  1. You didn't get the Quickened Pulse seal from the 1st TT did you? If you have it, Klein would be able to kill Lilina and he can survive Cecilia on the Enemy Phase. Another option would be if you pulled a Summer Xander. His C-slot skill would make it work too.
  2. Congratulations! What rarity and nature is your Klein? You might actually be able to clear Infernal.
  3. I've hooked up with a 2nd cousin. Marrying a 2nd cousin is Legal everywhere in the world. 1st cousins are where it gets iffy. Personally that is where I would draw the line.
  4. You have a really good voice for this kind of stuff. Presentation was top notch. Maybe try to be a little bit more scripted. You kinda bounced around a little bit. So basically Camus and Klein are S-tier for this Map. I guess any of the good bow users are good on this map if they have Klein's base kit. Ryoma or Ike with Vantage and Repo should also be able to kill both Lilina and Cecilia on the enemy phase. Maybe 5* Xander if he has enough speed? Best strat seems to be using a bow to kill the pegi and then having someone, who can at least survive (if not kill) both Lilina and Cecilia on the enemy phase, use Repo on your bow user. After that, it is just clean up time. Another good one is the one I did where Klein is danced after killing the pegi and he goes on to kill Lilina as well with a Quickened pulse special proc (or Hone Atl/Drive atk support). Just tested it again, only 3 units are needed. Any +Atk Klein with the Atk +1 seal, a 4* or 5* Olivia (Hone Atk 3 is needed), and any unit who can kill the Lance Cav with or without dance support are all that is needed to clear the map. The 3rd must be a Ranged attacker or 3-Move Melee attacker if a dance is needed, and Olivia will need WoM. Turn 1 - Break the wall and get into position Turn 2 - Hone Atk boosted Klein kills the pegi, is danced, and then kills Lilina. Cecilia chooses to attack Klein over Olivia and is met with a Glacies and Quick Riposte hit. Turn 3 - Klein finishes off Cecilia and your 3rd unit kills the Lance Cav, Olivia is available for a dance if needed otherwise stand by Klein. Turn 4 - Klein kills the Archer is danced and then kills the Red mage. Turn 4b - (If your 3rd unit needed a dance to kill the Cav then you will need to have the 3rd unit use Rally Atk on Klein and Olivia will need Wings of Mercy to dance for Klein. Apparently your 4th unit must stand down 1 and right 1 of the wall we broke in order to manipulate the Archer into moving down on turn 2 Enemy phase.
  5. What do you have to work with? Olivia can be substituted for Azura or Ninian.
  6. Everyone complained when there was no multiplier because the outcomes were more or less decided from the start. The multiplier was added to make it so the popular characters weren't guaranteed to win. Gaius was the 1st underdog to benefit from this. If anything, Gaius winning is just the multipliers doing what they were added to do. In short, nothing needs to be tweaked. Everything is working exactly how they are intended. Underdog teams lose out on the 500 victory feathers but they get a higher cumulative score. Balance. There is zero reason to have any multipliers at all if everyone still wants the larger team to win every match-up with them.
  7. OMG Lunatic was so easy. I just beat it only using Camus and Klein. Camus is +1 and Klein is +Atk/-Spd. Klein killed the pegi, Camus repo'ed him back and then killed Cecilia and Vantage killed Lilina. Then Klein killed the Cav and Camus finished the Archer a turn later. Time to try Infernal. SUCCESS!! Used the same Camus and Klein with the Quickened Pulse seal, and Delthea and Azura came along for some support. Turn 1 - moved everyone forward and broke the wall with Delthea Turn 2 - Klein killed the pegi, Azura sang and Klein killed Lilina with Glacies (thanks to the Quickened pulse) Camus repo'ed Azura back and Delthea moved into Azura's spot giving Klein the Drive Atk boost. (In hindsight the Quickened Pulse isn't needed if Delthea is moved here before Klein Attacks Lilina.) Turn 3 - Klein finishes off Cecilia with another Glacies proc. Delthea kills the archer. Camus kills the Lance Cav and Azura does nothing. Turn 4 - Delthea moves toward the red mage to give Klein the Drive Atk boost needed to kill the red mage. With the Atk +1 seal (or nothing really) on Klein things play out slightly differently but all enemies are still killed by the same units. The Atk +1 seal does allow Klein to kill the red mage without Delthea's Drive Atk support.
  8. How is this any different than the current system? Bandwagonning is already a handicap for the total score of the popular team. As far as missing out on the bonus hours, that is the benefit given to the more dedicated players. Having constant multipliers for both sides just to make the scores close to being even is the absolute worst idea I have ever heard for "fixing" this "problem" that isn't actually a problem to begin with. If 50,000 people like one character and only 7,000 people like the other character, why does something assumed to be broken when the 50,000 beat the 7,000? Capping team sizes would just make a bunch of people mad that they can't support their waifu because the team filled up. The only reason the Final was such a huge curbstomping is because the 4 least backed participants were on one side and the 4 most backed participants were on the other side. The real Final of this gauntlet was Corrin v Robin. That one was fairly close and Robin had a legitimate chance to win had she gotten the bonus at different times. The gauntlet doesn't need any major changes. There is no way for Intelligent Systems to do anything because players will choose whoever the hell they want to support and there is absolutely no way to predict how that goes. The gauntlet is fine. We just need to accept that some match-ups will turn out like Corrin v Gaius and others will be like Chrom v Ephraim (or Gaius v Frederick anyone?). So here are my results for the gauntlet. I joined Corrin right from the get go only because she was one of the two I had. I had absolutely no idea who the favorite was going in. Round 1: Score 219,340 - Rank 980 - Total Rank 25,412 - 2500 + 500 = 3000 feathers Round 2: Score 595,640 - Rank 886 - Total Rank 14,278 - 2500 + 500 = 3000 feathers Final Round: Score 251,120 - Rank 16,159 - Total Rank 22,493 - 2300 +500 + 1800 = 4600 feathers Grand total - 10,600 feathers. Based on my Rankings, there was an absolute maximum of about 21,500 people in Team Gaius since about 900 of the people in Team Corrin were ahead of me. 21,500 Is also a high estimate because anyone who was on Team Elise (or any other team really) in Round 1 (and 2) would have had a higher cumulative score than me because of their many more bonus hours and many of them could have ended up on Team Corrin. Team Gaius had probably around 15,000 - 17,000 people on it compared to 100,000+ on Team Corrin.
  9. Um, the multiplier is the incentive. Unless you can come up with a better one? It is definitely better now than it was before. There is a level of excitement in trying to figure out who to back in each round for maximum feather gains. I have to agree with @Ice Dragon that the 3x was the best format so far. Although all of the Gaius shenanigans has been pretty fun as well.
  10. Holy shit! Gaius did almost 2.4 billion with that last bonus. Apparently there are a lot of smarter people who knew to hang on to flags for the later hours. Still isn't enough for him to take a lead though.
  11. Why do so many people hoard all of their flags for the final round? The entire top 50 of Team Corrin has spent 4,400+ flags this round. It has completely tanked my rank in army for the final round. I'm gonna finish in the 2,300 feather tier. I realize the final round gives you 1000 more feathers than the first two rounds but it forces you to have a terrible score for both the first two rounds and your total score is crap too because you miss out on all of the multipliers in the first two rounds. It is the absolute worst strategy for getting feathers. With that strategy on Team Corrin from the start, you get as low 7,000 and a max of maybe 8,200 if the Team sizes were small enough in the first two rounds. Most likely you would get 7,200 - 7,600 feathers. For me personnally, I was able to get the top 1000 in both of the first two rounds (3,000 + 3,000) and i'm on pace for the 2,300 feather tier in the Final round and 1,800 for total score. 3,000 + 3,000 + 2,800 + 1,800 = 10,600 feathers. (amounts include the 500 per round for victory.) Worst case scenario, if your Final round tanks enough you still get 9,900 - 10,200 feathers. Either way, it is much better than the "All in on the Final round" strategy.
  12. A death loses you 70 points. I don't think 4888 would be good enough to stay most weeks. My score of 4912 is rank #1745 so that's 45 other people tied with me who are just ahead of you. As far as I remember you and I end up right around the same score every week.
  13. 70 dueling swords just to barely make it to Tier 20? Is the extra 1200 feather that important to you? You're just going to drop back down to 19 next week and then struggle to make it up to Tier 20 again. But now you aren't going to have any swords.
  14. No. You want to spend the most flags possible when you do actually spend flags. Since just doing the 1x option is technically free you want to use your actual flags as few times as possible. With 4530 flags through 3 rounds you want to do 200 flags 22 times, 100 flags once and 10 flags 3 times. That is the optimum way to use flags. Never touch the 5x or 50x options ever.
  15. I agree with this. Because the summer versions were released so recently, I think people chose more based on how good they are as units/ which one they were lucky enough to pull as opposed to their actual favorite. Plus Flying tome users are way more rare and cool. After missing out on Spring Camilla, a lot of people weren't going to let that happen again with Summer Corrin. Also, personally, I find the Summer Corrin artwork to be much more attractive the the Summer Robin artwork. Go with Gaius. You can get a huge score if you wait for some later multipliers. You would be pretty much guaranteed top 1000 for the cumulative rank, and top 1000 for Team rank shouldn't be too hard either.
  16. Team ranking does. Total ranking doesn't. I was in the top 1000 for both rounds 1 and 2. They were probably was hoping Gaius would lose. Just another victim on the long road of Gaius's disappointed.
  17. Someone screen shot please. I, like most people, am with Corrin.
  18. FUCK. YOU. GAIUS. That asshole comes into this gauntlet and just disappoints everyone. Hangs on by the skin of his teeth to get a win against Freddy. Gets the first big upset due to a late multiplier against Leo. And now he is so pathetic that he wont be giving Corrin a single bonus hour. Somehow, my total rank is 11,044 despite being on Team Corrin from the very start. I even saved 715 flags coming into the Final Round.
  19. I don't want to hear anyone complain about sleep schedules. I haven't slept for more then 2 hours at a time since the gauntlet started. Basically I get a couple 29 min naps between battles. 2 battles per hour. Almost every hour. Of the possible 180 battles through two rounds, I will hit about 165-168 battles. Worst part is that I work 3rd shift so I wont be able to sleep for that 3 hours between rounds. I can't wait for the gauntlet to end. I'm gonna sleep for like 12 hours straight. Omg, If Gaius wins... The Final could be the most lopsided ever. Even if Team Gaius triples from all of the refugees, It would still be at least a 6:1 margin in Corrin's favor. Poor Leo. 3 disappointing loses in the gauntlet... Everyone should come to Team Corrin for that sweet revenge!
  20. Let's go Team Corrin! We need to do 6 billion+ or we could be in trouble, so lets hit them with everything we have!
  21. In all fairness, Gaius did consistently outscore Frederick in the first 10 hours, and they got the same number of bonuses in their match-up. Team Freddy must have just had a lot of people join later on.
  22. There is no way there will be back to back bonuses at this point. Corrin would need to do like 10 billion. Based on what we did last bonus, I'm thinking 7 billion is the absolute max we coud do.
  23. I'm pretty confident that we have enough flags to make up any potential deficit. Plus, two bonuses for Robin and one bonus for us would put us in a better position than just one bonus for Robin. Robin should do between 2.8 and 3 billion per bonus and Corrin should be able to do well over 6 billion. Basically, after trading bonuses, Robin would be in a larger hole than they are right now and their 2nd bonus wouldn't give them as large a lead as the first one will.
  24. Alright Robin, hit with everything you got. I want another damn multiplier for Team Corrin.
  25. Team Corrin here Anna is by default in the first slot of your first team. Anyone who played for a day and then quit will have an Anna as their lead.
