk being added are rather slim, while Ayra and (not likely)Ferry could come in Sigurds banner, if that really happens. But I wouldn't bet on it. I think the important thing is starting to save orbs just after you get a 5*, not to waste too much .25% bonuses. And save like mad as soon as you hear anything about genealogy (in case Ayra indeed gets added along with Sigurd).
