  1. yep. although I really ought to change it into something more personal
  2. On TV, or whatever, when someone puts their hand through a wall it's to let the viewer know that they're REALLY angry. The reason behind that is probably because a. there's usually a wall nearby and b. like @Slumber said, most modern indoor walls in the US have a thin-ish plaster layer, so a full-force punch would end up breaking the wall, not your hand. I don't know how often people do this in real life.
  3. Some I like, some I don't. I prefer Shiida or Sheeda to Caeda because it looks to me like they were trying to make the name look fancier. Or maybe to make it more different than Sheena/Sheema. I still pronounce it "shee-da" when I read it, out of habit I guess. Nabarl was a biblical reference, if I'm remembering correctly? Navarre sounds more elegant, though. I think Cherche is supposed to be pronounced "share-sheh". It's sort of psudo-French. Her Japanese name is written as セルジュ or "Seruju" (seen here, on the wiki) so I'm guessing "sare-jah" (like "Sarah") rather than "surge" would be closer to the intended pronunciation. Although I'm no expert in Japanese, so feel free to take this with a grain of salt.
  4. I don't know if good or bad voice acting is really something that can be put into words, it's more of a feeling. Just like it's tough to describe what good or bad music sounds like. Obviously a person can tell when something sounds like hot garbage, but actually describing it is harder. I'm going to say that good voice acting is when the voice and the character blend seamlessly; where you actually hear the character speaking and not some actor reading lines. A good VA has to be able to realistically convey emotions, attitude, etc using only their voice. (One of the reasons why I don't care too much for Hollywood actors being put in more voice-over roles is because they don't go through the same sort of training. Sure, they might get some vocal coaching but it's not a much as someone who's made a career out of it. But that's getting a bit off topic.)
  5. Blucina's got an interesting setup, I can see Future Vision being used with the Link skills. But 5 alts is enough for one character. FE has a huge cast to choose from; I'd like to see some of the less popular characters get some love.
  6. Christmas Lissa and Halloween Henry kicked a lot of ass together in my Heroes file and that sort of lead to me liking them together. It also lets Owain inherit the Sorcerer class line in Awakening, so there's a bonus.
  7. Oops, my bad. Well, maybe she's hiding one in there. Dagger is more probably more likely. Snowflake shaped shuriken would be cute. But this topic is about Hrid. He looks like a sword armor to me, and dagger flying Yglr would complete the snow siblings movement and weapon quartet. If that's what the devs are going for, anyway.
  8. He's a QT for sure. I'd like for him and Yglr to be playable. Yg's holding a book in her art, so she's probably a tome user. If all the Nifl siblings correspond to a different weapon color, what if she had a colorless tome? Don't know how badly that'd break the metagame, tho.
  9. I really like all the choices in this banner. Actually picked up Sumia in my first round of summoning but maybe I'll try again for Maribelle.
  10. Axes are now completely broken, rendering every other weapon useless. I wish for lots of avatar customization options in Three Houses.
  11. The only time microtransactions/lootboxes become a problem is when it becomes a necessity to play or enjoy the game. For example, the Star Wars: Battlefront controversy. You get plenty of free orbs ingame, and while buying some can give you the advantage in the arena, it's only really necessary if you want to be in the highest tier. (I'm F2P and I've been able to stay around tiers 16-18 without too much effort.) The arena is optional anyway and FTP players can get through the main story just fine. But like I said before, I'm not going to pay money for a chance at getting something I want, but I'd consider buyingif it was a guaranteed thing like BK. If other people want to buy orbs then I'm fine with it.
  12. Exactly. Nowi is practically a kid herself and Awakening likes to tap dance around the subject of pregnancy and childbirth when it comes to her. (as seen in her supports with Lon'Qu and Henry) In other words, the less I have to think about Nowi having babies, the better.
  13. When I first saw him I could not believe it. I was sorta expecting a Rider!Napoleon to be a thing because of that famous picture of him on a horse. Guess I'm just used to media portraying him as a tiny, angry man. But still...Why did they make him so hot? even though that's a perfectly reasonable question regarding any number of the game's men
  14. I have a soft spot for Sachiko Wada and Senri Kita because their work on the earlier FE games helped influence my own drawing style when I was younger. HACCAN's is really nice, Effie and Nephenee are both gorgeous. Kimihiko Fujisaki only has one character (Jakob) but it's fantastic. I adore his style. Julia and Dierdre by Haimura Kiyotaka are elegant and beautiful. Both meka (Cain, Linus) and Suekane Kumiko (Camus, Frederick) have a talent for drawing handsome men. I like the shiny, colorful styles of Takagi Masafumi (Clair, Peri), HAKO (Shanna, Caeda, Felicia), Enkyo Yuichiro (Bride Ninian, Soleil) and Ito Misei (LA!Eliwood) Maiponpon (M!Corrins, Lucina), Mikuro (Summer and NY Camillas), Konfuzi Kokon (L'Arachel, Nanna, Faye) and Shioemon's (Tailtu) works have this soft and gentle feel about them. Others I like are PenokoR (Legault, Ares, Valter), Kozaki himself, Daisuke Izuka (Minerva, Michalis), Chiko (F!Grima, Kinshi Hinoka), cuboon (Reinhardt, Olwen), and Yamada Kotaro (Lyn, Exalt Chrom)
  15. I like how the older games had characters speaking in a way that was...old-fashioned? Not like "thee"s and "thou"s but it fit the medieval fantasy setting. Fates was littered with modern slang and that almost completely broke the immersion.
  16. The reason I'm F2P is because otherwise it'd just be a slippery slope eventually leading to me spending hundreds of dollars. If I were rich, sure, I'd throw some money into the gacha, but right now I'm not too keen on paying for a chance to get something I want. As for those who pay, you do you. You're paying for entertainment just like people pay for movies and video games, no shame in that. Plus it supports the developers and keeps the game ad-free. (If you've ever witnessed mobile game ads you'll know how nice that is)
  17. I like to go the Pokemon route and explain it as "we found a egg, don't know where it came from!"
  18. The definition of "Mary Sue" can be hard to pin down. Some people think that in order to be a Mary Sue, a character has to be incredibly beautiful, powerful and special. Everyone either loves them unconditionally or hates them irrationally, and the latter group is always vilified. There's a lot more that can be said, but I'm going to take the easy route and just link to TV Tropes. (I'll see you in a few hours) Anyway, taken out of context, Micaiah has some of the traits associated with being one, but she doesn't exist in a vacuum. Put her into the story and she doesn't stand out any more that any of the other Fire Emblem lords. Characters with colorful hair and mysterious powers are a dime a dozen in the series. Healing or fortune telling or whatever is par for the course. It's not like; "this character comes from a different universe, and also they have a gun" (I just described Kiran, didn't I?) If the argument is that the plot revolves around her, well, yeah, because she's a protagonist. She's leading a resistance band in a war-torn country, of course that's going to draw some attention. On the subject of Ike, he could also be considered a Gary Stu when taken out of context, but we get to see him go from a small-time mercenary to a hero. Like everyone said, he earned it. I find it funny that RD builds him up as some sort of superman, but anyone who's played PoR knows he's just a dude who wants to fight for his friends and kinda fell ass-backwards into his role. TLDR; Ike and Miccy both have some Sue/Stu traits, but that's pretty standard for FE lords and they both fit in the story.
  19. IDK how this got on the topic of Xenoblade but here's my 2 cents. I haven't gotten too far into Genealogy, so I don't really know how much of a spoiler the Julia-Arvis and Julius-Dierdre connections are. I'd assume that swapping their hair colors would sort of kill the mystery if that were the case. But that begs the question of what if their roles were reversed as well?
  20. Thoughts: I would have never guessed they'd go with Linde, but dagger/horse is an interesting combo Camilla is not as surprising. Takumi Emblem is complete, though it's nice to see him with a kinshi like his siblings. Wonder if Sakura will get one eventually. Young Summer Tiki goes with Adult Summer Tiki. Makes sense.
  21. BB (MGS3/Naked Snake version) could be an alternate costume for Snake (seeing as they're practically identical), but Venom Snake would make a nice echo. Someone else mentioned swapping the Nikita missiles for ROCKET FIST and I'd like to see that too. Also Liquid. It's possible, considering they already have the voice actor on hand for M!Corrin.
  22. Story-wise that would make the most sense, but she's around the same size as TL and could use a similar move set. Just swap out the Master Sword for a cutlass and maybe a slingshot or pistol instead of a bow.
  23. What about Tetra as an echo for Toon Link? Fans have wanted her in the game for years.
