  1. If the cloned archers got moved into other clones I guess that'd be...fine. Not ideal but it would add a little variety. But seems like something they wouldn't bother with, especially on the sets that only have one clone.

And browsing through some of Elise's lines, are the minor moveset voice clips not included in this? Like the little quips they say during their combos, spell names for the mages, grunts and stuff. That stuff's pretty minor but, hey.
  3. It's not about the fact that it suits the series' archers as a whole, it's about the fact that there are 4 characters in the game who share the same exact moveset. And the ONLY weapon in the game, aside from Dragons who only has one character regardless (who I guess technically gets 2 if you differentiate human & Dragon...), to not have any different variations to it. It's boring and a big missed opportunity to not do anything interesting that plays to those characters' characters. Really it just amplifies the clone issue the game has. I really wish they had done even a semiclone type thing, where they at least differ by a couple combos. or even 1 move. Like their combo 6 being unique, that'd be cool, since it's generally the biggest flashy attack short of a special. I'm not optimistic about them touching any of the clones in a sequel. They'll probably focus resources on new characters with new movesets. We'd probably have archer #5 be unique than them touching any of the original 4.

  5. They are not beholden to keeping that same C1 (or the rest of the moveset) exactly the same for every single archer just because it fits archers in the main series. You can take liberties to better suit different characters or to offer different play styles and not Sakura is by nature a nervous person and that could carry through as well. She could have a variant of Takumi's C1 where she's not as fast on the draw and does fewer, but maybe stronger ones.Or weaker, but a stronger finish with her C1 gimmick charging more light into the bow resulting in a larger blast that deals more damage/leaves them stunned. Homing missiles I don't think would suit her very well, but it shouldn't be thrown completely off the table just beause C1 happens to fit generic archers. And let's move away from C1 in general: Sakura could have less certain steps during her normal string (maybe she is slower and fires more forward, maybe she does a sort of trip slash in an early combo, like how the white crit does) and then takes more precise movements in her combos. She could do something like fire down then slowly up. Overhead volleys. The light stream specials itnrigue me and I feel there's potential there than just swapping all the wind for light: explosions of light, arrows of light centered around her, light tornados, shooting a ball of light and then that light explodes (could be a nice variant for her C...5< tihink, the one with the big wind orb). Anna could have summoned a ballista for her C1 and had this be the basis for her combos. Note: not to ride, but to ssummon and have it do things. Charge forward, do delayed cannon fire, reference different ballista shots from earlier in the series by throwing out rocks or giant arrows, steal some tips from lana's summoning gate. She also could throw more gold, like she does in some of her specials. Niles who knows. I've seen it floated by that he could base a moveset on his chains and capturing people in some fashion. Maybe HE could have the homing missiles, he seems like someone that would do trick shots like that.KT has, presumably, done assorted bow movesets in the past and I'm sure they could come up with SOMETHING here if they dont want him on a mount.
  6. Berkut (& Fernand) was a fun addition and I didn't mind Conrad either Rinea was.......not. I don't think anyone was happy with how Rinea was done. If Rinea is ever added to heroes she'll probably get more character to her than echoes did which is really sad.

I think your way would probably have more work since you'd need high quality recording, then separating the clips, more work since I'm not 100% sure you can get rid of things like the background music on menus. getting it out of the game is...feasibly...not that hard. They should just be sound files like the music (which has been ripped in full), though probably in a format that needs to be converted. Ripping things like the models is probably significantly more work.

  11. Possible, but I doubt it was a case of "we need to axe these so we can have THESE". I think the sakura/niles one in particular was probably gotten rid of since it was pretty skeevy. At least I would hope they weren't scrapped for that because that means Linde would have had only 2 planned and it is baffling enough that Linde only has 3. Not a single other character in the game has 3. Leo & Takumi had 4 each in the base game, but dlc helped bump them up to 6 & 7 respectively (& leo will probably get an 8th with Owain). It feels like she should have gotten one with, like, Robin if no one else.
  12. in addition to what everyone else said, promotion also unlocks literally half of your skill tree which includes: the last 2 defense crests for everyone, the last 2-3 combos for each character (all of which are high damaging and generally their bast damage dealing option), access to brave & hero weapons, access to the true power of personal weapons, ability to have up to 6 skills equipped. The game absolutely expects you to promote as soo nas you can and there is no reason to hold off.

Lyn was also based on her father: he was a nomad killed in battle with bandits (with her mother i believe). he didn't wield Mulagir (probably), but it's not like Lucina's lance was even one that existed much less used by Chrom. Personally I could see them just making up a weapon for her. I liked the idea of them making the golden dagger a, you know, dagger, and have her throw that around as our colorless unit. Maybe on a horse because why not. But at the same time they might see it as lesser since it's used as a bargaining chip and becomes the Beloved Zofia, so hey why not become something entirely new. Also I'd like to see the theme being "ascended royalty". Riglian/Queen Celica is obvious, but Hector can have his coronation outfit from the end of FE7, Ephiram can have an original attire to represent being king and nice AU (or future?) queen veronica would be cool (ideally she could be older too, to show hte passage of time, but "our" veronica won so she'll probably remain her current age-ish)
  14. At this point there is more likely to be a FEW2, if anything, so I doubt a definitive edition will happen. Or at least, not unless they put out an entirely separate 3ds successor or something. I'd say the base game is worth $40. I got a lot of play time out of it before the dlc hit and now i'm over 130. Even if you don't buy the dlc, you should get plenty of enjoyability.
  15. Which makes sense considering you need to fuel 2 bars for it. If it was exactly as much as as using the 2 separately, there'd be little point in doing them beyond minor conveincince and fanservice. I think they also have a wider area of effect, though that's harder to verify due to enemy pop in and varying enclosures

I know it's not something in his conquest moveset at all, and i think only a skill in like the tellius games and fe4, but giving him something like Nihil (which in this game I figured would be "nullifies all skills at x% health" or something) would be interesting considering the whole emptiness motif.
  17. Karel's high growths in FE6 were because he was a promoted level 19 unit given to you on the penultimate (ish) map, right?
  18. I don't see getting him anytime soon, just because final bosses will probably be spaced out (side note it is amazing that we got Grima before Leaf), but if they have the design they'll use it. Anankos' human form probably got more notability than some actual characters.
  19. It shouldn't matter that it's dlc. They still designed & implemented an Anankos design. It's not like, say, they're going with the vague crusader drawings of assorted FE4 manga(s?) And if canon is a worry let's not forget they used Anankos' human design in Hidden Truths.
  20. Anankos could easily work since he has a distinct human form to use for map/start of battle, then turn into the weird eyeball dragon. Could even just totally ape what Grobin does and have hte head come from out of frame so they dont have to acknolwedge scale problems.
  21. yes! Grima was implemented almost exactly like I thought he would (I flipped the gender and called him "Grima"). This is starting to bring the ??? into focus, too. Don't want to spoil a banner like this, probably ipmlies that the GHB is another "fallen hero" and I bet the voting gauntlet is themed around this as well.
  22. ah okay, that's fair. I imagine the level curves get pretty steep past 90, so I've not experienced that.
  23. WIth paragon, even slim amounts of exp will add up over time, even if they just get kicked to the "back" of a pair up. I have it on everyone and it's why most of them are in their late 70s (some early 80s, marth in particular in his 90s) And lord knows you'll be running the hero challenge maps over and over and over again for materials or to unlock skills (True Power, in my case). Also if you just use training grounds in short bursts, like to get some people up about 5 levels, its pretty easy to eat the cost just by playing the game normally. The weapons add up pretty quick, you're generally pretty raking in money normally from maps. I've never really bothered with. Like I've dipped into TG to get some lesser used units several times up to speed (Lyn & Celica in particular I just straight leveled to 50 all at once) and i am about to pass the 8 million marker again. Just rolling in money I've basically nothing to do with.but i'm not at content i feel i need to raise levels over.
  24. Since Fjorm is sitting out the next banner, I suspect the next unit will be a Blue. If they want to keep along the instances of things like Ike, that is an existing character who has a distinctive other appearence elsewhere in the series, then I was always thinking Zeke or Sirius woul work. Distinct appearance from Camus, legendary weapon, popular, blue. Zeke in particular has recency bias and could get a "Dark" Gradvius. Personally speaking I'd rather not include new, distinct non-OC characters (ie instead of zeke we get like...marth's sister) but I'd give Zeke/Sirius a pass. Everyone's ideas of using characters of literal legend works too, though who knows if they'd ever touch those. Nightmare scenario is we get a Thracia banner with Thracia GHB and thracia legendary hero and by that I mean Reinhardt Again. Armor, double dire thunder, the best possible min/max spread, great skill set. You know I'm kind of surprised they didnt save "Anamesis" Eirika or Zelgius for a legendary banner, in retrospect.
  25. Oh hey I meant to ask this earlier, but for some of the arena,s did they aadd more special dialog for characters coming to the rescue? Caeda & Oboro had a conversation that I swear I hadn't seen before (about fashion) and Owain & Lissa had a really cute one in another. e: I know the base game had some, but it felt either more generic or wasn't there for everyone. Like Caeda & Marth had one when they rescued each other, I think Marth & Navarre had another, Owain & Niles, but I think Owain & Lissa were involved but didn't have one? It's been a while since I've done owain areans, however.
